Welcome to our 2 day African Safari Tour! We flew into the Maasai Mara National Preserve in Kenya yesterday. and after spending the night at the Neptune Mara Rianta Camp, we are headed our on our Masai Mara Safari.
Maasai Mara is one of the best places to see lions in Africa, as they have over 800 in the park.We saw tons of lions on safari and we lucked out on our first day and saw a Cheetah. The safari continued with amazing animal encounters over our two days in the park.
An African Safari in Maasai Mara is a must do if you come to Kenya!

A leopard attacking a provocative photographer in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. This photographer, who either chose to ignore the park rules or just was not briefed correctly, risked his life as a leopard tried to grab his foot.
As you can clearly tell, this vicious leopard was not very impressed and would have harmed the photographer. Even through leopard attacking people is rare, this is not to mean that you should play around with an leopard while on a safari. In fact, the best thing a guide should do when any wildlife gets so close to a tourist vehicle is to move away.
The management of Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya has already banned the camp and the guides who allowed this photographer to get involved in the would-be unfortunate encounter with a leopard.

3. Duba Explorers Camp - Duba Explorers Camp is a charming camp situated within the quintessentially scenic Okavango landscapes of the private Kwedi Reserve. Surrounded by the undisturbed wilds of a 33,000 hectare private concession this camp is perfect for wildlife connoisseurs who enjoy the elegant but unobtrusive style of the original 1920’s safari. Superb game viewing with morning, afternoon and evening drives, as well as boating when water levels permit, this great little camp offers a classic Okavango experience
4. Xugana island Lodge - Xugana Lagoon is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta, overlooking a permanent deep water lagoon. Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a rich private concession and takes full advantage of this magnificent site offering a classic water safari experience. This is a charming little Okavango camp, with plenty of character with a traditional, slightly rustic, but very comfortable style.
5. Mombo Camp - Mombo is a flagship Botswana camp, one of the finest in Africa, offering superb game viewing and an extremely luxurious safari. With a prime location on Chief’s Island and some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the Okavango, Mombo is top of the wish list for many. Rebuilt in 2018, Mombo reopened as an even more luxurious camp though maintaining the essence of the original Mombo which so many have come to love.

Our first Safari Camp experience was nothing short of extraordinary, we were welcomed with champagne in crystal flutes with elephant motifs and friendly smiles. The staff at Bateleur AndBeyond Safari Camp had set up a welcome table with white roses at the dusty airstrip where our small bush plane landed. While we chatted with our guide, our bags were loaded and we were on our way to the luxury tents on our very first Safari in Kenya. The warmth of the staff and the incredible safari experience during our stay at AndBeyond Bateleur Safari Camp blew us away!
