USA ➡️ Serbia DURING COVID-19: FULL ITINERARY TO THE BEST HIPSTER CITY IN EUROPE

I FINALLY MADE IT TO BELGRADE, SERBIA! This is the first vlog from my 10-day trip in Serbia and Turkey during COVID-19 (Oct 2020). Belgrade has always been one of my most anticipated destinations. I've heard many lovely things about it from one of my favorite fashion YouTubers (Tamara Kalinic), and after reading stories about it, I became obsessed with learning more about the history of this beautiful city and its ups and downs.

For those who don't know, Serbia has always been in the midst of wars and invasions all throughout history, with the most recent one being the NATO campaigns in the 1990s. Belgrade alone has been destructed and rebuilt 44 TIMES. I typically don't take tours when I travel and instead I just freestyle my itinerary, but I went against that and took a couple while I was in Belgrade because I knew I couldn't leave without diving deep into the culture and the history that has created (in my opinion) some of the most RESILIENT people in Europe today. If you walk around the city, the buildings seem like a mash up of different eras. On one street alone, you can see one building that was built in the Neoclassical era, next to it a building from the Socialist era, and another built in the modern era. This is because of how many times the city has been rebuilt during different eras. I love and admire the edginess and the grunginess of Belgrade. There's a certain melancholic air when I walk throughout the city, but in the BEST way, because I know that Serbians have been through rock bottom and now they are proud of it. HECK if I were still here after being defeated 44 times, I WOULD BE TOO. If you don't know much about Serbia, just travel here first, then learn about it. Don't hesitate, because you will fall in love.

REGARDING COVID: Serbia and Turkey are both countries that Americans can travel to right now with no restrictions. You do not need to quarantine or bring negative test results. You may be subject to a health screening when you arrive, but when we arrived, no one asked us a single question and we were in within a couple minutes. In Serbia, about 80% of people did not wear masks when outdoors. On buses and indoor spaces such as museums, almost everyone did. My best advice is just to take your own protocols, wear your mask all the time if that's what makes you comfortable (I did this), and avoid crowded places. The positive thing is that Belgrade has such a low number of cases compared to cities in the US (like.. not even comparable), so your chances of getting COVID are pretty slim as long as you are cautious. Just be warned that no one wears masks when out on the streets!

???? Where we stayed:
1) Airbnb - (roughly $30 USD/night)
2) Hotel (on our last day) - ($80 USD/night)

???? Transportation:
We mainly toured by foot, as all the main points and destinations were within a 10-15 min walk from each other. We took the public bus several times, such as when we visited the St. Sava Temple and also when we commuted to the airport. **TIP: To get a bus pass, go to one of the many red kiosks around the city. Ask them for a bus plus. We got the 24-hour option one and it was perfect (around $2.50-$3 USD).

☀️ Weather: Mid-60s F during the day, but cold in the evening. On our last day in Belgrade, it was pretty cold, around 40 degrees F!

????Tours we took:
1) The Alternative Tour of Belgrade -

2) Free Downtown Walking Tour -

Zlatibor to Uzice - HITCHHIKING vs CoronaVirus | SERBIA EP 23

One of the best & healthy vegetarian dishes I had in Serbia was Kačamak sa kajmakom. The best place to have vegetarian food in Zlatibor is shown in this video. Surprisingly the food is not expensive. After having breakfast in Zlatibor I started hitchhiking. This was my first attempt at hitchhiking in Serbia. After this experience, I can say hitchhiking during covid is not that easy. However, there are still some people like Jamil who offered me a free ride from Zlatibor to Uzice.

This video is a part of travel web series based on my trip to Serbia. I travelled from Delhi to Belgrade via Dubai availing the visa-free entry for Indians in Serbia for 30 days. Watch all the videos in sequence here #Zlatibor #SerbianEconomy #SerbiaTravel

INDIA TO EUROPE (SERBIA) - MY FIRST INTERNATIONAL TRIP AFTER COVID - DUBAI NOT TRANSIT FREE ANYMORE

Subscribe and hit the bell to see new videos:

Hello friends,

Today i am going to start my first international trip after Covid pandemic, i have not been able to visit any other country in last 14 months, and today i will go to Europe. I will try to visit Serbia, european country, although Serbia is not included in Schengen list.

Serbia gives free visa on arrival to Indians, and they can stay upto for 30 days. In this difficult time of corona, its extremely difficult to le ave India and to reach another country. And i have faced many challenges too in planning this trip.

First Serbia asks for negative covid report, that is RT PCR test should be negative and should be taken within 48 hours of arrival. And by the way, your 48 hours starts at the time of sample collection.

Second, there is no direct flight to Serbia, and you have to go through Dubai. Since Dubai is connected with entire world.

But the last thing is that Dubai is not transit free now, that is Indians cannot travel beyond Dubai. Previously indians used to travel beyond Dubai and take Dubai as transit free section, but not now.

And also got my covid test done from ICMR lab in Delhi and result is negative.

So looking at all challenges, i have to prepare my trip so that i can make it. This video is all about preparation and will tell you how i prepared for this trip.

I will be flying from Delhi airport to Dubai and from dubai i am taking transit to Serbia. My Dubai to Serbia flight will be through Pegasus that will go via Turkey.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. ????????????

In today's video I'll be sharing how COVID-19 is impacting whether or not I will travel to Vietnam. I'll cover what concerns I have with travel to South East Asia and specific precautions I am taking to minimize risk. There is a lot of misinformation spreading with this novel coronavirus originating in Wuhan, China. The information shared in this video is my own opinion based on the most up to date public information from the CDC and WHO on Feb 10 2024.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Beware of THIS in New Zealand!

Did you expect this in New Zealand? When you come to New Zealand, you'll be shocked to see gangs. Gangs in New Zealand are so unafraid of the Police that they ride obnoxiously loud motorcycles so you can hear them a mile away.

They even wear a uniform which includes a gang patch, so you know which gang they're from.

This is how open and obvious organised crime is in New Zealand. And for visitors like my wife, it's shocking.

If you stay away from them, they won't bug ya. But the reality is gangs are known for the drug trade, murder, theft, violence against women, and the list goes on.

There are numerous gangs in New Zealand, of varying criminality, organisation and ethnicity, including outlaw motorcycle gangs, street gangs and ethnically based gangs. A chapter of the Hells Angels motorcycle club was formed in Auckland in 1961, the first Hells Angels chapter outside the US.

Soon after, the Mongrel Mob formed in Hastings and Wellington, developing into a predominantly Māori and Pacific Islander gang and having the largest membership in the country.

Through the 1960s and 1970s, other outlaw motorcycle clubs and ethnically based gangs formed, including another predominantly Māori gang, Black Power (not related to the African-American movement), which grew to rival the Mongrel Mob. from Wikipedia.

1st Trip After Covid | Covid-19 Travel Rules | Countries To Visit After Vaccine

#covid19travelrules #flyingpostcovid #rulesforflyingduringcovid

I waited to announce this for an Entire year! My 1st trip After Covid! Well technically, Covid-19 is very much here, however, we've all learnt to live with it in our own way. March 2020, was my last trip and just when all hell broke loose, I came back to Dubai. Back then, we all believed that everything will go back to normal in a few months. Little did we know, that it would take a year to get back on the flight again. Not to mention, flying post covid, was just a surreal experience. There are so many new travel rules post covid-19 for flying. There are several documents that are required and every country has a different rule. It's complicated to keep tabs on it. So for my 1st trip after covid, I decided to hire a Travel agency that I could trust and that'd know the updated covid-19 travel rules. With rules changing on a daily basis, its best to leave these nitty gritties to the experts and just focus on enjoying the trip.

Although, there were many surprises along the way such as curfews in the city, restaurants being closed etc. For the first time, the information on google couldn't be trusted anymore. Having said all of that, we still had a blast. An amazing and memorable trip I could ever imagine.

The weather in Tbilisi was splendid, however, this isnt the best time to visit Tbilisi. The best time to Visit Tbilisi would be May, June & September. The streets of Tbilisi were awfully quiet at this time.

Here are the New Rules for Flying During Covid-19 -
1 - Negative PCR test within 72 hours of flying
2 - Travel insurance covering Covid-19 is compulsory
3 - If you're not vaccinated for Covid-19, you need to get an additional PCR test done on the 3rd day of your trip in Georgia
4 - Before flying from your country of Origin, you need to register on the following link -

5 - Accommodation Bookings
6 - Return Flight Tickets

Make sure you have all of the above printed before you board. In case, you test positive during your stay, you need to be prepared to bear the cost of your quarantine of 14 days.

This was an introduction video of Georgia, laying down all the rules and requirements for flying during covid-19. The next 3 weeks is going to be fun-filled videos of Georgia. So Stay Tuned!

Belgrade - a Regular Day, Market, People, my Hostel [SERBIA EP 8]

My second hostel in Belgrade was Habitat hostel. However, due to some reasons, I won’t recommend that place. I have shared the reasons in this video. I bought grocery and other things to cook from Idea London Super Market with my Argentinian friend and hostel mate. However, due to COVID, the situation was a bit different. Watch this video to know more.

This video is a part of travel web series based on my trip to Serbia. I travelled from Delhi to Belgrade via Dubai availing the visa-free entry for Indians in Serbia for 30 days. Watch all the videos in sequence here #IndianinSerbia #SerbiaTravel #MountainTrekker
