Why You Should Prep for Your Wedding Day Photography

A common mistake many brides make is not creating a wedding day picture list. Not sure what that exactly is? The Bride Link and Knox Wedding Creative are here to help! But first, don't forget to grab your FREE copy of our Ceremony Cheat Sheet!

Your picture list is simply a list of shots you want your photographer to capture. This includes things such as; specific poses you want, backdrop locations at your venue, targeting a time of day (golden hour), or bridal party groups, etc. It's so important to discuss these ideas with your photographer beforehand. If you have a particular image you have to have, you should let your photographer know ASAP! Doing this will help them deliver the perfect wedding album for you!

128 ~ Q&A - Dealing With Travel During a Pandemic (Part 2)

Enjoy these uplifting and positive conversations? Support the podcast through Patreon and get access to special audio and written content, be part of a private Facebook group (ladies only) and enjoy other benefits only for supporters of the podcast!

*****

As you may know, over these past couple of months, the podcast has taken a bit of departure from my usual long-form, in-person conversations with guests. Instead, I’ve been addressing different aspects of dealing with this pandemic and recording (remotely) episodes that are a bit shorter. If you go back, you can hear how to be happy during a pandemic, how to stay fit, how to journal, how to boost your immune system. All sorts of useful info to help you get through this trying time.

This week is yet another slight departure. You’ll recall that a few weeks ago I shared a Q&A about travel that was recorded with “my” tour people via Zoom. I invited past and future WanderTours participants to join me so that I could answer their questions about travel.

Well, I had a second call with my tour people on May 5 and I wanted to share that conversation here as well.

In this Q&A session, I start out by giving some behind the scenes info about how things work with WanderTours—and why the company is in such good financial health. We also talked about what might happen if a person were to get stuck at a destination, we talked about the best time to purchase travel insurance, and there was even a question about my races that I was to run this year (and how my approach to those is how we all might consider approaching our circumstances right now).

Please enjoy this Q&A episode that is all about travel.

American Concentration Camps- A tragic part of California history

Manzanar War Relocation Center- this was one of several Japanese Internment camps during World War 2. The Japanese people were forced to leave their homes and live in internment camps during the war. The camps could be called relocation centers or internment camps, but the reality was they were concentration camps.
Manzanar is located next to Highway 395 in a desert portion of the state of California. It has been made a National Historical landmark so that all people can see the tragedy of wars. The makeshift buildings that were created had been torn down and some of them were recreated so that people could see the living conditions.
It was found to not be unconstitutional after 4 years and the people were released but at that point they had lost everything and had to start over again.
Manzanar housed 10,000 of the 120,000 Japanese that had been interned.

The historical site is free to visit and run by the National Parks.

It should be mandatory that all people see this part of history so that it is never repeated again.

Please take a moment to watch this video. Thank you.

We love travel and when we go beyond the West, we will show that as well. We love to show history and historic places along with places the entire family can enjoy.

Tourism Burnaby Social Hour - Social Tightening in the Face of Uncertainty with Thom Singer

Tourism Burnaby Social Hour - Wednesday 6th May 2020
Topic: Social Tightening in the Face of Uncertainty

In times of change and uncertainty, how you connect with people matters more than ever. Society has been heavily impacted by the Coronavirus and the necessary moves to social distancing. But as group meetings stop and people work from home, human connections become more important than ever.

Thom has spent 15 years teaching people how to connect. As face-to-face events were cancelled, he knew this was the time to double down on business and personal relationships.
Creating plans to keep ties with family, friends, coworkers, customers, etc… do not happen by accident. Social Tightening is his recommendations for companies and associations who desire to help their people stay engaged.

EP 83: Transitioning to Night Shift

One of the most difficult careers out there is nursing. Nursing is similar to all medical careers in that it is a 24-hour job. This means there are people working all around the clock. 24-hour careers require a certain amount of people to work the night shift.
