Midnight Tacos In Mexico City ????????

Solo In Mexico's Most Dangerous Barrio ????????

???????? Ask any resident of Mexico City where they would avoid visiting and the answer always come back: Tepito. A barrio of counterfeit markets and dark alleyways where the hoodlums run the streets, the Barrio Bravo ( Ferocious neighbourhood ) is a place I was told not to go to if I valued my life and possessions. But could it really be that bad? There was only one way to find out. I had to go and investigate.

The Original Taco Bell Tacos - MEXICAN STREET FOOD Tour in Los Angeles, California!

►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week:
►T-shirts and caps available now:

Thanks to Jeffrey Merrihue ( and Austin Burgess (

Along with Jeffrey and Austin - two food extreme friends, we set off on a day of Mexican food and fun feasting in greater LA.

Gilberto’s Taquiza - For the first stop on this Mexican street food tour, we drove all the way to West Covina, California, about 45 minutes from Central Los Angeles, to a little spot known as Gilberto’s Taquiza. Jeffrey made sure to call Gilberto himself to reserve some of the meat dripping dynamite sticks to make sure we had some. The dynamite sticks are essentially stewed lamb, cooked until fall apart tender and dripping with oil. In order to make them he dunked a tortilla into the hot oil, sizzled it on the hot plate, filled it with the fall apart tender meat, and rolled it up into a taquito. The result was spectacular. Everything else was delicious too, but the dynamite sticks were crazily good.
Total price - $35 for everything

Birrieria Guadalajara - Next we drove a little further towards Riverside, California, to eat birria, a special Mexican goat stew. Again, this is another Mexican food that just melts in your mouth, meat cooked until fall apart tender. It was spectacular and all the staff were very friendly as well.
Total price - $32 for everything

Mitla Cafe - Right across the street from Birrieria Guadalajara you will find Mitla Cafe, home to the original crunchy American taco. An American taco is a crunchy shell, ground beef, iceberg lettuce, yellow cheese, and tame salsa. As the true story goes, Glen Bell was selling food across the street and used to come to Mitla Cafe to eat their amazing crunchy tacos. Eventually he got the owner to show him how to make the crunchy tacos, and he later started the entire taco bell empire. The downside is that he never admitted that he got the idea and recipe from Mitla Cafe. It’s nice to see Mitla Cafe is still doing very well, and their crunchy American tacos are fantastic.
Price - $13.95

Taco Bell - Yes, just for comparison purposes, we had to go to the nearly Taco Bell. It had been years since I had last eaten taco bell. I have to admit the crunchy tacos were decent, but the crunchwrap supreme doritos locos thing we order, nope. That just didn’t do it for me.

Mariscos Jalisco - Finally to end this Mexican street food tour of LA, we headed to Mariscos Jalisco, a legendary seafood truck serving their famous shrimp tostadas and the Poseidon. They were delicious in every dimension, and it was the perfect ending to this full day of amazing Mexican food in LA.
Total price - $13 for everything

Thank you for watching this LA food video!

Digging For TACOS!! ???? ???? BBQ PIT to MOUTH Mexican Food in California, USA!

Rancho Sabor ( - Huge thank you to Rancho Sabor - Sandra and Doug - for sharing with us an amazing farm to table Mexican food culinary experience. They cook everything from scratch the traditional way, most ingredients right from their backyard. The location is beautiful and the food is fresh. Don’t miss Sandra’s award winning guacamole! #MexicanFood #California #tacos

The Perfect Taco - What is the perfect taco? That is a serious and extremely challenging question - because there are so many variations and your personality that can affect what is the best taco to you. But Jeffrey Merrihue had an idea that the best taco is the freshest taco. So at Rancho Sabor in California, he arranged to cook a full goat, and have tortillas and salsa made exactly at the same time as pulling the goat out from the underground oven to have the fastest simultaneous taco in the world - or the Perfect Taco.

While it may or may not have been the most perfect taco in the world, one thing is for sure, it was a lot of fun, we hung out with great people, and the food was extraordinary delicious.

Thank you again to Sandra and Doug from Rancho Sabor. They do courses and events about authentic traditional Mexican food and culture at their amazing ranch in Rainbow, California.

At 10pm on a weeknight in mid Feb 2018 I did a full walk from Soi 4 Nana to Soi Cowboy. Stopping a few times to point out popular restaurants, bars and hotels.

Business is down around 50% due to the Chinese virus, many people are wearing masks to try and protect themselves.

Parts of this video include:

0:04 Soi 4 Nana, next to the taco truck
0:24 Nana Plaza, the world's biggest adult playground?
0:50 Passing 3 good beer bars: Big Dogs, Stumble in and Morning Night...
1:51 Sukhumvit road, lucky with the pedestrian crossing lights
2:26 Market stalls and shops
3:02 Soi 3/1, otherwise known as Soi Arab. Many Arabic businesses along here...
5:25 Soi 5, home of Gullivers freelancer bar
7:22 Soi 7, home of the Beer Garden freelancer bar. A new beer bar complex has just been constructed
9:37 Soi 7/1, home of a few bars, hotels and some massage parlours with extras offered...
11:19 'The Game' bar, a regular bar (no bargirls inside) that is good for a pit-stop pint or for watching sports.
12:47 Soi 11, home to many good bars, restaurants and 3 good nightclub. A more affluent area, dress codes for many establishments including no flip flops, shorts, vests, ripped denim etc...
13:39 $2 refreshment stop
15:57 Soi 11/1, some new street food stalls have opened
17:07 Hyatt Regency, another 5-star hotel just recently opened in Nov 2018
18:38 Soi 13, home to the Trendy building which when I first heard it I though the name was a joke :)

THE CRAZIEST TACO JOINT in MEXICO ????????

► SUBSCRIBE for daily travel videos:
► INSTAGRAM for more!

The country of MEXICO seemingly has a taquería (taco restaurant) on every corner and it can get overwhelming... but this one called El Borrego Vuido might just be the craziest one of them all.

My local Mexican friends took me here after a night of drinking, and you won't believe the scene that was unfolding at midnight. Lines and lines of cars in the parking lot full of hungry people, and the waiters run full speed with tacos in their hands. The most popular tacos here are made from cow head, tongue and armpit and it's about $0.50 per taco.

This restaurant was quite the local experience and the service is efficient as it gets. I give this place a 5 star review and I will be back on my next trip to Mexico City!

Alambres at Tacos Don Guero in Mexico City

Open 24/7/365, Tacos Don Guero make some damn good eats. I had al pastor (as did my cabbie who took me to the airport) and suadero. Both were the best of each I had on the trip. These cops were getting some alambres (on the house, of course) at around midnight. Brought to you by

A WEEKEND PARTYING WITH MEXICANS

The most memorable moments in life are always shared alongside the company of others and this weekend was pretty memorable! We drove down to the pueblito of Mayto with a group of friends from Crossfit and spent the weekend eating, playing games, exploring, and having a ton of fun! We use the term partying pretty loosely here, because by midnight it was obvious that we had no chance in hanging with the real party people! ????

If you are looking for an interesting weekend getaway from Puerto Vallarta, Mayto is a good option. Though we will say that after the recent tropical storms the beaches are not at their best. Additionally the roads are pretty dangerous right now so it might be better to wait awhile (a few months after the original posting date of this video) to see if the roads are repaired and maybe the beaches normalize again.

Trying STRANGE new foods in Mexico!

In today's travel vlog in Mexico, we ended up trying new things in Mexico... Cactus, Tejuino, Pitayas, and more!
► Learn Spanish like us!

At first, we went to breakfast with Laska where we did something we might not have done a few months ago: trying strange foods in Mexico. No spoilers! After we ate, we grabbed some bikes for Via Recreactiva in Guadalajara, Mexico. It was our first attempt at riding a bike with a husky. There were many other people biking with a dog (well-behaved dogs at that) but you just need to watch and see what happens with Laska.

Later in the day, we meet up with a new friend, who shows us around Glorieta Chapalita in GDL on Sunday where people have art displayed all around the perimeter. Since we were already on a trend of trying new things in Mexico, we had two more things: pitaya and tejuino!

Although we usually love sampling new and unusual dishes and whatnot throughout Guadalajara and México, we had ourselves thinking... wow, this was a lot of new in one day! Can't believe we tried this in Mexico. And we're so glad we did. :) What should we try next?

Hope you enjoy the video! If you enjoyed it, check out this playlist of all the videos we made in Guadalajara, Jalisco:
