On this Cambodian street food tour in Phnom Penh, I’m taking you on a one day tour to eat authentic Khmer breakfast lunch and dinner in a single day.
Cambodian Breakfast - 7 am
There are plenty of dishes you can eat for breakfast in Cambodia, but nothing is as popular or widely available as a dish called bai sach chrouk, grilled thin strips of marinated pork over broken rice with pickles and soup on the side. It’s a simple combination, but a plate for breakfast is extremely satisfying. Price - 3,500 KHR ($0.84)
Cambodian Lunch - 11:30 am
Just outside of Psar Chas (Old Market) in Phnom Penh, you’ll find an abundance of colorful Khmer street food stall that serve all sorts of grilled river fish, and a huge selection of different dishes to choose from. While most locals get their food for takeaway, a kind lady offered us a seat in front of her house to sit down and eat. It was an amazing and extremely local Cambodian food lunch. The grilled fish and the parhok were my favorite dishes. Lunch total price - 35,000 KHR ($8.42)
Cambodian Dinner - 6:30 pm
For Cambodian dinner we decided to eat Cambodian bbq, and it’s a type of restaurant you’re going to want to try when you’re in Cambodia. 34 Langeach Sros is a Cambodian beer garden style restaurant, and they have a pretty good assortment of grilled meats and unique Cambodian delicacies. It was one of the tastiest Cambodian meals I’ve ever had in my life. The ant larvae and goat was amazing, and the eel fried with herbs was outstanding. Thank you to Lina from for the recommendation. Total price - $22.88
That completes an authentic tour of Cambodian food in a single day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

But a visit to the Orussey Market in Phnom Penh gives you the opportunity to interact with the local people and learn about their everyday life. The market sells fresh food, everyday items and clothes. At night, there are numerous local food stands outside the market building.

If you are looking for a drink as the sun is setting, or to dine al fresco then Riverside Phnom Penh is the place to head in Cambodia.
Many of the bars and restaurants in Phnom Penh line the road adjacent to the river, making this a hive of activity with local food stalls selling fried insects and many locals using the space for exercise to sit and relax as the sun goes down. Take a walk from close to Chaktomuk Theatre all the way to Phnom Penh Night Market (Phsar Reatrey) and you are guaranteed to experience all manner of activities from sports to aerobics along the way.

When i went to Olympic Stadium, i took video of many street foods there as they have different kind of foods like bacon bread with pate, grilled skew beef, papaya salad with chicken drum or chicken wing, fried noodle with eggs, sticky rice steam with sugar and cococnut and cupcake with many flavor for your choice as in this video. We can choose their 4 flavor, chocolate, strawberry, bean, durian. I like the cupcake with bean and durian flavor. It's sweet and yummy.

They are mostly pork. Ingredients for dry braised pork: Meat - pig head (if u like), intestines, liver, stomach, tongue - groceries - sugar, chopped garlic, salt, fish sauce, star anis, msg if you like. How to do it - fry sugar and chopped garlic until they get golden brown and sticky, then add pork, salt, fish sauce, star anis, some water to prevent the pork from getting burnt, leave it ti simmer and get tender, and the dish should now be ready.
