The biggest highlight was visiting this old museum, which turned out to be an tour from this ex-communist leader to Stalin’s old secret underground printing press for propaganda! He didn’t speak much English, but he showed us a ton of crazy stuff and took us to the secret spot! The rest of the blog includes us re-introducing our great friend Charlie, visitING a huge local market, and hiking to the top of a mountain to watch the sunset from an old fortress :)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

This video is based on my journey from Borjomi to Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia. Fare from Borjomi to Tbilisi in a minibus is 7 Lari. After reaching Tbilisi central station I took the Metro from Tbilisi square metro station. This main railway station of Tbilisi is located adjacent to the metro station. I have shared information on Tbilisi metro fare, timings and how to travel in Tbilisi Metro or Subway. In this video, you will also see Liberty square metro station, Liberty square mall, vegetarian Georgian Dishes, cost of vegetarian food in Tbilisi, etc.

My First Day in Tbilisi Georgia
In this video we arrive into Tbilisi for the first time. This is our first day in Tbilisi, Georgia!
We arrived into the airport from Moscow, Russia into Tbilisi International Airport in the morning and very tired! However as soon as we landed the electric buzz was amazing and we couldn't wait to explore!
Our first step was to jump into a taxi - we used the common app BOLT where we noticed that there was an option for a TESLA ! This was my first tesla experience - which was CRAZY!
After that we checked into the hotel and went for a little stroll down the main street in Tbilisi, this was where all the government buildings are, the opera houses and the beautiful tree lined streets.
Once we had lunch we decided to go and legalise our wedding at the register office (which was our main reason for being here) we then took a stroll to find some lunch and on the way bumped into a little music festival in the park!
We had an awesome day here in Tbilisi, hopefully you can feel that through this video!

Tbilisi was founded in the 5th century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Between 1801 and 1917, then part of the Russian Empire, Tiflis was the seat of the Caucasus Viceroyalty, governing both the northern and the southern parts of the Caucasus.

Welcome to our channel and we offer a series of videos that will help you plan your trip within Georgia safely and comfortably. I will explain in detail 1. How to move within Georgia to different tourist destinations.

So, you came to Georgia...
Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli Airport is located 17 kilometers from the city center. To get from the airport to the center, you can take a bus or a taxi.
To start getting acquainted with Tbilisi, we suggest you take a walk on the main street of the city - this is Rustaveli Avenue. Its length is about 1.5 kilometers. It starts from the main square of the city - (Freedom Square) and ends at the Rose Revolution Square.

Then, you must visit the old parts of the city, where the history of the city began in the 5th century. Abanotubani, Leghvtakhevi, Narikala Fortress, Kote Abkhaz Street. Take a walk and enjoy the old streets of Tbilisi, many historical monuments and taste the local cuisine.
We especially recommend going up to Narikala Castle by cable car in the evening and enjoying the unique view of Tbilisi.
Another place where we think you will like it is the Mtatsminda Park, which is located on the mountain of the same name and overlooks Tbilisi from a height. Here is also one of the symbols of Tbilisi - Tbilisi TV tower. In Mtatsminda Park you will find a lot of entertainment, there are several options of restaurants and, of course, a view of Tbilisi. You will be able to get to Mtatsminda Park either by car or by funicular which can be taken up the mountain from Chonkadze street.
If you decide to take the funicular, on the way back you can visit the monastery of Father David, whose founder, David, one of the 13 Assyrian fathers, dates back to the 6th century.
I think it is enough for one day. If you are a night life lover, there are several good clubs in Tbilisi for different tastes.
