Best New Zealand North Island Coromandel Road Trip | Travellers Autobarn Campervan 2018 Part 1.
Our first day with the campervan, we pitch up at a campsite near Thames, South of Auckland before heading to the Coromandel Peninsula and the hot sands of Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove and walking an old railway line and on to Taupo and some thermal springs. New Zealand's Incredible North Island is a dream for a campervan road trip. Here we are exploring the delights of a road trip from our 5 week trip in March 2018. We hired our campervan from Travellers Autobarn, starting from Auckland, the 2-3 berth Kuga suited us fine, after we'd rented the same time in 2017 for an epic road trip across Australia!! New Zealand is fab, perfect for a camper trip and all that the freedom of the open road allows!!

New Zealand North Island Road Trip (2018)
I've had some time on in my hands and wanted to re do our new Zealand road trip video. This is the best I could do using the footage from our old gopro.
We flew in to Wellington where we picked up our jucy camper van and then headed to tongariro to hike the alpine crossing. From here it was onto taupo for huka falls and a thermal bath. Next stop was rotorua where we visited a living Maori vallage, hiked in the red wood and went mountain biking at skyline. Our rest day was a long drive north to hot water beach and cathedral cove before finishing off in Auckland.

After a lovely day in Wellington, we hit the road to explore Cape Palliser, the Putangirua Pinnacles and some nice waterfalls. in February 2018 the 3 of us traveled New Zealand in a campervan for 25 days.
This is the first part of our journey where we discover the North Island. We take an unwanted 5-day-trip to Cape Reinga via Bay of Islands, explore the Dawson Falls at Mt. Taranaki and jump out of a plane at 15.000 ft in Taupo.
