We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ????????????

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we rean out of money and went home to normal life. We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Welcome to our Norway travel vlog where we take you on a full tour of our Norwegian #tinyhome overlooking the bluest lake! Have you ever wanted to try out tiny living? How about a tiny cabin on a perfectly blue lake in Norway? Sold!
We spent our time in Norway recuperating from Iceland in a quaint tiny home in the town of Vaga on the most beautiful body of water we’ve seen. I’m telling you it glows blue!
Our tiny cabin up on the hill with the traditional grass roofing was just what we needed to relax and enjoy Norway. Our host even let us use the fire pit to roast s’mores!
In this Norway travel vlog, we will take you around the town of Vaga to see one of the most unique wooden churches and on a full tour of our Norwegian tiny house! We found Vaga to be perfect for our stay. It has a couple of good restaurants, a big grocery store and is enough out of the way to feel at ease and in nature. You can walk from the cabin to town and back while enjoying the lake views at every turn.

Ultra Modern A-frame Tree House - 8m High Cabin
In this video I'll show you a unique A-frame cabin that sits on stilts, 8 meters above the ground. This tiny treehouse is right in the treetops and offers stunning views over the surrounding forest. Let me show you around in this full cabin tour.
Detailed information:
My first project for @bold.cabins was at the wonderful and unique PAN Treetop Cabins, two hours from Oslo in Norway.
Flying through this cabin was a great experience but also a big challenge. In the afternoon, where the light would probably have been better, the wind was just too strong for my tiny drone to get a clean one-shot video. So I waited for a quieter moment right before the sun was setting.
To the cabins:
When you turn off the main road, after a few meters you are driving through a beautiful forest which already gives you an opportunity to relax.
Drive slowly and enjoy the view of all the trees!
In my case, I didn’t see any cars while I was there and part of the road to the cabin is also private and cordoned off.
The arrival is already impressive when you see the cabin for the first time. In total there are three A-frame cabins for overnight stays.
It’s a perfect place to relax and unwind and you can bring your friends too as it can accommodate up to six people. And the cute a-frame cabin high up in the treetops offers everything you need for a wonderful stay.
I stayed for one night and just loved it!

Luxury Glamping: Inside the Woodnest Treehouse in Norway
Incredible views and luxury glamping combine for a wonderful experience at Woodnest Odda Treehouse; part 4 of our Norway’s best hotels & Airbnb series. Is this tiny house /tiny hotel, Norway’s best glamping experience? Nestled on a mountain top, overlooking a fjord, these places are pretty special. There are 2 lower tree houses that sleep four, and two upper tree houses that sleep two. Each treehouse is a testament to innovative design and respectful integration with nature. With their curved, organic forms, these treehouses blend in with the landscape; your own little nest in the sky. The large windows frame great views of the surrounding fjords, forests, and mountains, but there is a pretty visible aluminum smelter on the fjord that you will need to pretend doesn't exist (that’s what wine’s for).
And you’ll need a drink once you get up there, because these places are hard to get to. The walk up is totally doable, but you need to be abale-bodies because it’s steep and will take 30 to 45 minutes.
The kitchenette has what you need to cook, pots, pans, and cooking oil. There’s also tea and coffee.
The Treehouses are a masterclass in high-end finishes and efficiency. Yup, the interiors are compact, but designed to maximize space and comfort. Each treehouse has comfy bedding, modern bathrooms, modern furnishing, all crafted to harmonize with the organic aesthetic.
The treehouses give you a unique vantage point to watch the ever-changing landscapes, from the misty mornings where the fjords are shrouded in a mystical veil, to some great sunsets. The area’s great for hiking, bird watching, and there are two national parks close by. Enjoy!

Auge is a spectacular experience of Norwegian nature, eye scouting out on the unregulated River Tessungåe. It is easy to reach by car, yet tucked away and equipped as a mountain cabin.
Tretopphytta is an adventure in itself, and all seasons are special in their own way. If you feel like being active, there are great opportunities for hiking, fishing and cross-country skiing on the Hardangervidda plateau. If you want to challenge yourself, Gaustatoppen is also close by with a ski centre, off-piste and mountaineering opportunities.

A Norwegian Tiny House Adventure
The summer of 2019, Ask drove a tiny house across Norway as part of a campaign to preserve the worlds bees. We crossed the mountains (Hardangervidda) to the fjords, driving on narrow, windy roads, trough low, dark tunnels and had to take a ferry to get to the destination.
The music is called The River by Norwegian artist Aurora!
