MALAYSIA, The Reserved Side Of Asia - Travel Documentary

Malaysia's Majesty Twice A King (I)

x

Malaysia: A colourful patchwork I WIDE

Primary forests, high mountains, idyllic islands, long sandy coastline and exceptional wildlife…
Blessed with a vast array of ecosystems, Malaysia is one of the only 20 countries on earth to be recognized as an area of biological ‘megadiversity’. The core of this diversity lies in its tropical rainforests, a unique natural heritage that has evolved over 130 million years, resulting in a very rich flora and fauna.
But the Malaysian population, too, is an equally colourful patchwork.

Where different cultures and religions meet in Malaysia | WIDE

Located on the shores of the strait which bears its name, Malacca is the oldest port in Malaysia. Its strategic position on the major maritime trade routes meant the city flourished from the 12th century. In the 15th century, thousands of Chinese and Arab merchants plied the city’s streets. Then came the Portuguese and Dutch in the 16th and 17th centuries. While the Catholics and Protestants left many legacies of their passage here, today it is Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus who form the biggest communities in Malacca.

Besides its mainland territory, Malaysia also includes part of the immense island of Borneo. Eastern Malaysia is mainly covered by rainforest, and is home to thousands of animal and plant species, making it a paradise of biodiversity. Over the past 8 years, no fewer than 124 new species have been discovered in these forests.

Why Malaysia is truly Asia? | Explore With Bolu | Kuala Lumpur vlog

Hi Unique Family,

Today I discuss why Malaysia is truly Asia.I also find out if Malaysia is actually truly Asia as it is referred to by the Malaysian tourism. Malaysia, Truly Asia captures and defines the essence of the country's unique diversity. It sums up the distinctiveness and allure of Malaysia that make it an exceptional tourist destination. ... Bordering three other countries, Malaysia is a multi-ethnic and multicultural place. Avid traveler or not, you would have somewhere, somehow come across the advertisement for Malaysia tourism proudly bearing the the slogan: “Malaysia, Truly Asia”. A smooth tagline accompanied by a captivating tune, there’s a lot being stuffed inside this catch phrase. Despite cursing the slogan for being stuck in your head, if you’ve ever been to this eclectic country, you’ve got to agree it’s true!

When people think of Asia, a vast array of different elements comes to mind. Rich culture and history, amazing food, bustling metropolises and lush green tropics, amazing shopping and dirt-cheap prices… the list goes on. But when you thumb through the various countries nestled into the massive continent, there’s one that seems to hold a ‘greatest hits’ of all the categories…Malaysia has it all!

This presentation is a kind of mini documentary on Malaysia and I have explored the issues such as the tourist attractions in Malaysia, Malaysia different culture, Malaysia food, as well as generally explored points as to why Malaysia might be truly Asia. I also discussed about the beautiful nature of Malaysia and hospitality of the people of Malaysia both to foreigners and themselves. Indeed you will learn a lot from this video.

I am pretty sure you will enjoy this exclusive presentation.

Travel Guide to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu)

In this travel video travel guide to Malaysia, I travel to Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur, and to Terangganu, the country's second-largest city.

I start off my trip by exploring Kenyir Lake, located just west of Terangganu, which is actually the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia (it's the size of Singapore). I head to the far end of the lake by speedboat to go trekking into the hilly jungle where I come across a school of hungry fish waiting for eager tourists like myself to provide them with a cheap snack. I then head back on the lake to explore the many islands that call this lake home.

Next, I head back onto the water -- this time onto the ocean -- to do a little squid jigging as part of the first annual Terengganu International Squid Jigging Fest. Squid jigging, for those of you that don't know, is the act of fishing for squid by hand with a line and hook, something I have questionable skill doing.

Back onto dry land, I explore the market in Terangganu, one of the best places to find fresh seafood in the entire country, and try some of the region's favorite desserts and iced coffee.

For the second half of the video, I head east to the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, where I -- what else? -- find some street food in the famous Chow Kit neighborhood, followed by a little more food in Kampung Baru, a sleeping Malay enclave flanked by the city's downtown tower.

I then take the monorail (!) to explore the Petronas Towers and the KL Tower, two of the city's most famous landmarks, followed by dinner in Jalan Alor, the city's famed outdoor street food district.

Finally, it's time for a little rest and relaxation back on the west coast of Malaysia at the island of Redang, one of the country's most beautiful tropical islands, where I get to experience what beach life is like in Malaysia.
