My first adventure with the BMW GS F800
Three motorbikes and four cars head out to the desert for some exploring. We got to see some camels, and enjoy some desert riding. This was my first time I had even taken a motorbike off of tarmac. Needless to say it really shows! I was very lucky to have friends help me get out of tricky situations :).
1250gs hard off-road. first time taking the gs where I shouldn't!
I've owned he GS1250 for 4 months and logged 4000 miles of casual riding. I'm getting more used to the beast and wanted to test it out on some more difficult terrain. I have also been trying to set up this local route for big ADV bikes to see these rutted, tore up jeep trails in vinton county by mostly going down these harder sections. This is just a little bit of how that day went.

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I was raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family so he can lead a normal life as best as possible, so please donate generously:

August 26th - August 30th, 2022: the beginning of my most epic adventure so far! Motorcycle Paradise in Andalusia
I was invited from Toro Adventure / Toro Trail to ride with them and share my experience in the channel. I went there without any expectation and I did not even check them online. I wanted to have my own opinion based on my personal experience. The owner of the company Lyndon met me at the Airport and we drove straight to the wonderful property they have. On the next two days I rode the new BMW GS r 1250 HP and on the third day I had a proper dirt bike Husqvarna FE 350. With few words I can say only positive things about the company. If you go to ride there and don't like it I will refund everything you paid, honestly! That convinced I am.
Feel free to contact them anytime. I do not earn any money if you book a tour, but I am absolutely sure that you will miss a lot if you don't!

The Great Australian Road Trip | An Epic Solo Motorcycle Journey | BMW R1200 GS
The Big Lap.
I set myself a goal to reach the ‘extreme’ of Australia which meant even travelling along some of our remotest and toughest tracks and roads in the world.
An epic lone voyage across all states of Australia.From Adelaide - Alice Springs - Mt Isa - Cairns - Coffs Harbour and Back to Adelaide. The 13000km journey took 65 days to complete and the BWM R1200GS 2013 was a perfect choice for this job.
Riding across thousands of kilometres in all different climate conditions from harsh desert tracks to tropical rainforests was tough. 1200km of my journey consisted of riding in the Central Aboriginal Reserve. Which really made me take in the beauty that Australia has to offer.

Motoventures Adventure Riding Training on my BMW R1200GS Adventure
This video is a summary of my 2 days with Motoventures in Anza, Southern California.
I participated with my bike in their Adventure Motorcycle Training.
I hope this video gives you an idea of the lessons you'll be given.
The first day was on my own bike and the second day, on one of their 2500ccm Yamaha motorcycles.
Hopefully it inspires you to take your bike off-road as well.
All in all it was great fun and gave me great pointers to feel more comfortable on my heavy motorcycle. Enjoy!

Sand dune training in the Erg Chebbi, Morocco. Ride on sand is technical and very sportive. I love the feeling of floating on the sand with my GS. Maybe is not the perfect bike to do that but it's funny. I hope to improve my ride on dunes soon! :)

Morocco is a beautiful country, full of incredibly friendly and hospitable people, stunning scenery and absolutely fantastic biking roads. You even get the chance to sample some off-road riding, as well as a trip out into the Sahara Desert by camel to stay with Bedouins.

BMW 1250GS Adventure FIRST STACK! Riding Cotter Dam, Canberra ACT with two new adventure riders
Just getting out after having the bike collect a bit of dust for the last two months. The Suzuki DR650 is still holding up strong. I have yet to replace my 'unbreakable' broken double take mirror after the last ride…but otherwise, the bike is running like a champ.
This is the first ride with my mate Paul on his new BMW 1250 GS Adventure. Paul is a new rider, like me, and just building up his offroad skills. The GS is his first adventure bike but he's getting stuck into it.
The basic ride was up passed Cotter Damn. We cruised through the pine forest and made our way in and out of the local fire trails. And Paul stacked his GS Adventure for the very first time…it's always good to get the first one out of the way without any bruises or bumps.
There's a ton of great riding just outside of Canberra…more time come.
Get HARD, Stay HARD.

My first day riding an overloaded adventure bike on sand
In July of 2009, a friend and I set out from San Francisco to ride motorcycles to Colorado and back on as much dirt as possible. Along the way, we planned to use as much of the TransAmerica and Pony Express Trails as possible. While we had a great trip, some mechanical issues changed our plans a little. In this video compiled from the first day of the trip and my first day ever on sand (PLEASE NO SAND RIDING TIPS, I FIGURED IT OUT...), you can see that mechnical issues weren't the only problem.
