Pakistan's Orange Line Metro Train Lahore Journey

Pakistan's Orange Line Metro Train Lahore City Journey 2020. Pakistan is a country located in South Asia. It is the world's fifth-most populous country with more than 220 million people. There are different modes of Transportation in Pakistan but my video is about Pakistan's Orange Line Metro Train. It is in Pakistan's second-largest city Lahore. the capital of the Pakistani province Punjab. It is a Cultural Centre for over a thousand years. There are many attractions to keep you busy. The Mughal and Sikh legacy survives in the Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque, and Gurdwara, the Mall is lined with colonial-gothic buildings from the British Raj, Lahore’s population is about 12 Million. I live in a village, I want to ride on Orange Line Metro Train. Orange Line is an automated rapid transit system. The line spans 27.1 km with 25.4 km elevated and 1.72 km underground. The line is served by 26 stations and is expected to handle 250,000 passengers daily. It is a part of the wider CPEC China Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Orange line is being financed by both the Government of Pakistan, and the Government of China. The project was initiated with a signed memorandum of understanding between the governments of Pakistan and China in May 2014. China's Exim Bank provided a soft loan of 1.55 Billion USD. Construction works began in October 2015 and after many hurdles now it was inaugurated on 25th October 2020. The ticket price is 40 PKR about 25 cents. Hopefully, It will lead to the reduction of a large number of vehicles on the roads, thus positively contributing towards reducing pollution in Lahore City. It is the first project that is completed under CPEC. Now in the beginning Chinese operators are running the Orange line metro trains and Pakistani operators will take control in a few days. The gap between the two trains is about 6 Minutes. Its timing schedule is from 07:30 AM to 08:30 PM. Lahore is also well known for historical buildings and many other attractions Now the Metro Train is a new attraction. There is also the Metro Bus service. There are 26 Stations, Ali Terminal, Thokar Niaz Baig, Canal View, Hanjarwa Wahadat, Awan, Sabzazar, Shahnoor, Salahudin, Bund Road, Samanabad, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Chauburji, Anarkali, Central Station-GPO, Lakshmi Chowk, Lahore Junction Station, UET, Baghbanpura, Shalimar Gardens, Pakistan Mint, Mahmood Booti, Salamatpura, Islam Bagh, Dera Gujran Terminal. episode 202

Orange Line Metro Train in LAHORE As Seen By A Railfan | Now OPEN for Public

Hello Everyone, Today (25th October 2020) is a historic day for people of Lahore because today a great public transport project named Orange Line Metro Train has been officially opened for public. It is a great project for people of Lahore as they can travel from Dera Gujran (GT Road) to Ali Town (Thokar Niaz Baig) for just 40 Rupees.
It is a modern way to travel and the stations and train itself is excellent. This project is completed under CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) and is funded by both China and Pakistan. Right now a basic introductory fare of 40 Rs is charged for any stop to any stop. It has total of 26 stations out of which 2 are underground while remaining 24 are elevated.
Today I was invited at the inauguration ceremony where I enjoyed the ride from Dera Gujran to Ali Town and then back. I am really happy for citizens of Lahore and hope such project could be started in other cities too.
Do tell me in feedback if you like this video.
