Thanks for finding my video and pressing play!

Now, a lot of my subscribers told me they really wanted to see a video on Eurostar. So that’s exactly what I went and made.

I hadn’t actually been on Eurostar since around 2012, so this was a welcome return. As a kid I remember quite vividly the opening of the Channel Tunnel and the start of Eurostar service. It seemed glamorous in a way that perhaps has faded a bit, as we’ve become used to being able to easily access Europe by train.

Our journey takes us, on a classic Class 373 train, east from St Pancras and straight down into Kent on High Speed 1, Britain’s first proper dedicated high speed railway. We stop briefly at Ebbsfleet International before continuing in a straight line directly towards the tunnel at Folkestone, blasting through Ashford International without stopping. After 31 miles of tunnel we pop out near Sangatte and Calais-Fréthun, and head, via Lille, to Paris.

Sadly, the weather was rather grey in both Britain and France for this video! But you can’t have it all.

Eurostar trains have 18 carriages with three classes of travel. 10 carriages are Standard Class, 5 are Standard Premier (what you might call a hybrid between Standard and First Class), and there’s one Business Premier carriage, where hot meals are served, and customers get flexibility and lounge access. Business Premier is really directed at the corporate traveller, and Standard Premier is probably as much as you’ll need for a good trip.

The surroundings are comfortable and the ride smooth despite the age of the train. My only complaint - a weak meal service. The portion sizes are very small and the quality hit and miss. My fruit salad was not fresh, which is very disappointing. This isn’t hard to get right when you’re loading food in the middle of London.

Anyways, sit back and watch the journey, and let me and the train take the strain... ????????????????

Make sure you have your notifications set! ????

Enjoy the report.

London To Paris By Eurostar Train

London To Paris By Eurostar Train

Great Britain may not be included in the Eurail Pass, but it’s a popular starting point for European rail trips. After a few days exploring London, what’s the best way to get to the continent to start your rail adventure? The train of course! You could fly or take a ferry. But the high-speed Eurostar from London to Paris is the quickest, most convenient, and environmentally friendly way to start your trip. In just over 2 hours you can travel from the center of London to the center of Paris on a comfortable train via the Channel Tunnel.

Departing from London
The Eurostar train leaves from London St Pancras International station approximately every hour during the day. To reach St Pancras International you can take the London Underground to King’s Cross St Pancras station.

St Pancras International is a beautiful station dating from 1868 with an ornate Victorian Gothic facade and spectacular glass and steel train shed arch spanning 240 feet wide and 100 feet high. The station was renovated and there are plenty of attractions to pass the time before your train leaves. These include stylish restaurants, cafes, shops, free WiFi, and even a public piano.

Taking the Eurostar from London to Paris
You need to check in for your train at least 45 minutes before departure. Scan the barcode on your e-ticket at the ticket gate.

The Eurostar from London to Paris takes just 2 hours 15 minutes. Only 20 minutes of the trip is spent in the Channel Tunnel. The rest of the time the train speeds through the green countryside and farmland dotted with villages of Kent in south-east England and northern France.

Even in standard class Eurostar seats are comfortable and carriages are air conditioned. There are two snack bars on the Eurostar. If you travel Premier class a complimentary meal is included.

Arriving in Paris on the Eurostar
The Eurostar arrives at Paris Gare du Nord station – another stunning historic station. From there you can take a metro, bus, or taxi to your destination. Gare du Nord is just a 10-minute walk from Gare de L’Est where many trains depart to destinations across Europe. You can also take travel on the Eurostar route from London directly to Disneyland Paris!

If your Eurail Pass is valid in France, you’re covered for travel on the Eurostar – you’ll just have to reserve a seat. Reservations start from 30 euros in Standard (2nd class) and 38 euros in Standard Premier (1st class).

To book your ticket, call Eurostar on +44 1233 617 575. If you bought your Eurail Pass at eurail.com, you can also book your seat through the Eurail.com Reservation Service. You can print your ticket yourself or at the self-service machines at St Pancras International.

DAY TRIP TO PARIS ❤️ London To Paris Tour | Eurostar Train Travel Vlog | KLOOK

Go big! We took a London to Paris day trip tour on the Eurostar train and back in one day and loved it! Using the Klook app we booked...⬇ More Below ⬇

Until a week ago Stace had never even been to France, yet here we are back in London and trying to plan some travel, and Paris comes up. So we thought it's best to go big or go home! We found a site called Klook, spotted a London to Paris day trip tour and prepared for a big day of travel.

The Eurostar train is super easy, but the prices fluctuate and it can get crazy expensive! Fortunately Klook secures a crazy cheap cost, comes with a full day tour of Paris, a local guide, lunch & champagne, reserved seats on the Eurostar AND helps you beat all of the lines at the main attractions like the Eiffel Tower by going into the fast track lanes. We were sold.

Everything went super smooth, Paris is stunning, the Eurostar is so quick and comfortable and we ended up having the most amazing day going from London to Paris in one day. If you're trying to find a day trip to Paris from London, definitely check out this trip —

So is it worth going from London to Paris on one day only? Honestly we feel like yes! Paris has a lot more to offer than a day trip would allow, but if you don't want to waste hours flying, only have a few days available and want to get there easily with a guide or just want to take an incredible travel day as a taster - do it! We loved it.

Klook offers a lot more than day trips, check them out here —

Paris to London on Eurostar - Video trip report

A trip on the Eurostar high speed train from Paris to London. We travel in Leisure Select class which is a discounted First Class offering with complimentary drinks and light meals served at your seat.

Eurostar - London St. Pancras to Paris Nord

On-board the 05:40, first Eurostar of the day from London St. Pancras International to Paris Gare Du Nord on Tuesday 23rd July 2013!

Check out the very dark storm clouds not far outside London. There were a few lightning flashes not sure how well they're shown on camera, but there were a few nasty downpours of hail on the English side of the channel, which can be heard battering the train as well speed towards the tunnel! Apologies for the lack of footage on the French side, I fell asleep! Catching the early train takes its toll, leaving my house at 3am to get to London for this service, so yeah apologies about that.
But other than that enjoy the video! Had a fantastic week exploring Paris!

Check out the videos taken at Paris Gare Du Nord station & Gare De L'est
