Devil's Pool - The Most Dangerous Natural Infinity Pool

After thousands of years of erosion, many rock pools have formed near the great Victoria Falls and one of them is right on the very edge! Devil’s Pool – with a steep precipice and an up-close-and-personal view of the sheer drop off the side of the Falls – is indeed the ultimate infinity pool!

Devils Pool Victoria Falls: Inches From Death!

The Devils Pool at Victoria Falls can be either very scary and exciting, or pretty calm and just neat to look at it. We got to experience it while literally inches from death as the water flow was at its peak in January and they were only one week from shutting down visits because of the risk factor becoming too great.

Once the pool is closed, tourists are forced to visit the much calmer Angels Pool, and we had this option as well on our excursion.

With the flow being so high, they also insisted that everyone confirm they are a strong swimmer. Of course all 9 of our group said, Yes, I can swim but once we were shown the course that we would tread, 3 in the group suddenly decided that they were not strong swimmers.

It might seem expensive at about $100, but we think it is money well spent. You'll definitely get your heart racing and your adrenaline pumping...something we think everyone should do every now and then!

FYI: We recorded this with our GoPro Fusion, a 360 camera that we really enjoy because we don't have to worry about where we are pointing the camera, we just hit record.

Devil's Pool: The Scariest thing I've ever Done

Get Lost in South Africa with Kelley Ferro: Episode 16

Victoria Falls, located on the Zambia/Zimbabwe border, is the world's largest sheet of falling water at 360 feet up. I decided to jump in the raging current and get pushed to the Fall's edge in what is known in African lore as Devil's Pool. No ropes, no safety precautions, just pure exhilaration & daring.

Devil's Pool, Victoria Falls, Livingstone Island, Zambia

Definitely for those wanting to experience the Victoria Falls in a very up close and personal way! The Devil's Pool is accessible from the Zambian side of the falls via Livingstone Island during the Zambezi Rivers low flow months from August to mid January.

Victoria Falls Bridge Swing - 26/08/18

The dare-devil Victoria Falls Bridge swing!
While visiting Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, I crossed the Victoria Bridge Falls and found out that there is a swing and also a bungee jump.
Victoria Falls Bridge is located between Zambia and Zimbabwe over the Zambezi River.
The brigade is 233 feet hight and you can swing into the beautiful gorge over the river.
It's a lot of fun and when you cross Victoria Falls Bridge you can decide if you want to do it or not.
Would you dare to do the Victoria Bridge Swing?

Devil's Pool is Near the edge of the Victoria falls on Livingstone Island on the Zambian side. When the river flow is at a certain level, usually between September and December, a rock barrier forms an eddy with minimal current, allowing adventurous swimmers to splash around in relative safety a few feet from the point where the water cascades over the falls.

Occasional deaths and Victoria Falls Devil's Pool Accident have been reported when people have slipped over the rock barrier

On the edge of Victoria Falls in DEVIL'S POOL.

Monday (26/9/2022) :- A glimpse of the edge of Victoria Falls from the one and only infinity pool in the World, DEVIL'S POOL on Livingston Island on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. We a group of tourists had travelled by speed boat to Livingstone Island to have a dip in the one and only infinity pool in the World, DEVIL'S POOL.September is the Dry Season when the Eastern Cataract of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side dries up in many places and hence we could walk to the edge of Victoria Falls and have a dip in DEVIL'S POOL. Ahoy !

VICTORIA FALLS DEVIL'S POOL - Watch this before going!

To be at the edge of WORLD'S LARGEST WATERFALL is one of the lifetime experience you can ever have. Devil's Pool is only accessible from Zambia and it is only safe enough during the low water season (August to December). If you stay at Zimbabwe, not to worry - its doable in a day's trip.

Angel's Pool, Victoria Falls: Swimming At The Edge of A Waterfall

Angel's Pool, Victoria Falls, Zambia.
Would you dare to swim to the edge of a waterfall at Angel's Pool?
Angel’s Pool is an alternative to the famous Devil’s Pool in Zambia.
The pool is open only in certain period of the year when the falls have less water.
To visit it, you need to book a tour and pay from US$ 110 to 175, depending of the time of your visit. I know it’s expensive, but it’s worthwhile though.

I loved it!
