Indian Street Food - SCRAMBLED EGGS PIZZA Mumbai Hyderabad India

Mumbai Street Food Day - Paneer Tikka Dosa, Pav Bhaji, Bhel Puri, and Sev Puri

SUBSCRIBE NOW►
T-shirts:

Day 5: Mumbai, India - We started off the day by first dropping our bags off at the airport. Then we had an amazing street food dosa from Anand Stall. Then we headed to Juhu Beach, which is a favorite beach to hang out and eat Mumbai street food. I tried pav bhaji and bhel puri, then we headed to have some marvelous sev puri, and finally went to the airport to catch our Air India flight from Mumbai to Muscat.

1:49 Anand Stall for Dosa - Located not far from Juhu Beach in Mumbai is Anand Stall that serves one of the best street food dosas in Mumbai. They have a list of creative types of dosas you can order, and when I saw the paneer tikka dosa on the menu, I knew that’s what I needed to order. They cooked it up in front of me, with the batter and then adding in all the toppings. The paneer tikka was scooped onto a plate with the rolled up dosa. It was incredibly delicious, one of the best street foods I ate in Mumbai.

6:04 Juhu Beach and Street Food - From the amazing Anand Dosa, we took an auto rickshaw over to Juhu Beach. Juhu Beach was a bit stormy on the day we visited, and it was incredibly windy. So I decided to just have a quick coconut refreshment while standing on the beach before heading into the food area.

8:00 Pav Bhaji - One of the most popular Mumbai street foods is pav bhaji, which includes bread and bhaji, which is a combination of potatoes, tomatoes and spices mashed up into an almost gravy like consistency. The bhaji is eaten with the buttered bread and it’s a favorite Mumbai food.

11:12 Bhel Puri - Another common Mumbai street food is bhel puri, and it’s especially known for being served on the beaches of Mumbai. The recipe for bhel puri includes puffed rice and sev, which is stirred up with a variety of chutney and some spices, and onions and tomatoes and potatoes. It was awesome, and made a fantastic beach snack.

14:07 Sev Puri (6th Road Sev Puri) - When it comes to Mumbai street food chaats, sev puri is one of my all time favorites, and I was happy to have the opportunity to eat it one more time before leaving Mumbai. Not far from Juhu Beach is a street food stall called 6th Road Sev Puri, that serve a variety of chaat, but sev puri is what they are known for. It’s the best sev puri I’ve ever had. The combination of chutneys and the toppings were sensational.

16:51 Rickshaw to airport - After our final Mumbai street food snack, we jumped into an auto rickshaw and drove to the Mumbai airport to catch our flight.

18:53 Air India lounge - Waiting for our flight, we hung out at the Air India lounge, and they actually had some very good food at the lounge, including some more paneer tikka.

22:02 Arriving to Muscat, Oman - We flew from Mumbai to Muscat on Air India.

Top 10 Indian Street Foods in Mumbai, India | The BEST INDIAN Street Food in Mumbai

???? WATCH: Top 10 Korean Street Foods in Seoul
???? DAVID’S BEEN HERE SHIRTS & MERCH:

Back in early 2018, I spent three unforgettable weeks traveling through India and exploring its cities and historical sites, immersing myself in the culture, and going on as many street food tours as I possibly could.

I spent three days eating my way through Mumbai, the most populous city in India. In this video, I’m going to tell you all about the top 10 street foods you have to try when you visit Mumbai. You guys ready? Let’s do this.

Pani puri, which I first tried at Elco restaurant in the Bandra neighborhood of Mumbai. Panipuri is a round, hollow ball of crispy, fried bread that is punctured and then filled with a soup that can contain chili, tamarind chutney, chaat masala, chickpeas, onion, and potatoes.

Bombay duck, which is a local specialty in Mumbai that I tried at Mata Pita Da Dhaba on Madh Island. Now, you might be surprised to learn that Bombay Duck actually isn’t duck at all. It’s a fish that’s either deep fried or cooked in curry, and cut into strips almost like fish sticks. It’s soft, lightly battered, and crispy, and kind of reminded me of flounder.

Ice Gola, a cold, sweet, and salty treat made of shaved ice. The vendor molds the ice around a wooden stick and then dips it into a cup that’s filled with your choice of fruit flavorings. The one I had was blueberry and lemon, which I loved. It made for a unique and delicious combination along with the salt.

Kalidas Masala Vada Pav, a vegetarian Masala burger I tried in the Mulund neighborhood of Mumbai. The burger was made by mixing several ingredients together on a hot pan, including butter, Masala, coriander, and herbs, and cooking it until it reduces into a thick sauce or paste.

Nitrogen Biscuit, which I ate at the Ice Cream Factory, also in the Mulund neighborhood. It’s a freezing cold biscuit that’s been dipped in liquid nitrogen. Eating one of these bizarre desserts is a spectacle because as you chew the biscuit, the heat from your mouth turns the liquid nitrogen into a gas, which makes you look like you’re breathing smoke. My teeth were frozen afterward!

Ice Bhel is a cold, refreshing chaat dish that contains a mouthwatering blend of tomatoes, onions, puffed rice, garlic paste, and coriander. It’s crunchy and super flavorful, and not spicy at all, and is my favorite thing I tried on my first night in Mumbai.

Paneer Chili, which is a very popular Indo-Chinese dish I tried at Juhu Beach. It is made of cubes of deep fried cottage cheese, Chinese sauces, lots of vegetables including bell pepper and spring onions, chili paste, and a whole lot of deliciousness. I was told it would be really hot, but I didn’t find it particularly spicy. That said, it is bursting with flavor with every bite, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Chicken Lollipop, which I tried along Mohammad Ali Road. This is a fried chicken drumstick that’s covered in a red curry that’s so rich, it actually changes the color of the chicken. When you hold the drumstick upright by the bone, it resembles a lollipop, which is how the dish got its name.

Now, further along Mohammad Ali road, you can find the second-to-last items on this list, mutton and chicken kebabs. Mutton is the meat of a mature sheep, and the most common type of kebab is either meat or vegetables that are speared on a skewer and grilled over a fire. The kebabs I had were made of soft, spicy, minced meat and came with a refreshing salad on the side.

The last food on my list is another I tried along Mohammad Ali Road called Lassi, which is a creamy yogurt drink that was not only refreshing because of the heat in Mumbai, but it was also perfect for cooling down my mouth and throat after a long day of eating spicy foods. I tried two different flavors - the original and the saffron. I preferred the original, but my friends loved the saffron.

Now, if you’re heading off to India to try the street food, I highly recommend you take a dose of Pepto Bismol before breakfast and another before lunch every day so you don’t get sick from eating foods and spices your body is not used to.

Indian Street Food - King of EGG FRIED RICE!! ???????? Unique Food in Bangalore, India!

???????? Indian Seafood Heaven in Mangalore:
???? T-shirts:

BENGALURU, INDIA - Welcome to Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore), the biggest city in Karnataka, and the third largest city in India. Bengaluru is known for being a tech capital, and they also have a lot to offer when it comes to food. Today we’re going on an Indian street food tour to eat 5 of the most unique and unusual street foods in Bengaluru.

➜ Kripal's channel: @FoodLoversTV - It was so much fun to hang out with Kripal who is passionate about food in Karnataka and extremely knowledgeable.

Raja Gobi JP Nagar ( - You come here for one thing; Gobi Manchurian. Cauliflower is battered and deep fried, then stir fried with all sorts of tangy and spices sauce and extra masala spices. The result is truly unexplainable in words, something out of this world tasty.

Madhavan Park Bajji Shop ( - I was extremely excited to try Madhavan Park Bajji Shop for their whole deep fried bell pepper (Capsicum bajji). The bell peppers are battered in gram flour and seasonings, deep fried, then sliced into pieces and sprinkled with salad, masala and lime juice. Really delicious and a genius street food snack.

Uncle Egg Rice Corner ( - Introduced originally by Kripal, this was one place I was extremely excited to try in Bengaluru. Chef has mastered the combination of egg fried rice with hard boiled egg curry. The cooking skills and knowledge of the spice combinations are incredible. A perfect example of humble everyday ingredients, transformed into something spectacular.

Jagli Tindi ( - Reviving old South Indian favorites, Jagli Tindi makes an outstanding idli that is steamed in a coconut shell. It’s something you have to try when you visit Bengaluru.

Shree Vasavi Condiments ( - Located on the extremely popular VV Puram Food Street, a glorious walking street dedicated to some of the best vegetarian Indian street food you’ll ever try, Shree Vasavi Condiments is famous for their Avarekai dosa - a dosa made with hyacinth beans among other herbs and vegetables. The dosa is made by flattening out the batter, adding a handful of the vegetable mixture, and frying with ghee, until extra crispy. It’s unlike any other dosa I’ve ever had, and incredibly tasty!

Thank you again to Kripal for taking us on this ultimate Indian street food tour in Bengaluru (Bangalore).

Trying Indian Street Food in Mumbai!

There were so many amazing Indian street food dishes to try in Mumbai, and our guide from A Chef's Tour, Pooja, did such a great job walking us around and helping us sample many of the best dishes. We were able to try cheese chili toast Mumbai style, sweet paan, gooseberries, sweet curd, bhel puri, moong dal puri, masala khichiya papad, and dahi bhel chat. We loved pretty much all of the dishes we tried, although not every one of them is something we would necessarily seek out again ;)

To book the same tour with A Chef's Tour, click this link (you won't regret it!):

If you are a foreigner visiting India, we highly recommend taking the time to do a food tour! This is our third food tour in India, and each one has been so different and we really feel like we've had the opportunity to sample a good variety of Indian food. With a country as big as India, the food can really differ across various regions which is what we have found to be true! If you're looking for an Indian food tour in different cities, here are two more options with A Chef's Tour:
Delhi:
Kolkata:

Our food tour in Mumbai was a great introduction to the city! Previously named Bombay, this coastal city is home to around 21 million people. It's a big city, but having access to the water gives Mumbai a freshness that is difficult to find in other Indian cities. Although this is our first time in India, we have not been here for about 6 weeks and have got a pretty good taste for what India is like. Mumbai is the last big city we are visiting in India, and we are really excited for what is to come!

We hope this Mumbai food vlog is both informative and entertaining! If you love food vlogs, click the link for our food vlog playlist:
