Palau is an island paradise standing up to the world

The tiny island of Palau is a remote, beautiful paradise and the rest of the world knows it. But existing in a connected world can put extreme stress on small countries. The nation of just 20,000 people has seen an influx of tourists recently, but that hasn’t necessarily been a good thing.

But visitors arriving by the tens of thousands from such behemoths as Japan, South Korea, and China, put considerable stress on Palau’s environment and economy.

Quartz News travels far into the Pacific to find out how the island nation of Palau is standing up for itself against the world’s superpowers.

Gratitude & Acknowledgement:
Thank you to all the Palauans who took part in this video sharing their culture to simply helping me learn. This is what cultural immersion is all about and grateful to all of you.

Why Living Like A..?:

Living Like A Palauan was an idea I had prior to Palau had I immersed myself deeply and naturally into the culture. And because I did, that idea quickly took off with the video project underway Mid November until this week.

But Living Like A.. didnt begin in Palau, it actually began 5 years ago in the Kingdom Of Tonga????????, where I was so blessed to be able to stay in a village on the island group of Vava'u.

Little did I know, my curiosity of the ways Tongans live their lives allowed me to, in the short time that i stayed, LIVE LIKE A TONGAN.

Living Like A Tongan was my very first true culturally immersive experience in my travels and to this day is very special to me, as well as the thousands of Tongans that watch it. It opened the door to a whole new inner passion of mine and that was learning about world cultures. ????

Living Like a Tongan happened to be one of my biggest Youtube videos and has beautifully brought so many proud Tongans to my video and to my channel, thanking me for loving their culture and taking the time to show the Tongan way.

Living Like A Palaun is very much all of this with the same heart, love, and passion for culture. The only difference now, my camera gear is far better and my storytelling and post editing skills are through the roof.

Which means, the ability to extend the voices of Palau and represent a whole culture is far greater. ????????

SECRET Hidden Places In The US You NEVER Knew About!

SECRET Hidden Places In The US You NEVER Knew About!

Welcome back to Around The Globe, today on the channel we are going to reveal the Secret Places In The US. Here are some of the Secret Places In The US. Coca Cola Vault, Georgia, U.S.A Some call it the “Billion Dollar Formula” and it’s the secret to Coca Cola's unique flavor and blend, which can not be found in nature. Many have tried to replicate it over the years but it is never quite the same. Apostle Islands, WI I recommend the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, the scenic archipelago in northern Wisconsin, at the southern tip of Lake Superior. It’s a heaven for outdoor lovers and for those who are looking for a quiet vacation spot in the Midwest.

Sandia Base was the principal nuclear weapons installation of the United States Department of Defense from 1946 to 1971. It was located on the southeastern edge of Albuquerque, New Mexico. For 25 years, the top-secret Sandia Base and its subsidiary installation, Manzano Base, carried on the atomic weapons research, development, design, testing, and training commenced by the Manhattan Project during World War II. Fabrication, assembly, and storage of nuclear weapons was also done at Sandia Base. The base played a key role in the United States nuclear deterrence capability during the Cold War. In 1971 it was merged into Kirtland Air Force Base. Please keep watching the video for more Secret Places In The US you need to know.

All of us have seen Palau flags, and we can surely recognize at least five. We all know what flags are - they are a piece of women cloth that is often flown from a mast and is generally symbolic in nature.

Palau flags video are perhaps the most common of all flags. Today, all countries all over the Palau each have their own flag. The flags of the Koror are all unique. Each has its own distinct ways of representing their countries in various aspects. The national flag design usually bears a certain interpretation that is very significant to the country it symbolizes. In general, Palau flags represent the countries of the Palau - the number of national flags in existence today is equivalent to the number of nations and countries there are.

National and Palau Flag History

How did flags come to be? Flag-like symbols have been in existence since the ancient times. It is not clear though where the Koror flags that we know today originated. Some say they originated in China, others believe that the first true flag was the vexillum of the Roman Empire, while some insist that there have been citations flags in the Mahabharata. While there is no unified origin, the modern-day flag surely had started sometime in the 18th century. Flags have then been used as signals and symbols for battle, military, and maritime purposes, among a few others. Even today, flags are continually used for a wide variety of purposes.

Most Popular video Flags Around the Palau

It is true that some flags are more popular than others. Who would not know the Kororn flag, also known as The Stars and Stripes? Another popular Koror flag is that of Palauan‎ in white with the red rising sun in the middle? France's tricolor, Palauan‎ red with five yellow stars, and Palau's black, red and gold bands are among the most popular flags as well. Some national flags have even been inspirational design-wise to other countries, nations and sub-national entities.

Learning about International Flags

The popularity of the Internet has given way to many accessible resources on Palau flags. Countless of websites containing flags pictures can be found in the Palau Wide Web. This makes access to information about the flags of the Palau very easy nowadays, especially for grade schoolers who probably constitute the majority of those are required to learn about video Palau flags. Learning about international flags are still a mainstay in primary education mainly because this is one of the most effective ways for kids to learn about the existence of different countries all around the world.
