????????Mexico City was struck by a large earthquake on September 19th 2017. Today is one year since that day. In this video I head to Paseo de Reforma in the downtown area of CDMX to witness an earthquake drill, designed to help prepare citizens for future earthquakes.

I was astounded at the level of organisation which is a credit to Mexico City and really puts them ahead of other areas of the world in terms of disaster preperation.

I also once again hang out at El Angel de la Independencia, check out a street exhibition of photographs highlighting the recovery effort after the earthquake and walk all the way down Reforma to Hidalgo!

Thankyou Mexico City - another fantastic example of strength and community spirit after an event I could only imagine.

Check out my Mexico Playlist including videos from Teotihuacan, Chichen Itza, Isla Holbox and so many areas of Mexico City!

????????It's an average Tuesday afternoon in Mexico City. After a weekend of teaching English online I needed to run some errands and do some shopping at Parque Delta shopping mall in CDMX. Meanwhile I thought it was a good opportunity to explain my channel name change from First World Traveller to The Tao of David. Hopefully it will help you understand more about what this channel is about and how I have changed over the last 2 years of YouTube!

Lots more coming from Mexico City!

Check out my Mexico Playlist including videos from Teotihuacan, Chichen Itza, Isla Holbox and so many areas of Mexico City!

Terremoto en la Cd de México

El 7 de septiembre en casa de Gabriel y Gerardo

This is the most colorful neighborhood in Mexico City! Walk with me through Tepito!

Join me on a 4K walk of Tepito!

Located some 20 minutes north of the historic center of Mexico City, Tepito, the Barrio Bravo, is one of the most colorful neighborhoods of the Mexican capital. Known for its large open air market, the neighborhood is bustling with people and activity on our walk. Unfortunately, the fierce neighborhood also has something of a reputation for crime.

Our walk takes place in the morning and I felt relatively safe while the market was active. Nevertheless, I took the usual precautions that should be taken when out and about at any large city.

Overall it was a great walk in a neighborhood I would definitely visit again. Come with me on this walk and get to know this unique part of Mexico City.
