These are our TOP 10 recommended things to do in KUTA LOMBOK...
We are a couple living in Lombok, Indonesia. Coco is from Kuta, Lombok and Emily is English/Australian. We met in 2014 and have been living in Lombok for 9 years. Kuta, Lombok is our home, and it is one of - if not THE - most beautiful places we have ever been; here we will tell you why, and let you in on our top 10 recommended things to do while staying here.
Lombok is the island to the East of Bali, but actually the two are very different islands, they have different languages and religions, as well as different traditions. Kuta is a relaxed beach town but is developing fast, particularly since the new Moto Grand Prix track has been built. Kuta has so many amazing things to see and do, as well as having the nicest, friendliest locals. I would recommend hiring a scooter or a car, to give you more freedom to explore the island. Kuta Lombok is great to visit all year round. Rainy season is from about Nov- Feb, but it doesn’t rain all day every day, and the rainy season is actually the best time of year for surfing. This blog post is just about KUTA (south) Lombok and not all of Lombok. We will post another blog about the top ten things to do in all of LOMBOK.

The Gili Islands really took us by surprise. We admit, we thought it was going to be overrated. The Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan and Gili Air were bountiful in all three aspects we look for in top beach destinations! We had to explore inland Lombok while we were here too! We managed to hike to two stunning waterfalls. Sending Gile was the most beautiful waterfall we saw on our entire Asia trip and Tiu Kelep is right there beside it!

The Gilis are Indonesia's most beautiful coral islands off the coast of Lombok. We visit them during our trip from Bali. In about three hours we see the most beautiful blue water, where the best places are for diving and snorkeling. We hop from Gili Trawangan to Gili Meno and Gili Air, cycle around the islands and snorkel with sea turtles among the colorful coral. We also see the islands beautifully from above with the drone and show you all the highlights of relaxed islands.
We make our trip through Indonesia during a one year world trip. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, Bahamas, United States, Mexico, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar and Thailand. Traveling to Lombok! Here are the best things to do there. Kuta, Bukit Marese, seeing the buffaloes, visiting Selong Belanak and much more!
I traveled to Lombok, a gorgeous island in Indonesia, not far from Bali. There is so mcuh to do there and in this video I show you in a day the best places to go in Kuta, Lombok!
Here they are:
1- Hiking Bukit Marese (visiting Tajung Aan Beach and Seger Reef)
2- Selong Belanak (to the other side of Kuta, in this beach you find surfing and lovely views!)
3- Lacing Beach (not so touristy, perfect for a calm sunset and to see the buffaloes)
