The town of Nerja enjoys some 3,500 hours of annual sunshine and temperatures that average 30ºC in summer and 15ºC during the short winter.
Nerja has more than its fair share of fabulous beaches, boasting 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear and calm water, and a splattering of small coves. All major water sports are available along the coastline, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing.
The main beaches are Burriana and Torrecilla, both have been awarded the blue flag. Favourite amongst locals and visitors alike is Burriana Beach, where you can enjoy good food, including delicious shellfish barbecues on the beach and the speciality lunchtime monster paella.

Nerja is a municipality on the Costa del Sol in the Province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalucía in southern Spain. Located on the southern Mediterranean coast, about 50 kilometers east of Málaga.
During the Muslim rule, its name was Narixa, which means abundant source and is the origin of the current name of this town.
Sheltered by the impressive Sierra Almijara mountain range, Sierra Almijara, this former fishing village is now one of the most popular tourist resorts along the coast. Preferring to stay to its roots, this charming seaside town has resisted re-development and high-rise apartments, thus attracting more holidaymakers.
One of the town's most spectacular attractions is the Balcón de Europa (the Balcony of Europe), a very impressive promenade that stretches along the edge of a soaring cliff top which was once the location of a Moorish castle. The platform has amazing panoramic views of the Mediterranean coastline, with its backdrop of mountains.
The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with flowers such as geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing.

Nerja is situated at the eastern tip of the Costa del Sol, in the province of Malaga, 50 kilometres from the city of Malaga and within an hour and a half’s drive from Granada and the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada.
Sheltered by the impressive Sierra Almijara mountain range, Sierra Almijara, this once sleepy fishing village is now one of the most popular tourist resorts along the coast, with a population of over 12,000. The town has resisted too much re-development and high rise apartment blocks, preferring to stay a charming seaside town, attracting the more discerning holidaymaker; the town is often referred to as the ‘’Jewel of the Costa del Sol’.
One of the town’s most impressive attractions is the Balcón de Europa (the Balcony of Europe), a wonderful promenade, stretching along the edge of a soaring cliff top, which was once the location of a Moorish castle. The platform has spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean coastline, with its backdrop of mountains.
The deep Andalusian culture that the town exudes, perfect climate and cosmopolitan atmosphere, has made Nerja one of the most attractive holiday hotspots on the Costa del Sol.

Visitors can hire a horse-drawn carriage and explore the town’s most interesting streets and attractions. When in Nerja visits to the 17th Century Church of El Salvador and the Gardens of Capistrano Playa are essential.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and lots of lovely plazas (squares) where you can sit and watch the world pass by.
As with most of Spain, Tapas is an integral part of the local cuisine, and there are lots of great tapas bars in and around Nerja; order a drink and you will often receive a few tapa. does have its own speciality dishes including De La Doncella (Red Mullet dish) and Pescaito Frito (platter of fried fish). There are a wide variety of different cuisines on offer in Nerja; you will be spoilt for choice.

Nerja is a small fishing and agricultural village in Málaga. It is the last town East of Málaga, bordering with Granada and its subtropical climate translates to 320 days of sun, making Nerja an ideal tourist resort spot, for relaxation, leisure, or business.
In the center of the town, there you can find one of the most iconic structures in Nerja, the Balcón de Europa. It is a balcony above a cliff that looks over the sea where the beaches and cliffs surrounding the area can be seen.
The old town is a typical Andalucian town filled with white-washed houses and pebbled streets. These streets are filled with shops and specialty stores where you can find sweet wines, sugar cane honey and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
A place full of history and wonderful places for everyone, Nerja surely is a must-visit when you come to Málaga.

Nerja Spain Playa Burriana Restaurants & Bars Update April 2022 Costa del Sol | Axarquía | Málaga 4K
The Burriana beach is one of the most important beaches in Nerja. The beach has 800 meters in length and 40 meters in width with fine and golden sand and crystal clear waters.
This beach is a firm favorite among tourists and offers many services with a beautiful promenade with different variety of shops, restaurants and bars.
The famous Ayo Restaurant, located on the very beach of Burriana is one of the best. The restaurant has been cooking the best wood-fired paellas on the Costa Del Sol for more than 30 years. A mythical place that cannot be missed on any visit to Nerja.
One activity that is highly recommended is the sea kayaking. Playa Burriana offers different types of water sports activities like jetskis, kayaks, parasailing, and a diving center. Children's play areas and volleyball courts are also available along with other amenities.

There are also good amount of squares found in Nerja, Plaza España is considered as the main square, although Plaza Cantanero, Plaza de la Ermita, and Plaza Andalucía are all full of charm. On the other hand, Plaza Tutti Frutti is full of late night bars and clubs available for those who want to experience the local nightlife scene in the area.

The town of Nerja enjoys some 3,500 hours of annual sunshine and temperatures that average 30ºC in summer and 15ºC during the short winter.
Nerja has more than its fair share of fabulous beaches, boasting 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear and calm water, and a splattering of small coves. All major water sports are available along the coastline, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing.
The main beaches are Burriana and Torrecilla, both have been awarded the blue flag. Favourite amongst locals and visitors alike is Burriana Beach, where you can enjoy good food, including delicious shellfish barbecues on the beach and the speciality lunchtime monster paella.

Nerja is situated at the eastern tip of the Costa del Sol, in the province of Malaga, 50 kilometres from the city of Malaga and within an hour and a half’s drive from Granada and the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada.
Sheltered by the impressive Sierra Almijara mountain range, Sierra Almijara, this once sleepy fishing village is now one of the most popular tourist resorts along the coast, with a population of over 12,000. The town has resisted too much re-development and high rise apartment blocks, preferring to stay a charming seaside town, attracting the more discerning holidaymaker; the town is often referred to as the ‘’Jewel of the Costa del Sol.’
One of the town’s most impressive attractions is the Balcón de Europa (the Balcony of Europe), a wonderful promenade, stretching along the edge of a soaring cliff top, which was once the location of a Moorish castle. The platform has spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean coastline, with its backdrop of mountains.
The deep Andalusian culture that the town exudes, perfect climate and cosmopolitan atmosphere, has made Nerja one of the most attractive holiday hotspots on the Costa del Sol.
The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing.
As with most of Spain, Tapas is an integral part of the local cuisine, and there are lots of great tapas bars in and around Nerja. Nerja does have its own specialty dishes including De La Doncella (Red Mullet dish) and Pescaíto Frito (platter of fried fish). There are a wide variety of different cuisines on offer in Nerja; you will be spoilt for choice.

Visitors can hire a horse-drawn carriage and explore the town’s most interesting streets and attractions. When in Nerja visits to the 17th Century Church of El Salvador and the Gardens of Capistrano Playa are essential.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and lots of lovely plazas (squares) where you can sit and watch the world pass by.

Torremolinos Spain Sizzling Hot like Summer Town & Beach Update April 2022 Costa del Sol | Málaga 4K
A product of the tourist boom in the 1960s, Torremolinos began as a small fishing village to a large, densely-populated town dedicated entirely to sun and sand tourism. Torremolinos showcases large beaches with various related facilities and services.
The famous Pimentel Tower is the town's most significant monnument and serves as an icon, with some traces of the past still visible around the areas of La Carihuela and Bajondillo districts.
The origins and name of the town derive from a watchtower (torre) and the mills (molinos) built there to grind wheat, positioned perpendicularly to the ocean in order to harness the hydraulic power generated by the water flowing into it.
During the second half of the 20th century, Torremolinos has changed significantly with regards to the population's lifestyle and economic activities when the progressive development of tourism that had begun which created a transformation that turned the town into one of today's best-known holiday resorts.

Malaga City Port Spain Lovely Summer 2023 Nightlife July Update | Costa del Sol | Andalucía [4K]
With modern shops, restaurants and bars bordering one side of the central orange tree-lined promenade and exclusive yachts flanking the other, Muelle Uno is not your average shopping complex. The waterfront open-air mall offers a contemporary shopping and dining experience by the sea, with stunning views of La Alcazaba to remind you of the city's Moorish past.
As the name suggests, the recently redeveloped Muelle Uno area ('Quay One' in English) is located in Malaga Port. After 13 years of planning and negotiations, an 80-million-euro budget, and with over 400 new jobs created, Muelle Uno was officially inaugurated at the end of November 2011.
The complex boasts an impressive array of shops, with over 30 outlets selling everything from clothes, shoes and accessories, to cosmetics, handmade jewellery and home furnishings. Offering far from the usual high street shops, Muelle Uno is the place to go if you're looking for something a little different, such as the modern and original home decorations at Mandragora or the elegant fashions at Etxart & Panno. Many well-known brands are represented, such as Helly Hansen at Nautilus and Lacoste, as well as high street names Deichmann, Kiko and Primo. Additionally, and more practically, the complex has an optician (handy for visiting cruise passengers who need an emergency prescription) and several phone shops.
For those who love markets, the monthly zoco at Muelle Uno, which takes place on the second Sunday of every month, has nearly 100 stalls selling handmade crafts and jewellery, vintage and children's clothing, home decorations, organic foods and locally-produced olive oil and meats.

Fuengirola Spain Beautiful Town and Beach Summer 2022 July Update Costa del Sol | Málaga [4K]
Located close to Málaga city, Fuengirola is one of the Costa de Sol's most popular seaside resorts, with lots of great restaurants, extensive beaches and an enviable climate. Fuengirola is a firm favourite with families and couples.
Fuengirola has 7km of beautiful sandy beaches close to the town, offering excellent watersports facilities. You'll find a wide range of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes, as well as many boutiques, while the town's traditional centre is located at Plaza de la Constitucion.
Fuengirola’s tourist journey began all the way back in the 1960s, and today it is one of the most popular holiday destinations on the Costa del Sol. The town was originally a fishing village, the centre of which is the Plaza de la Constitución, although the old fishing village isn’t visible today. These days, it mixes several kilometres of sandy beaches with a dollop of history in the form of the historic Sohail Castle, which dates back to Moorish times and is undoubtedly an impressive landmark of the town.
Modern high-rise apartments and hotels are a remnant from the 1970s and 80s but the town has undergone extensive investment to ensure it still is an attractive, compelling holiday destination.
The gourmet market in Fuengirola, Mercado La Galería, opened in February, 2016, but became a favourite place for locals and visitors to meet straightaway. Right in the heart of the town, between the Plaza de la Constitución and the sea, Arquitectos Martín have created an attractive space with a barrel-vaulted glass roof that lets the light flood in. Inside the structure, there are a dozen or so outlets with different specialities, flanking a central area with high tables and stools. The swirling blue and white murals with a Spanish gastronomic theme lend a fun, contemporary vibe.
Fuengirola is a mecca for partygoers and clubbers of all ages. Not only does it boast some of the best disco pubs and clubs on the Costa del Sol, but everything is situated close to the centre of town which is ideal for bar hoppers. Attracting thousands of tourists during the summer season, Fuengirola caters to all tastes and requirements.

La Carihuela Torremolinos Latest Update Summer September 2021 Costa del Sol | Málaga, Spain [4K]
La Carihuela continues to be a benchmark for beaches around the world. A wonderful places with modern tourist facilities, but which also respects its seafaring origins. The streets of this neighborhood still maintain their fishing tradition, their humble origins and the belief that the spirit of Torremolinos is harboured there.
Until today, there are still some of the small houses and huts that marked the beginnings of La Carihuela neighborhood. Of all the beaches on the Costa, it has the greatest influx of visitors, and its characteristics and services making it one of the most admirable place for relaxing and enjoying a break, and also for offering the best fried fish. La Carihuela is indeed an authentic paradise for all the senses.
The beach of La Carihuela has 2.1 kilometers long and fully provided with every service imaginable reaches up to thr Benalmádena Leisure Port. It is accessible aling its entire length by way of the beautiful and pleasant seafront promenade, bordered by the most respected restaurants and beach bars in the region and by large hotels that are now completely renovated - helping to launch this area of Málaga into the international level.
