My Journey to Islam in 2020! How I Became Muslim! British Revert Story Part 1!
In mid 2020 I became a Muslim alhamdulillah. This is my revert story video where I talk about what made me interested in Islam at the start of the year, what people and places influenced me. I explain how I learnt about Islam during the time of Covid, doing Ramadan on my own and how I worked out the right time to do my Shahada in my home Country at London Central Mosque (my full Shahada video is the next video!).
I intend to make regular videos about my experience as a revert Muslim inshallah. I will be posting about what I'm learning so I can use this community to help keep me learning and to help keep you learning too!

Eid Mubarak from Mexico. I celebrate EID with Mexicans Muslims. There is a small community of Muslims in San Cristobal de las Casas Chiapas Mexico. Islam arrived 29 years ago. They celebrated with tacos and tamales. The meat was halal. I visited the mosque and we prayed. It was beautiful to see the Muslim and Christian come together and celebrate and be happy for one another. There is a longer version of this video available. I get stopped my Mexican Military.

Yahya has visited Mecca and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for Hajj. there are 4 Masjids/Mosque/Mezquita in San Cristobal. The son of Yayha is named Muhammad. Islam is growing in Latin America. There are many Muslim Latinos in Mexico and the latin countries. Many have converted from Christianity and now are revert Muslims. Some were Catholic before. Al Kausar is the name of the mosque

Louisville: Muhammad Ali Center
The Muhammad Ali Center is in Louisville, Kentucky, dedicated to boxer Muhammad Ali (January 17, 1942 – June 3, 2016), a native of Louisville.
The six-story, 96,750 sq ft (8,988 m2). museum opened on November 19, 2005.
The cultural center features exhibitions regarding Ali's six core principles of confidence, conviction, dedication, giving, respect, and spirituality.
An orientation theater helps present Ali's life. A mock boxing ring is recreated based on his Deer Lake Training Camp. A two-level pavilion, housed within a large elliptical room, features Ali's boxing memorabilia and history. A large projector displays the film The Greatest onto a full-sized boxing ring.
Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.. He was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and began training as an amateur boxer when he was 12 years old. At age 18, he won a gold medal in the light heavyweight division at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome and turned professional later that year. At age 22 in 1964, he won the WBA, WBC, and lineal heavyweight titles from Sonny Liston in a major upset.
He announced his conversion to Islam and changed his name from Cassius Clay, which he called his slave name, to Muhammad Ali.
In 1966, two years after winning the heavyweight title, Ali further antagonized the white establishment by refusing to be drafted into the U.S. military, citing his religious beliefs and opposition to American involvement in the Vietnam War. He was eventually arrested, found guilty of draft evasion charges, and stripped of his boxing titles. He successfully appealed the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court, which overturned his conviction in 1971, by which time he had not fought for nearly four years.
Ali was one of the leading heavyweight boxers of the 20th century, and remains the only three-time lineal heavyweight champion. He was regarded as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time . He was also ranked as the greatest athlete of the 20th century.
As a Muslim, Ali was initially affiliated with Elijah Muhammad's Nation of Islam (NOI) and advocated their black separatist ideology. He later disavowed the NOI, adhering to Sunni Islam, practicing Sufism, and supporting racial integration, like his former mentor Malcolm X.
After retiring from boxing at age 39 in 1981, Ali focused on religion and charity. His efforts in philanthropy and humanitarianism include campaigning for various causes, donating millions to charity organizations and disadvantaged people, and helping to feed more than 22 million people afflicted by hunger.
In 1984 Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's syndrome, which his doctors attributed to boxing-related brain injuries. As his condition worsened, Ali limited his public appearances. He had the honor of lighting the torch at the 1996 Olympics, watched by an estimated 3.5 billion viewers. He was cared for by his family until his death on June 3, 2016, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Stuart Cosgrove: The Soul Of Muhammad Ali
Following on from his acclaimed trilogy about the American soul music scene in the 1960s, much-loved Scottish broadcaster and writer Stuart Cosgrove returns to the American post-war era with his highly topical new book. In Cassius X: Six Months That Shaped The Sixties, Cosgrove charts the journey of a young Kentucky boxer named Cassius Clay. Alongside his rise as a fighter, Clay begins to embrace the ideas of the Black Power movement and the teachings of Malcolm X. Thus, Clay changes his name to Cassius X, before eventually changing it again to his Islamic name: Muhammad Ali.
As well as documenting the meteoric rise of one of the all-time sporting greats, Cosgrove shows how soul music formed a soundtrack to an era of social and political turmoil. He talks to Scottish author Val McDermid about this landmark moment for American culture, and its parallels with the USA today. Part of the 2020 Edinburgh International Book Festival Online.
