Traveling to Ghana during the pandemic
My experience traveling to Ghana during the pandemic.
I did my covid 19 test about 60 hours prior to my flight and got my result about 11 hours after the test.
I paid 150 USD for the Ghana covid test fee online(link below) and printed the confirmation page.
Check-in, security and immigration checks from Budapest airport were smooth and fast.
During my transit, before boarding my flight to Accra, my covid test result was checked and I was allowed to proceed since my test result was negative and obtained in under 72 hours.
Upon arrival in Ghana, I filled the electronic health declaration (link below), showed my covid 19 fee confirmation page and I was directed to a small room where a rapid covid 19 test was conducted.
After the test, I proceeded to the health checkpoint, the immigration checkpoint and baggage claims.
Although my bags didn’t arrive till the next day, the final checkpoint before exiting the airport was the checkpoint where you are given your covid 19 test result and since I tested negative again I was allowed to exit.
Throughout my flight and airport activities, I wore my nose mask as it was mandatory.

Travelling during the pandemic is a whole ball game (very stressful). Since land borders are closed, I had to fly to Ghana.
A total of 4 COVID test was carried out (departure and arrival). In Nigeria, you get your test result in 6-24hrs after taking your test.
In Ghana, you get arrival test results in 20minutes and departure test results in 6-12hrs..

This video will explain the green list entry requirements, and what tests you need to travel to a green list country. The 72 hour fit to fly covid test UK before travelling, the home test fit to fly covid test, the same day fit to fly test in a clinic or next day fit to fly test. The covid test you need before returning to the UK, the lateral flow antigen test, PCR test, or LAMP test. Finally, the day 2 PCR test for arriving in the uk.
