4K Cenotes Dive Relaxation Video - Mexican Underwater Caves - Incredible Underwater World - 3 HOUR

Discover the underground world of the Caribbean! Join our amazing descent into the mysterious dungeons of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. In this 4K UHD relaxation video you will have luck to make an underwater journey through the extraordinary cenotes. Sound is original. Cenotes are natural pits in the terrain filled with underground water. The ancient Maya called them the gateways to the realm of dead and believed their waters to be sacred. You will meet fabulously beautiful play of bright blue and green colors at the cavern entrance. Admire the underwater caves, bizarre formations, glorious rays of sunlight piercing the water, the ceiling and walls of the caves resembling a Gothic architecture and other impressive things. Look at the water surface from below and catch a sense of wonder happening to you, verging on disorientation. Exploring an underwater cavern is always thrilling, mysterious and capturing experience. Let the bottomless blue waters of the dungeon evoke a feeling of exciting anticipation and delight. Music and the nature sounds that greeted you at the beginning, fade away as you dive. The sounds of gurgling water and the regular breathing of a scuba diver create a unique white noise that is good to calm down and balance.

How to Hold Your Breath Longer: a freediving tutorial from a professional freediver

How to hold your breath longer. There are no tricks to holding your breath longer and becoming a better freediver but there are ways that you can train. This tutorial details how to train for freediving, what aspects of our bodies we are training when we hold our breath, specific freediving techniques and the best exercises to maximise your natural freediving ability.

How do I hold my breath longer is probably the most common question that I get asked and the truth is that there is no simple answer. It's also impossible to put all the information to increasing your breath hold into one video so I will be releasing several videos on the topic.

The information in this video really does require you to have some prior freediving knowledge like:

-How to breathe before a dive
-How to rescue a blackout
-Hypoxia and Carbon Dioxide theory
-Basic freediving safety

Hi there, I’m Christan Long:
Did you know it's possible to dive 30m, or even 50m, or a world record 130m under the water in just one breath of air??

Join me on my SSI level 2 freediving course with Gili Air Divers as I learn to be a little bit less human and a lot more like a fish!

Actually I have done a level one course before in Egypt so this is another step up.

By the end of my course I managed to reach the maximum depth that I was allowed, 30m on one simple breath of air!

If you would like to learn this same skill you can. Free divers are not superhuman, they simply have the knowledge they need to dive deep under the water.

So check out Gili air divers, located on the stunning Island of Gili Air, near Bali. I highly recommend them, and a freediving course. You will most likely learn a lot more about yourself and the underwater world in just a couple of days.

My instructor first taught me some stretching sessions and a quick pool session. If anyone would like to learn this same skill they can. Free divers are not superhuman, they simply have the knowledge they need to dive deep under the water. By the end of the course I managed to reach a maximum depth which was 30m, in one breath. It’s possible to dive 30m, or even 50m, or a world record 130m under the water in just one breath of air. It just requires time and practice to do it.

Freediving the Boga Wreck in Bali: Adventures on One Breath #7

Freediving the Boga Wreck in Bali. Freediving this wreck was such a treat. I haven't dived many wrecks that were so complete and whole as the Boga wreck. It even had a car wreck inside the hold! A very fun freediving trip with some good freediving buddies from Australia.

We had stunning conditions and visibility for the dive as well which is always a bonus. The wreck starts at about 20 metres deep and goes to around 35 metres deep which I loved because it means that not many freedivers have been there before.

I filmed this video just after teaching an 8 day freediving course and then instructor course in Bali so I was definitely in need of some fun!

Staying on a yacht, freediving the crystal waters of Fiji- this was a perfect freediving holiday. After my first dive in Fiji I wondered why I hadn't been travelling and diving there for years.

Huge thank you to Subsurface Fiji for hosting us and Captain Kurt Roll for letting us stay on his Yacht! A big thanks to Bryan Bailey for having to put up with me :P

Yucatán In One Breath: A wild swimmer’s guide to Mexico

The ancient Mayans revered the cenotes of Yucatán, Mexico. Champion free diver Camila Jaber reveals their hypnotic appeal.

Read our interview with free diver Camila Jaber:
Learn more about Yucatán’s cultural heritage:
Everything you need to plan your Mexico trip:

The Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico is famed for the thousands of cenotes strewn across its storied landscape: water holes that connect to an underground river system. And few know them better than Camila Jaber, a champion free diver who can swim to depths of over 260 feet.
In our film, Jaber explains their cultural and ecological importance. To the ancient Mayans, they were passageways to the underworld, and today, they remain a crucial part of the region’s ecology. She also explores the jungle, where Mayan pyramids can be found amongst the trees, the MUSA, an undersea sculpture park near Cancun’s Mayan Riviera, home also to the popular tourist resort of Tulum, and visits Valladolid, one of Yucatán’s most photogenic Pueblos Mágicos, where locals keep ancient Mayan cultural traditions alive, from food to music and dance.
This is an epic travel experience over land and under the sea.
