Norway - Land of the Fjords 1

Fjords are one of the most beautiful travel goals in the world. Bus tour on the route: Lillehammer, Trollstigen, strawberry valley, Eagle Road, a cruise on Geirangerfjord, Jostedalsbreen National Park with the largest glacier in Europe.
Fjords are deep, narrow and long inlets with steep land on three sides. The fjords were formed by giant glacier tongues that shaped the landscape over several ice ages.

Norway 8K ULTRA HD HDR - Land of Fjords, Midnight Sun & The Northern Lights

Norway is a ruggedly beautiful country of mountains, fjords and glaciers. The 'Land of the Midnight Sun' has delightfully long summer days, unspoiled fishing villages and rich historic sites that include Viking ships and medieval stave churches.

Norway's varied geography surprises many visitors who imagine the country as a frozen monolith. On the contrary, the temperate south includes rolling farmlands, enchanted forests and sunny beaches as well as the dramatic Western Fjords. North of the Arctic Circle, the population thins, the horizons grow wider and the temperature dips. It's no wonder that Norway prizes its stunning natural wonders and retains a robust frontier character unusual in Europe. From north to south the length of the country is almost 2000 kilometers.

November through March is the absolute peak season for Northern Lights viewing because the nights are longest, but a visit anytime between September and March should give you a good chance to see them, with March offering the best chance of clear skies.

Experience the breathtaking nature of Norway in 8K!

The video was shot on a canon t3i.
To get the smooth and flying shoots i used a flycam nano (special thanks to Alireza Davatgar here).
Most time I mounted the tokina 11-16 2,8 on my canon. But a few shoots I also shot with the Canon 24-70 2,8.

How to Norway: What is a fjord? | Visit Norway

Norway is famous for its beautiful fjords. Over 1000 fjords can be found around the country. But what exactly IS a fjord? Even some of the locals we asked didn't really know! In this episode of How to Norway, Dag and Katarina share a few points on what makes a fjord a fjord:

- The water in a fjord is seawater! A fjord is connected to the ocean, so it’s like a backwards ocean river going INTO the country!
- The fjords are a result of the ice age! The ice carved out U-shaped valleys that got filled with seawater.
- A fjord has to be longer than it is wide.
- Norway is the country in the world that is best known for having fjords.
- The word fjord is a Norwegian word used in many languages.
- Being home to more than 1,200 fjords, Norway has the second longest coastline in the world. Not bad for the 61st-largest country on the planet.
- Norwegians live by the fjord, travel on them, fish and swim in them. Just like the Vikings used to do!

Visiting places like Vøringsfossen, Aurlandsfjellet, Gaularfjellet, Trollstigen and Atlanterhavsveien.

This is the after movie of that trip – from the land of fjords.
