21 Secrets of San Juan

21 Secrets of San Juan, Puerto Rico which I filmed February 2020. Read more on my blog here:

I took this amazing Airbnb tour with Andy:

Puerto Rico’s capital city of San Juan attracts visitors to hotspots like the fort garitas and the old town’s Fortaleza “umbrella” street, but there are many more secret buildings and stories inside this walled city. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory that Americans do not need to show their passport to visit. The number of doors in each colorful façade tell the history of taxes; and, the world-famous “Puerto Rican rum” is not originally from Puerto Rico. Why are there so many shells and where is la casa estrecha and the garita del diabolo? If you like piña coladas and want to learn who really invented them, read on for 21 Secrets of San Juan Puerto Rico.

Which secret surprised you most? Comment below!

Exploring the Best of Puerto Rico Solo Style!

Join me on one of my most spontaneous solo travels of 2021 as I explore the breathtaking beauty of Puerto Rico. With no strict itinerary in mind, I relied on the kindness of strangers and fellow YouTubers to guide me on my journey. And what a journey it was!

My main focus for this trip was to immerse myself in nature, with a highlight being a trip to Vieques to see the luminescent bay – although things didn't go as planned, as I made a few organizational mistakes. Don't worry, I'll share all the details in the video so you can avoid making the same mistakes on your own adventures.

But even with a few hiccups along the way, my trip to Puerto Rico was nothing short of amazing. I discovered so many hidden gems and exciting things to do that I'm already planning my next visit.

So come along with me on this unforgettable journey as I show you the best of Puerto Rico – from the stunning beaches to the lush rainforest, and everything in between. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or just starting out, you're sure to find some useful tips and inspiration in this vlog.

Are you looking for a sun-kissed Caribbean paradise with hundreds of years of history, fantastic food, beautiful beaches, majestic mountains, marvelous music and non-stop fun, La Isla del Encanto is the place for you.

I have visited Puerto Rico many times and sailed out of old San Juan for an entire Caribbean season when I worked for Royal Caribbean International.

Puerto Rico has one of the highest vaccination rates in the Americas, uses the US dollar and is a direct domestic flight from many parts of the USA.

You can walk from the 500 year-old UNESCO forts of Castillo de San Cristóbal and Castillo de San Cristóbal in old San Juan to the newest entertainment hub which is Puerto Rico’s L.A. Live called Distrito T-Mobile. See you in Puerto Rico!
