Bike 500 per day for 3 days = 1500, petrol 500, zipline=1200, paragliding =1500, food and miscellaneous =2000 so total was approximately 12,000 rupees for 3 days. Nainital, a beautiful hill station in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, always remained a place of attraction for the tourists. The word 'tal' means lake and this lake has been mesmerizing the tourists from a long time. The northern side of the lake is called 'Mallital' and the southern side is referred to as 'Tallital'. The lake is 1.5 km in length. The Mall Road stretches along the lake connecting Mallital and Tllital. Mallital is characterized by a large plain ground popularly known as The Flatts. On one side of the Flatts, is the Naina Devi Temple and a Gurudwara and on the other side, a Mosque. This flatland is considered as the meeting and marketing place. The Band Stand at Mallital was built during the time when the legendary Jim Corbet was a member of Nainital Nagar Palika.
This hill station built around the Naini Lake is considered to be the entry point to the Kumaon tour.
There are plenty of budget and luxury hotels near and around the Mall Road. Two complete days would be sufficient to cover the entire Nainital.

Ashok Hotel : This is a budget hotel in Nainital, it is located at a distance of about 400 meters from Naina lake.
Nainital has issues in parking, not many hotels have parking space, i was told by the manager of this hotel that they have some parking space available to accommodate about 15 to 20 vehicles.
Tariff: Rs 2200 for double occupancy, this is the off season tariff.

Jungle Lore Birding Resort - This is a good accommodation near Nainital. This place Pangot is located at a distance of about 15 km from Nainital.
Tariff: Rs 3000 for double occupancy , without food. Though their package involves room tariff plus breakfast and dinner. Since we had dinner at their place and breakfast as well , we ended up paying Rs 5000.

Nainital is a Himalayan resort town in the Kumaon region of India’s Uttarakhand state, at an elevation of roughly 2,000m. Formerly a British hill station, it’s set around Nainital Lake, a popular boating site with Naina Devi Hindu Temple on its north shore. A cable car runs to Snow View observation point (at 2,270m), with vistas over the town and mountains including Nanda Devi, Uttarakhand’s highest peak.
Nainital is a charming hill station located at the foothills of the Kumaon ranges in Uttarakhand. It was a day trip but we covered many places near by mall road and Naini Jheel.
Naini Jheel and Naina Devi Mandir is the main attraction in Nainital but also the other lakes waterfall and viewpoints you should visit.
