This spring I went on an extraordinary journey. I went on a road trip, through the Sultanate of Oman. I went to the rawest deserts, the highest mountains, and the most spectacular coastline I have seen in my life. In this foreign country in the middle east I was not welcomed as a foreigner, but as a friend. A month and 2500 Kilometers of adventure through Oman.

Episode 32 - In the fourth part of this Oman documentary series we continue our road trip down to the coastal city of Sur. Sur is a town steeped in history and has long been a hub of marine activities and shipbuilding. Sur's shipyards are renowned for their age-old craftmanship of dhow boats.
After bidding farewell to Sur, our journey leads us away from the coastline, into the heart of the Wahiba Sands Desert. These golden sand dunes stretch as far as the eye can see and have some of the highest dunes in the world. By the time we arrive its well after dark and we look for a place to camp. But our trip doesn't go as planned, we end up being rescued by some locals, they invited us back to stay at their camel farm and enjoy an evening of Omani hospitality.
The next day we travel to see the ancient ruins of Birkat Al Mouz and the Nakhal Hot Springs as known as (Al Thowarah Hot Springs)

Episode 31 - In the third part of this Oman documentary series we take a road trip through Oman. There are so many options when hiring a vehicle to do a road trip in Oman. You can rent a Four-Wheel Drive with rooftop tent and all the camping gear supplied or just hire a 4WD and buy some cheap camping gear. We did this and it worked out so much cheaper. Driving in Oman is easy and most of the main roads are in perfect condition and well signage. We were honestly surprised how nice the highways were – so wide open and smooth. The other amazing thing is you can camp just about anywhere you want in public areas only not private property of course unless you have been invited to come and stay which had happened to us regularly. The Omani people are some of the kindest and most hospitable we have ever meet in traveling the world.
The first stop on our journey was the Bimmah Sinkhole also known as Hawiyat Najm Park is filled with water about 200 meters inland. It is about one and half hours drive south of the capital Muscat. It is one of the most beautiful natural pools in the Middle East and is free to enter.
Next stop is Wadi Shab and is one of the top highlights of Oman trip. We get a boat across the river mouth to start our hike. It takes about 1 hour to hike through the narrow canyon which has many crystal-clear blue water pools along the way. We soon reach the end of the hiking trail from here we have to swim for about 20 mins through a number of beautiful refreshing pools to reach a secret waterfall inside a cave.

Episode 29 - In the first part of this Oman documentary series we are in Muscat, the capital of Oman. We explore this beautiful city, including the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. We enjoy lunch in a traditional Omani restaurant called Bait Al Luban. We visit Muscats biggest fish market and enjoy an incredible sunset boat cruise along Omans rugged and mountainous coastline into Mutrah Harbour. The evening is the time the Mutrah Corniche comes alive and here is where you can find the Mutrah Souq one of the oldest marketplaces in the middle east. Learn about Frankincense, it is an integral part of Oman’s culture and heritage. Also discover the importance of the Omani Khanjar, also known as the Omani dagger. It is a traditional weapon and symbol of the Omani people.

OMAN History (Travel Documentary)
In this documentary, I will start with Salalah which is the farthest end of Oman. First, I will take you to the lost city of Ubar. This ruined city is supposedly belong to the tribe of 'Ad and of Iram's pillars that is mentioned in the holy book of Qur'an. Then, I will take you to Salalah which is also known as the city of Prophets. Here, I will show you the possible grave sites of Prophets Imran, Ayyub, Hood Alaihis Salam. Here, you will also get to see the footprints of the She-Camel of Prophet Saleh Alaihis Salam, the possible site of the palace of Queen Sheeba or Malika Bilqees, and the grave site of Hazrat Aabir Bin Hood Alaihis Salam. I will also show you a gravity hill where one feels anti-gravity forces amd also the Frankincense Trail. From there, I will drive to Muscat area where I will show you various historical places which include Barka Castle, An' Numan Castle, and Nakhal Fort. I will end my trip at the famous Wadi Al'Ain where 3rd millennium BC necropolises of ancient city Bat is found. Enjoy!
