Mostar Bosnia - Home of the Famous Stari Most Bridge | 98+ Countries with 3 Kids!

Join us as we visit Mostar - the largest and most enchanting city in Hercegovina with deep Ottoman roots.

Lying on the Neretva River, Mostar is one of the most popular destinations in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The town is named after the famous Old Bridge - Stari Most. This masterpiece of Ottoman engineering was designed by the renowned architect Sinan and built over 400 years ago out of stone with a single arch of 90 feet (27 meters) wide. Standing tall at 69 feet (21 meters) high over the Neretva River, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Unfortunately, the bridge we see today is a reconstruction of the original one, which was destroyed by artillery fire in 1993 during the Croat-Bosniak conflict. On our trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia, we decided to stop by the Mostar and visit the famous bridge. The view from the top was outstanding and people were even jumping from the bridge into the water!

After a quick lunch, we took some pictures and then continued on our journey to reach Dubrovnik and the island of Sipan before dark.

Enjoy the video!!!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS of MOSTAR | Why you NEED to visit BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA ????????

Hey, everyone! Welcome to our first #Bosnia #travelvlog!

After leaving Croatia, we drove to Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. Mostar completely took us by surprise! It is a beautiful UNESCO town full of cobblestoned streets, old architecture, and home to the most picturesque bridge we have ever seen, Stari Most.

In this video we show you everything we were able to eat, see, and do with 48 hours in Mostar! On our first day we take a walking tour through the city, watch the locals dive off of the famous bridge, and enjoy a traditional Bosnian meal. The next day we visit the stunning Kravice waterfalls, a Dervish monastery, and hike up to an old abandoned fortress.

If you are planning a trip to the Balkans, be sure not miss out on Mostar!

If you enjoyed this video please leave us a like, comment, and SUBSCRIBE! Thank you :)

You NEED to Visit MOSTAR. Here's Why | Bosnia & Herzegovina | Ryan Pelle

Let me show you why Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina is more than just a day-trip destination. I stayed for 2 days in Mostar and it was so worth it.

Mostar is a historic city on the southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It's most famous for its incredibly beautiful bridge. But Mostar is more than just its bridge. It's countryside is also unbelievably beautiful.

During the Bosnian War in the 90's, Mostar is the hardest hit and most bombarded city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The war has left indelible marks on the city and its inhabitants. You can still see them when you walk around the city today.

Today, Mostar is a buzzling city full of cafes and restaurants. It's doing its hardest to heal from the effects of Bosnian war.

Here are the places I've visited during my 2-day stay in Mostar:

Sarajevo Bosnia ???????? Top Things To See & Do in the Jerusalem of Europe | 197 Countries, 3 Kids

Join us as we visit Sarajevo - the capital and cultural center of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a rich history and beautiful landscapes.

Lying along the Miljacka River and surrounded by the Dinaric Alps, Sarajevo is known as the “Jerusalem of Europe” for its religious diversity. This scenic city has a long and rich history of religious and cultural diversity with Muslims, Orthodox Christians, Catholics and Jews coexisting peacefully for centuries.

We really enjoyed exploring the Old Town (Baščaršija) with its cobbled streets, mosques, iconic fountain, and Oriental style shops. It will take you back to the Ottoman times in the 15th century and you could easily mistake it for Istanbul! The legends said that if you drink water from their fountain, you will come back again to Sarajevo! So, we drank the water and hope to return one day soon :-)

For Lunch, we enjoyed a meal at the restaurant called Brasserie August Braun. It was named after the Austrian emperor August Braun who visited here in 1800 and built a palace for his wife Maria. The neighbourhood is still called Marijin Dvor.

Sarajevo is a beautiful city with lots of indoor and outdoor activities. Featuring a friendly and multicultural atmosphere, Sarajevo also played an important part in world history.

We visited an iconic Latin Bridge where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, triggering the first World War. The city also has multiple museums dedicated to the war and history of the nation.

Outside the city, Sarajevo has many outdoor attractions, including the Trebević mountain, hiking trails along the surrounding hills with spectacular view of the city, footpaths through the peaceful Vrelo Bosne park, multiple ski resorts, and more!

Dubrovnik Islands Getaway - Sipan Croatia and the Enchanting Villa Ella | 98 Countries with 3 Kids

Join us as we visit the island of Šipan near Dubrovnik, Croatia!

Šipan is one of the largest Croatian islands in the Elafiti (Elaphiti) archipelago group. It is also known as 'Dubrovnik's islands' and situated just off the coast of Dubrovnik. The main port of the island is Sudurad which is connected by road to Sipanska luka, a larger town about 5km away. In between there is a verdant valley composed of olive and fig trees, vineyards, pomegranates and citrus groves. Sipan is also famous for its wine and is very picturesque with a cool atmosphere.

Our first stop in Dubrovnik was Šipan. It’s only an hour by ferry and was a perfect place for rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We stayed at the beautiful Villa Ella, a fully stocked home with an amazing view of the Adriatic Sea. Surrounded by luscious gardens we spent our days hanging by the pool, catching up on school and enjoying meals on the terrace with epic sunsets. Just minutes away in the village of Šipanska luka we were able to find all the groceries and supplies we needed without having to leave the island. Simply amazing! We can't wait to return again one day.

Enjoy the video and let us know if you have been to Croatia as well.

24 Hours In London? City Landmarks Walking Tour If You Only Have 1 Day | 98+ Countries with 3 Kids!

Join us as we visit London England - the capital & heart of the United Kingdom. From medieval castles, music venues and live theatre shows to countless museums and amazing restaurants it would takes years to discover all the treasures this city has to offer.

Founded by the Romans and developed over the centuries, London is one of the most diverse cities in the world, with a rich history and some of the most outstanding culture on the planet.

We arrived downtown London from our Scotland tour and stayed the night at a friend’s house. The next morning we started our tour of London with a visit to London Bridge. Next we stopped at Borough Market in Southwark - one of the largest and oldest food markets in the city dating back to the 12th century to get a taste of the delicious street food there.

We passed by Globe Theatre where William Shakespeare wrote his plays over 400 years ago. We also got to Westminster Abbey - where Princess Dianna got married! Our next stop was at Buckingham Palace to see a little piece of the royal lifestyle. The day ended with some much needed Mexican food.

Our time in London was short, but it was definitely sweet. We almost missed our flight back to Switzerland and then we had to pull an all-nighter at the airport after landing since it was too late to pick up our rental car. The next day, we hit the road first thing in the morning to drive back home!

Enjoy the video and let us know where you're watching from!!!

KOTOR Montenegro ???????? is BREATHTAKING! Top Things To See & Do | 197 Countries, 3 Kids

Join us as we visit Kotor - a coastal town in Montenegro nestled in the deepest natural fjord of the Mediterranean Sea!

Kotor is home to a picturesque untouched Old Town with fortified walls. Squeezed between the sea and the mountain, it is one of a very few Medieval towns untouched by wars. Kotor is also home to the Stari Grad - one of the best-preserved medieval towns on the Mediterranean, making it a UNESCO Heritage Site.

The spectacular Old Town is a dream come true for history buffs with its old houses, narrow streets, small squares and yards, Catholic and Orthodox churches dating back to the 9th Centuries, lapidarium, town hall clock, and more!

In Kotor, we noticed an interesting thing: there are many cats sitting in front of the shops and basically roaming around everywhere. For this reason, it is known as the City of The Cats. They even have a museum of cats!

Kotor’s city walls, which stretch for 3 miles (4.5 km) directly above the city, are also a major attraction for tourists. For an awe-inspiring view of The Old Town and The Boka Bay, you can climb along the city walls up to the castle on the top! The streets here are almost the same as the streets of Dubrovnik.

During our stay, we visited a village called Sutomore, with a beautiful beach area, and discovered Bar, a Venetian fortified town built in the 16th century. The stonework and buildings were absolutely beautiful.

We also drove up to a city on the mountain called Cetinje. Here we saw a statue of lord Ivan who was the ruler of Montenegro back in 1400 when this was the capital of the country.

Overall we had an amazing time in Montenegro. It is definitely a place we look forward to visiting again!

Why Visit Dubrovnik Croatia? Discover the Pearl of the Adriatic Sea | 98+ Countries with 3 Kids

Join us as we visit Dubrovnik Croatia - a medieval walled city on the Adriatic Sea.

Known as the Pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is home to a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the most prominent tourist resorts of the Mediterranean. This beautiful city offers stunning architecture and boasts spectacular churches, monasteries, museums and fountains.

Dubrovnik is famous for its magnificent 13th-century city walls and the Old Town. Strolling along the limestone-paved Stradun is a truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The city was the rival of Venice at one time.

It is also the place where scenes from Star Wars VIII was filmed and houses the famous Lovrijenac Fortress, which is the setting for Kings Landing in the popular Game Of Thrones TV series! This medieval town is so beautiful and scenic that movies and TV shows often select it as their shooting location.

Dubrovnik offers cable car rides for an awe-inspiring aerial view over the city and the Adriatic Coast. We took a ride to the top and enjoyed the most amazing views!

We also visited the Red History Museum which highlights life during the communist era. They have a free app you can download to scan exhibits and learn more about them.

During our visit we stayed at the beautiful Villa Ella on the nearby island of Šipan. It is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We had an amazing time in Dubrovnik and can't wait to discover more of this beautiful country.

DUBROVNIK, CROATIA (2023) | 10 BEST Things To Do In & Around Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is located in the south of Croatia and is relatively isolated from the rest of the country due to a small nook of Bosnia & Herzegovina that intersects the land connection. For centuries, Dubrovnik was an independent republic thriving through extensive trade with other maritime ports. However, the city also suffered attacks, of which the early 90’s war was the most devastating one. Today, Dubrovnik is considered the most picturesque city on the Dalmatian coast thanks to its stunning architecture, beautiful scenery, and ancient walls that once protected the republic.

In this video, we highlight 10 of the best things to do in and around Dubrovnik:

This is the sixth vlog of our Europe bicycle tour in summer 2019. In this episode we cycle accross the beautiful Herzegovina part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and love it from the first minute. We arrive in Trebinje and decide to extend our stay there for two nights. Then we continue cycling towards Stolac where we find a little black kitten on the side of a very busy road. We take it and are extremely luckt to find a new owner on the same day. We cycle to Mostar and are lucky to be there for the Red Bull Cliff Diving event. Throughout our stay in Bosnia we are amazed by the culture, welcoming and friendly people, beautiful city and nature.
