After 476 days on India's Blacklist, Manisha & I met for a second time during my blacklisting. This time at the incredible Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan - thanks to the Kartarpur Corridor. After meeting in Nepal on day 397, it felt amazing to hug her again. Next, we'll reunite once & for all at home in Delhi, India. I can't wait to see my family again!

Meeting My Wife After 397 Days on India’s #Blacklist
After nearly 400 days on India's Blacklist, I finally met my wife, @ManishaMalikIndia, in Nepal! Follow our journey as we cross the world to meet each other in this real-life Bollywood movie.
As soon as Nepal opened for tourism, Manisha and I knew we could now meet easily. So I left New Zealand and flew to Kathmandu via Singapore. Manisha flew from Delhi.
We travelled during COVID-19, which gave its own challenges. Travel to and from New Zealand is nearly non-existent due to travel restrictions.
I feel like I've served a jail sentence being kept apart from my wife and family. COVID-19 lockdowns and travel restrictions only made it worse. I'll go into full details one day about what really happened. But right now, I can't because I'm scared if I do, my blacklisting will be extended.

We Met Again... Reunited in Pakistan!
I met my husband again, this time in Pakistan. It was his birthday week, so I took his favourite Indian sweet, Imarti, for him. He brought me 3 KG of sweets from Lahore that were gifted by the owner of the hotel he was staying in! When the owner heard these sweets were going to India, he wouldn't let Karl pay.
It was such a great feeling to be back in Kartarpur after 2 years and meet Karl again, if only for a few hours, but it totally made my day.
It's been over a year since Karl left. We all miss him so much and are eagerly waiting for his return so we can have those long conversations and meals together, and most of all, my mother is missing her Chai partner.

The Government of India has separated me from my family in New Delhi by adding my name to their Blacklist without telling me, giving reasons, or letting me reply. I've been away from my wife @ManishaMalikIndia and family for 269 days now. We've filed a petition in the Delhi High Court to request my name be removed from the blacklist so I can return home.

I left India to go travel Dubai and Pakistan in October 2020 and upon leaving they cancelled my visa at the airport. They wouldn't tell me why. So in Dubai I applied for a new visa. They called me in for a meeting and told me I had been blacklisted and therefore they couldn't issue me a visa to go home.
Before someone is added to the Blacklist they're meant to be given the reason, and time to reply. I wasn’t.

Shopping for my INDIAN Wife in Pakistan! (Ep. 1 Lahore & Peshawar)
I go shopping for my Indian wife, Manisha Malik, at #fashion boutiques in #Lahore and #Peshawar! First, we stop by the most colourful store in all of Pakistan, then to get some clothes than can be stitched, then end in a traditional market in Peshawar. This is a 100% pure desi fashion experience in #Pakistan.
Here are the stores I shopped at:
1. Rang Ja Gulberg branch.
2. Cross Stitch Gulberg branch.
3. Store is across from the little dhaba about 20m inside the lane, Chitrali Bazaar Peshawar.

Saying Goodbye After 21 Days Together ????
After being separated for 397 days, we met in Nepal, and now my wife is leaving after 21 days together. She has to return to her responsibilities and life in India while I remain on India's blacklist and can't enter the country.
We're challenging the blacklisting decision in the Delhi High Court currently. I can't speak about the reason I was blacklisted yet. But I will, with proof, once it's safe for me to. The Best Vegetarian Dish in Pakistan! ????
This is my favourite vegetarian dish in Pakistan! It's called Shahi Daal, or Royal Daal, and it's a healthy stew made of urad dal, ginger, chopped onion, tomato milk, almond, ghee, and garam masala. It's the tastiest vegetarian meal I had in Pakistan. It's mind-blowing, and it reminded me a lot of my favourite non-veg dish, Haleem. What's your favourite vegetarian dish?
There's also a meat version available of Shahi Daal. It includes chicken, egg, and pineapple.
I found the Shahi Daal by mistake after being denied entry to the famous Gurudwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal, Punjab, Pakistan. The Police officer who denied me entry, because I didn't have a NOC, advised me to try the food nearby at Mian Gee Punjab Hotel (میاں جی پنجاب ہوٹل)
