A Leopard attacking a provocative photographer in the Maasai Mara National Reserve
A leopard attacking a provocative photographer in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. This photographer, who either chose to ignore the park rules or just was not briefed correctly, risked his life as a leopard tried to grab his foot.
As you can clearly tell, this vicious leopard was not very impressed and would have harmed the photographer. Even through leopard attacking people is rare, this is not to mean that you should play around with an leopard while on a safari. In fact, the best thing a guide should do when any wildlife gets so close to a tourist vehicle is to move away.
The management of Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya has already banned the camp and the guides who allowed this photographer to get involved in the would-be unfortunate encounter with a leopard.

DHANKAR LAKE TREK IN SPITI VALLEY ║ DHANKAR MONASTERY ║ SPITI VALLEY Ep 07 with ENGLISH Subtitles
In this video, I will show you how I trekked to Dhankar Lake, a hidden gem of Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India. Dhankar Lake is a high-altitude lake located about 2 kilometers from Dhankar Village, which is famous for its ancient and beautiful monastery. The lake is at an altitude of 4,140 meters and during the winter season, it freezes over completely. It is a glacial lake and is fed by the water streams caused by melting snow. The lake has a turquoise blue color and is surrounded by dry and barren mountains. There is a small Gompa right next to it with prayer flags tied to wooden poles.
The trek to Dhankar Lake is not very difficult but it requires some stamina and endurance. The trail starts from the new Dhankar monastery and goes along a barren, muddy, and dusty path across the mountain range. The trail is not well marked and sometimes disappears among the loose pebbles and rocks. The trek takes about an hour and a half to reach the lake from the monastery.

Kye Gompa is said to have been founded by Dromtön (Brom-ston, 1008-1064 CE), a pupil of the famous teacher, Atisha, in the 11th century. This may, however, refer to a now destroyed Kadampa monastery at the nearby village of Rangrik, which was probably destroyed in the 14th century when the Sakya sect rose to power with Mongol assistance.
Kye was attacked again by the Mongols during the 17th century, during the reign of the Fifth Dalai Lama, and became a Gelugpa establishment. In 1830, it was sacked again during the wars between Ladakh and Kulu. In 1841, it was severely damaged by the Dogra army under Ghulam Khan and Rahim Khan. Later that same year, it suffered more damage from a Sikhs. In the 1840s, it was ravaged by fire and, in 1975, a violent earthquake caused further damage which was repaired with the help of the Archaeological Survey of India and the State Public Works Department.
The walls of the monastery are covered with paintings and murals, an example of the 14th century monastic architecture, which developed as the result of Chinese influence.
Kye monastery has a collection of ancient murals and books, including Buddha images.
There are three floors, the first one is mainly underground and used for storage. One room, called the Tangyur is richly painted with murals. The ground floor has the beautifully decorated Assembly Hall and cells for many monks.
Kye Gompa now belongs to the Gelugpa sect, along with Tabo Monastery and Dhankar Gompa, one of three in Spiti.
