MUST TRY Singapore Street Food! WHITE PEPPER CRAB, Indonesian FRIED CHICKEN, & BUTTER Coffee

When in #singapore nothing better to do than to go on a street food tour. First thing in the morning, I had butter coffee and kaya toast. Then I found the most amazing Hainanese chicken and rice after that had to grab some laksa. Next, I stopped by for some murtabak and also some of the best-braised duck and rice dishes. Afterward, I had #indonesian fried #chicken at a cafeteria food court, and for my last meal, one of the best-burnt noodles.

The places I went to:
✧ Heap Seng Leong
10 North Bridge Rd, #01-5109, Singapore 190010

✧ Sinn Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice
275 Thomson Rd, #01-03, Singapore 307645

✧ Sungei Road Laksa
27 Jln Berseh, #01-100, Singapore 200027

✧ Zam Zam Restaurant, Singapore
697-699 North Bridge Rd, Singapore 198675

✧ Chuan Kee Boneless Braised Duck
20 Ghim Moh Rd #01-04, Singapore 270020 Ghim Moh Rd, Singapore 270020

✧ Ayam Penyet at the Canteen 2 in NTU (Nanyang Technological University)

✧ JB AH MENG KITCHEN / WHITE PEPPER CRAB

This Episode Features

Singapore street food tour MICHELIN Bib Gourmand 2022 edition, let’s GO! We only visited 9 out of 67 Singapore Michelin Bib Gourmand 2022 spots but surely they are worth trying when you are planning your trip / travel to Singapore.

1) Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice at Maxwell Food Centre
One of the best Hainanese chicken rice we’ve ever eaten. If you are in Singapore, you need to try chicken rice which unofficially national dish of Singapore.

2) Lian He Ben Ji Claypot Rice at Chinatown Complex
Be prepared to wait for about 1 hour for this claypot rice. We suggest to order mixed rice that comes with chicken, pork sausage, salted fish

3) J2 Famous Crispy Curry Puff at Amoy Street Food Centre
S$1.80 for the crispy curry potato chicken puff, freshly cooked and it’s perfect for snack

4) Hong Kee Beef Noodle at Amoy Street Food Centre
Two options to choose soup or dry beef noodle. Whilst our preference is fully packed beefy noodle soup, this place serves clear and mild beef noodle soup.

5) A Noodle Story at Guoco Tower & Amoy Street Food Centre
From humble beginning in hawker centre stall at Amoy Street Food Centre, this Singaporean style ramen earned the Michelin Bib Gourmand award for 7 consecutive years.

6) Eminent Frog Porridge at Geylang
Well known spot to have frog even among local Singaporeans. Frog legs cooked in different sauces from Gong Bao (dried chili), Spring Onion, Chinese Essence, Chinese Herb Soup and paired with plain porridge. Both frog legs & plain porridge are cooked in claypot which make them so aromatic and super flavorful. We tried the Gong Bao with their promotion “buy 2 get 1 free” and did not regret it at all.

7) Tai Wah Pork Noodle at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre
Hong Lim hawker centre is conveniently located not far from Chinatown Singapore. Tai Wah pork noodle is famous for bak chor mee that translates to minced meat noodles. Egg noodle tossed in vinegar, soy sauce, minced meat, pork slices, pork meatball and lard.

8) Song Fa Bak Kut Teh
Bak Kut Teh means “meat bone tea” - basically pork rib dish cooked in broth of herbs and spices, known for health benefits. Song Fa Bak Kut Teh have many branches across Singapore and their broth is sweet peppery rather than herbal flavour.

9) Unagi Tei formerly known Man Man Japanese Unagi at Keong Saik Rd
One of the best unagi dish we have tried outside Japan. Unagi Tei is famous for hitsumabushi, Nagoya specialty dish.

Monster-Sized SINGAPORE CHILLI CRAB!! ???? Original + Best Chilli Crabs in Singapore!!

???? Ultimate Singapore Chilli Crab Tour!
???? Indian Street Food in Singapore:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

SINGAPORE - Easily the most famous food in all of Singapore is chili crab - it’s truly an icon of a dish that was invented within Singapore. Today my friend Ray and I are taking you on an ultimate Singapore chilli crab tour - we’ll be eating the original version, a zi char version, and finally a higher end live seafood restaurant version. Get ready to eat some chilli crab!

Featured in this video:

Ray Tan - My friend Ray does lots of things, he’s a big foodie, and him and his family own Daisy's Dream Kitchen ( that serves outstanding home style Perankan food.

Zermatt Neo (Competitive Eater @ZermattNeo ) - While eating at Keng Eng Kee Seafood, Zermatt, a local Singaporean competitive eater and YouTuber, joined us.

Here are the restaurants we ate at:

Roland Restaurant ( - Roland is a legendary restaurant, the ground zero where chili crab all started - well actually it started with Roland’s parents who initially cooked seafood from a pushcart. The story is incredible and inspirational how it’s now one of the most famous Singaporean food. We ordered the original version, which comes without egg. Price for crab - $78

Keng Eng Kee Seafood ( - Next up on this chili crab tour we went to Keng Eng Kee Seafood, a legendary zi char restaurant that serves Chinese food made to order in a laid back environment. They have quite a list of famous dishes, including the Chef’s recommended chili crab. We were able to see a bit of the cooking process, which was very cool to see. So many sauces and liquids go into the recipe which is cooked over a raging Chinese wok. The taste was quite sweet, but nicely balanced and something anyone could enjoy. Additionally, probably my favorite dish of the meal was their claypot liver, an absolute must order. Price for crab - $86

Ching Huat Live Seafood ( - Finally to complete this Singapore chili crab tour, we went to Ching Huat Live Seafood, recommended by my friend Ray as one of his favorite seafood restaurants in Singapore. The specialize in live seafood and they have the best of the best crabs from Sri Lanka. We got a huge crab, which was fresh and cooked perfectly in their chili crab sauce. This was easily the best tasting crab of the tour, so incredibly fresh, and the sauce of their chili crab was not too sweet, but more spicy tasting, and rich from the egg. One of the best seafood meals I’ve had in Singapore. Price for crab - $113

And that completes our chili crab tour in Singapore!

???? Ghost Chili:

HANOI, VIETNAM - Today we’re going on an ultimate Vietnamese street food tour to eat 5 of the must eat Vietnamese foods in Hanoi, that are not pho. I’m hanging out with local food expert @Hanoifood from Hanoi Food. We’re eating some local favorite Vietnamese dishes and some extreme dishes as well. It’s going to be delicious!

Thank you to @Hanoifood for taking me on this amazing Hanoi street food tour:

Here are all the places we ate:

1. Xôi Xéo
Location: Xôi Mây (

2. Bún Riêu
Location: Bún riêu Hàng Lược (
Price: 75,000 VND ($3.15) for fully loaded bowl
Pho is extremely common in Vietnam, but there are so many other noodle soups, and bun rieu is one of the best. This place is extremely popular and we ordered it fully loaded!

3. Bún Chả
Bún Chả Hàng Quạt (
Price: 45,000 VND ($1.89) per portion
If there’s one dish that you have to eat when you’re in Hanoi, Vietnam, it would be bun cha for lunch. The combination of grilled pork in a soup of fish sauce with noodles and vegetables is heavenly.

4. Bún ốc
Location: Bún ốc cô Huệ (
Price: 40,000 VND ($1.68) per bowl
One of Khoa’s favorite local dishes is bun oc, or snails and noodles. We specifically tried the cold version with giant snails!

5. Cháo
Location: Cháo Sườn Sụn Huyền Anh Đồng Xuân (
Price: 35,000 VND ($1.47) per bowl
Another common dish in Vietnam is chao, or congee, rice porridge. Rather than being chunk with rice grains, this was one of the smoothest bowls of congee ever.

6. Chả Rươi

Price: 35,000 VND ($1.47) per piece, we ate 5
One more extreme Vietnamese food we had to try was cha ruoi, a sandworm pancake. A little bizarre, but proved to be one of the best meals of the day!

SINGAPORE STREET FOOD tour | Best street food in Singapore | UNIQUE SINGAPOREAN street food

In this 4 part series, we’re travelling all over Singapore to show you the best local food. Singapore has an exciting street food culture and great food can be found at hawker centres and small restaurants all over the island. In this video we’re eating some Singaporean classics as well as hunting down some lesser known local favourites. We start with a traditional Singaporean breakfast of kaya (coconut jam) toast and eggs at Ya Kun. This coffee shop inspired this local tradition and the original shop is still run by members of the family despite them having franchises all over Singapore. Next up we eat a mouthwatering curry chicken noodle soup at Ah Heng and then head off to Kampong Glam the Malay-Muslim quarter for murtabak- a type of stuffed flatbread from Victory Restaurant which has been in business for over a hundred years. We finish with rojak- a local fruit salad from a stall which is widely regarded as doing the best version on the whole island. We hope you enjoyed this Singapore street food tour! #singaporestreetfood #streetfood #singaporefood
