I was in need of picking up some batteries that were replaced for me at a shop inside of the MGM in Cotai, and well I figured I would take the opportunity to give you guys a quick walkthrough of the inside of the hotel since recording inside of the casino is not allowed.

The MGM Macau was the first MGM property to arrive in the Macau peninsula now known as downtown. Its large glass atrium allows the sunlight through and really does look amazing on a beautiful day. Each area we walked through was more impressive than the previous one. I hope you enjoy this video and stick to the end to see one of my favorite views of Macau.

Celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of Oktoberfest Macau at MGM COTAI
The annual Oktoberfest Macau at MGM will once again rock the town in October this year. To mark its 10th anniversary, the event will take place at MGM’s newest resort hotel, MGM COTAI, with a more spacious environment for bigger crowds. Guests can experience the most authentic bierfest outside of Germany in the 11-day Bavarian party.
Macau Oktoberfest at MGM 2018 will be held between October 18 and 29, 2018 (excluded October 21) at MGM COTAI’s 1/F Roof Terrance. Admission tickets and table will be available for sale at both MGM properties starting from September 17. On top of the regular Family Day Oktoberfest, MGM will introduce its first-ever Industry Day to welcome all employees from the hospitality industry to party up with friends and families with special offers. Complimentary shuttle bus service between MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI will be available during the Oktoberfest period. The number of tickets and tables are very limited, so get them soon before they are out!

'City of Dreams (Chinese: 新濠天地) is a resort and casino in Cotai, Macau, China. It is built, owned and managed by Melco Crown Entertainment. Melco's second mega-sized property in Macau, Cit of Dreams is located directly opposite The Venetian Macao.
City of Dreams, also known as CoD or CoD Macau, is in the style of a podium with four towers: namely the Hard Rock Hotel, Crown Towers Hotel, and the Grand Hyatt Macau (2 towers). Its three-floor podium includes a mega-casino, over 200 shopping facilities and hotel guest facilities. City of Dreams has 420,000 square feet (39,000 m2) of gaming space with 450 gaming tables and 1514 machines, over 20 restaurants and bars, including one of the largest in the city.
The first phase of City of Dreams opened on 1 June 2009, and the Grand Hyatt in November 2009.
In late November 2016, Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd's chairman Lawrence Ho unveiled the fifth hotel to be located within the City of Dreams. Named Morpheus, it will be designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and is projected to finish in 2018. [1] It is expected to contain 780 rooms.[2] On 29 November 2017, Melco Resorts announced that Alain Ducasse will open two new restaurants and a bar at the upcoming Morpheus Hotel, the restaurants are called “Alain Ducasse at Morpheus” and “Voyages by Alain Ducasse”.[3]

This is a short recap of the Fuerza Bruta performance in Macau at the MGM Theatre, a unique interactive show that is not to be missed. The Argentinean troupe is touring around the world bringing this upbeat performance with a touch of latin music and full of passion from Buenos Aires. This is my second time watching them and it is always an extreme an full of energy experience, amazing lighting effects, a transparent pool, music and a team of super professional performers.

Join Daniel, Michael, and Kevin on our tour of Macau. On their first and only trip to Macau, their hotel suite at the Wynn Palace. Las Vegas comes to mind to most of us when we think of gambling and entertainment. But today we are headed to Macau, with a gambling industry seven times larger than Las Vegas. It has a population of nearly 700k people in a 12.7sq mi area making it the most densely populated region in the world. Macau was once a colony of the Portugese Empire after Ming China leased the territory in 1557. It remained under Portugese rule until 1999. Macau is a special administrative region of China, much like Hong Kong. However, the one country two systems principle appears to have faded quickly after our visit in 2018. Casino gambling was legalised in 1962 and the gaming industry initially operated under a government-licensed monopoly This license was renegotiated and renewed several times before ending in 2002 after 40 years.[122] The government then allowed open bidding for casino licenses to attract foreign investors.[123] this triggered a period of rapid economic growth; from 1999 to 2016, Macau's gross domestic product multiplied by 7[9] and the unemployment rate dropped from 6.3 to 1.9 per cent.[96] The Sands Macao, Wynn Macau, MGM Macau, and Venetian Macau were all opened during the first decade after liberalisation of casino concessions.[12
Las Vegas owes much of its modern resort and casino development to tycoons like Steve Wynn or Sheldon Adelson. In Macau, Stanley Ho is known to have had up to over twenty casinos under his control and amassed a fortune over over 7 billion dollars to his name. Recognising that he needed to attract high-rollers from Hong Kong, Ho built a harbour to accommodate the high-speed boats that would ferry Hong Kong gamblers to his casino hotels. Law enforcement accused organized crime of using his vip rooms to launder money in 2007.
During this trip, we will be staying in Cotai, the newest expansion of Macau thanks to the reclamation of land which helped to ease congestion of the city center. Cotai most closely resembles the Las Vegas strip with the Wynn Palace, Sands Cotai Central , the Mgm Cotai, the Parisian just like the Paris Las Vegas, Galaxy Macau, and City of Dreams Macau.
In the Rotunda of Wynn Macau, beneath a golden, swirling cupola that highlights the Chinese zodiac, you can discover a pair of entertainments that rank exceptionally high among the resort's best free entertainments available.
The first is the Dragon of Fortune, a sculpture embellished with actual gold leaf, which rises from its jade-like base amid a rolling fog, accompanied by grand music tailor-made for such a dazzling entrance. As the 28-foot Dragon with its glowing eyes slowly turns, affording each audience member a perfect view, a 12-foot lotus blossom gracefully opens at its center. Each of these traditional symbols was designed to pay tribute to the rich lore and culture of China and serves as a fun exciting break from the seriousness and monotony of their casino.
Alternating with the Dragon of Fortune, Wynn Macau's Tree of Prosperity pays tribute to the four seasons, while also honoring thoughts of well-being, success – and perhaps a bit of good luck.
This combination of music, video and lights starts as the golden dome above opens to reveal a spectacular 36 foot chandelier crafted of 21,000 illuminated crystals. At almost the same moment, an 36 food tree ascends from the floor, with each of its 60 limbs composed of more than 2,000 branches and 98,000 leaves embellished with both 24-karat gold and brass leaf. As the tree gracefully spins, state-of-the-art video technology creates the illusion of changing seasons, from a vibrant green for spring to a golden summer, deep red for fall, and finally, an icy winter. This captivating experience, which alternates with the Dragon of Fortune at 30-minute intervals throughout each day.
On our final night in Macau, we were treated to the impressive firework show from the annual Macao International Fireworks Display contest. Over 100 teams representing their country in the skies. On the night we were there France and Portugal competed.
