♫ Mali National Anthem ♫

Le Mali (popularly known as Pour l'Afrique et pour toi, Mali -- French: For Africa and for you, Mali or A ton appel Mali -- French: At your call, Mali) is the national anthem of Mali. The words were written by Seydou Badian Kouyaté and the music was by Banzumana Sissoko. Adopted as the national anthem in 1962, its themes are patriotism, national, and African unity. It states the willingness of the people of Mali to lay down their lives for their nation and for liberty. A common theme throughout the song is the desire to strive for a united Africa. Its music is a traditional European style military march.

It was officially adopted less than a year after independence, by loi n° 62-72 du 9 août 1962. It is traditionally played at state ceremonies by the band of the Garde Républicaine of the Armed Forces of Mali. The Malian Young Pioneer movement of the 1960s translated the anthem in the Bambara language for its rallies.

Similar to the situation in other Muslim-majority countries, I'm finding Somalia (Mogadishu) to be a male-dominant society -- but that doesn't mean there aren't incredible women doing big things behind the spotlight!

So, I wanted to focus this video on the talented Somali women in Mogadishu who aren't getting as much recognition as they deserve.

Through Instagram, I got connected with Yasmin and Maryam -- two young women who represent a new generation of female entrepreneurs and social media stars in Somalia. Here is their full story!

Why I Really Don't Like This Country ????????

UPDATE: I WENT BACK TO BRUNEI TO GIVE IT A 2ND CHANCE!

While I constantly try to find the positives in every place I visit, there are a few nations that I just simply didn't enjoy.

The country of BRUNEI is one of them.

I went to Brunei back in 2014, three years before I made videos, but my negative experiences in the country have stuck in my mind ever since. That, combined with its absurd human rights laws such as stoning to death LGBT members, I felt like this video needed to be shared with the world.

Have you ever visited any countries that you didn't enjoy? Please share below, I'm curious to know.

Beautiful people

Kigali, Rwanda 2019
eng, svk, pl captions

This is a short film about South African Pastor Pumlani Releni. Film was made in Kigali, capital city of Rwanda in 2019. We were very lucky to meet Pastor Pumlani and to have an opportunity to spend few days with him. On his missions he visits churches and schools and preaches to the people in different nations. That how he spreads goodness as a gift and we are grateful to see a bit of his life and how beautiful people in this world exist.

Krátky filmík zo série The life je o Pastorovi Pumlanim Relenim z Juhoafrickej republiky. Dokument sme natočili v Kigali, v hlavnom meste Rwandy v roku 2019. Boli sme veľkí šťastlivci naraziť na tohto muža a môcť s ním stráviť niekoľko dní. Poskytol nám všetko, čo sme si mohli prvé dni hlboko v strede Afriky priať. Teda bezpečie, socializáciu, extrémne zaujímavé lokality a možnosti točiť. Pastor Pumlani navštevuje kostoly a školy, v ktorých šíri dobro a nádej. V spojení s humorom neprekonatelná kombinácia. My sme mali možnosť si užiť a slobodne natočiť niekoľko kázaní na rôznych miestach. Krajších ľudí tu možno ani niet.

We are sorry for mistakes we've done, but we are not professionals. It was our first trip to make a portfolio and we did maximum in our possibilities. We got experienced and next time we're going to be better.

Ospravedlňujeme sa za chyby v našej videotvorbe, ale nejsme profesionáli. Bol to náš prvý výlet za portfóliom a bolo to na maximum vrámci možností. Získali sme veľa skúseností a nabudúce to bude lepšie.

Paradise - A Journey Across Africa

Photos of the beautiful people across Africa: Mali, Senegal, Gambia, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Guinee Bissau, and Mauritania. If you've never traveled to Africa, you're missing a beautiful experience. I set it to this song because on my first trip to Africa, I heard this song and I felt so far away from everything...like I was in pardise!

Mali and Griots

This is a clip from Tabaski 2008 in my village in Kayes. These women are griots, or traditional folk singers. They go around on the biggest holidays and to weddings and sing the history of peoples' family names. My Malian last name is Kanoute, which is what you hear her repeating.

Mali Beautiful Mali

Mali, beautiful, Mali, first they destroyed Timbuktu and one of our oldest centres of knowledge and now they come to strike fear and terror in the hearts of good people - Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, IS, ISIS ISIL or whoever you really are, we've had enough.
Good people of the world, it's time to end the war on our freedom and serenity. Lift the veil, see through false flags, condemn discrimination and hatred, champion freedom, unity, nature, love and serenity and let us uplift the planet Earth as it so richly deserves????.
