GLASS IGLOO & LOG CABIN TOUR at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort Finland

Welcome to Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Lapland, Finland! This is a bonus upload for you guys, from my old trip to Scandinavia back in February 2020.

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort was established over 50 years ago. The property is widely regarded as one of the top resorts in the region and their glass igloo accommodations are world-famous according to the resort's website and Instagram.

Do the glass igloos live up to the hype?

The resort has over 200 different rooms and the resort is spread out over this vast complex split into two separate villages. The sheer size of this entire operation is very impressive.

I got the opportunity to stay in three different types of accommodation at the resort over the course of three back to back nights- a glass igloo, a kelo glass igloo, and a log cabin. Get ready for some crazy room tours and fun activities in winter wonderland.

Which of the three accommodations was your favorite?

FINLAND Igloo Hotel | Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort***** | Sleeping under the Northern Lights

Hi Everyone,

Welcome back to my travel vlog.

What are the best hotels to stay in Lapland?
Today's video is about what it’s really like to stay in a glass igloo hotel. ❄

We stayed at the KAKSLAUTTANEN ARCTIC RESORT in FINLAND.
If you want an igloo experience is hard to beat this resort. It's located 250km above the Arctic Circle and it offers a very good opportunity to see the NORTHERN LIGHTS.

Well we spent four days in a Kelo-Glass igloo. It's a combine of a log chalet and glass igloo. It's made from Lapland's unique Kelo pinewood. I was amazed by how romantic the vibe in the woods was.

They are located right at the edge of the wilderness, along the road to the Arctic Sea. It’s a mere stone’s throw to the Urho Kekkonen National Park, the largest of Finland’s national parks. The Sami have inhabited the region for over a century. The surrounding environment is one of the cleanest you’ll find anywhere in the world. The water is so pure that you can quench your thirst straight from a stream running down the fell or the lake into which it flows, and the air is so fresh that you can feel it deep down in your lungs. Up here, winters are cold and summers comfortably warm. All in all, what you’ll find here is perfection.

We attended to Husky dog and reindeer safari.
I'm happy to say, that for both of these activities the animals appeared to be very well-treated, especially the huskies, who were beyond excited to get out running and pulling the sled through the wintery landscape.
