Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls at the southern end of Niagara Gorge, spanning the border between the province of Ontario in Canada and the state of New York in the United States. The largest of the three is Horseshoe Falls, which straddles the international border of the two countries. It is also known as the Canadian Falls. The smaller American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls lie within the United States. Bridal Veil Falls is separated from Horseshoe Falls by Goat Island and from American Falls by Luna Island, with both islands situated in New York.
Formed by the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls have the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America that has a vertical drop of more than 50 m (160 ft). During peak daytime tourist hours, more than 168,000 m3 (5.9 million cu ft) of water goes over the crest of the falls every minute.
Niagara Falls is 27 km (17 mi) northwest of Buffalo, New York, and 69 km (43 mi) southeast of Toronto. Niagara Falls was formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age), and water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path over and through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean.

Niagara Helicopters - Niagara Falls, Canada Scenic Tourist Helicopter Ride Over The Falls *Full Ride
What better way to get over your fear of heights that taking a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls! I finally mustered up the courage to get on a helicopter, and I’m so glad I did! The ride was amazing! The views were incredible! It was also nice having the audio tour describe in detail what we were viewing! It was a smooth ride and even though it’s mostly glass windows, it didn’t feel at all scary, even for someone like me! We were seated in the back; there were five of us on board, including the pilot. The company we rode with is Niagara Helicopters; they have been in business for many decades, which I definitely liked! We were in the air for probably no more than 15 minutes, but I thought it was a perfect amount of time. The cost was reasonable: about $300 for 2 people, plus a tip for our pilot. Naturally, I had to celebrate my bravery by purchasing several items from the gift shop! Actually, I wish they had more items just related to the helicopter ride; the majority of the items were unrelated, such as Canadian-themed merchandise. It was a wonderful, amazing experience that I definitely recommend to anyone visiting Niagara Falls. And FYI, it was Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the US state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the border of the United States and Canada[1] while the American Falls lie entirely on the United States' side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the United States' side, separated from the American Falls by Luna Island.

Ontario has the world famous Niagara Falls. To appreciate the beauty of Niagara Falls, one must view it from many different vantage points. In this video, we take you on a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls city, so you can view the Falls from high up. The view was just stunning!
The helicopter tour, which took place on Sept 10, 2022, started from the helipad of Niagara Helicopters. We passed over the Niagara Golf Course. We then flew over the Niagara Whirlpool, then the Niagara Rapids and Rainbow Bridge. We made our way over the American Falls then over the crown of Niagara Falls, the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. We had an awesome view of the city of Niagara Falls, on the Canadian side and the city of Niagara Falls on the United States side. Hydroelectricity generating facilities were clearly visible as well as the several reservoirs which we never knew existed.
