People say it all the time: Sailing is actually 'Fixing things in Exotic Locations'. This cliché mantra always passes through my mind as I attempt to solve a problem that I'm not qualified to fix. But that's sailing life! Things break and there's no magic repair technician there to help you troubleshoot the vast array of issues that inevitably come up on a sailboat.

Fortunately, this time I'm prepared. Our fridge has been dying a slow death and today it finally decides to crap-out. The saving grace: We have 2 cooler sized fridge-freezers on board. That's right, 2 backups for this exact issue. Now I can procrastinate repairing the fridge and go for a snorkel instead.

Ahhhh, gotta love saving today's problems for tomorrow. It's OK, future you will sort it out...one day.

If you're not interested in Sailboat Issues like our refrigerator dying in the tropics feel free to skip ahead. The drone footage of our stunning anchorage here in Moorea starts at 06:11 then we dive into the best snorkeling we've experienced here in French Polynesia.

Before we even leave the shadow of our catamaran we're free-diving 50 feet down to say hi to a couple of eagle rays, a sting ray and a black-tip shark. The water is cool and crystal clear and the underwater creatures are beautiful. Boat Life here in Moorea is all good!

A day in life (in anchorage ) / Sailing Aquarius

This will be quite different but very requested video - a random day in our lives, which we filmed only couple of days ago in New Zealand.
We were very lucky to pick this day for this as it was a nice day with a pleasant surprise at the end.
As I disclosed at the end of the video - unfortunately not all of our days are this nice and chill.
Also, depending where we are - in a marina; on anchorage or during the passage - our days are different. This video shows our day to day life when we on anchor, and we had to sail short distance on a beautiful day although no wind.
Join us to get to know more about our life on a boat...

BOAT LIFE: How We Find Food

Try out Skillshare with us, your first two months free!
A lot of people wonder how we find food when we've been away from civilisation for some time. Well, you guessed it. We go spearfishing. We try and shop at local farmers markets where we can, but here in the Bahamas agricultural production mainly focuses on Poultry, winter vegetables, and citrus fruits. It's a little harder to find a broccoli or zucchini in these areas unless it's imported. But there are enough fish, coconuts, bananas and mangos to satisfy your taste buds for years!

The Story of Tahiti

Immersed in a world of majestic mountain peaks, turquoise waters and white-sand beaches, visitors to our islands create memories through authentic experiences that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. For centuries, the Tahitian people have referred to this as Mana. Mana is a life force and spirit that surrounds and connects all living things. You can see it. Touch it. Taste it. Feel it. And from the moment you arrive, you will understand why we say our islands are Embraced by Mana.

The Islands of Tahiti are located in the heart of the South Pacific, just eight hours from Los Angeles and on the same side of the International Dateline as North America. In addition to the destination's natural beauty, tranquility, and privacy, The Islands of Tahiti offer an array of diverse experiences combined with rich Tahitian culture.

Come discover the rich stories of our people, our culture and our heritage while experiencing the world-renowned iconic beauty that has lured travelers for centuries. Surrounded by pristine, crystal clear blue waters, the 118 islands and atolls offer natural beauty, authentic island culture and unique French Polynesian style. Each island offers a variety of activities and accommodation experiences from luxurious resorts with overwater bungalows, to family pensions to sailing via private charter or scheduled cruise. From our more well known islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora, to Tetiaroa, Taha'a, Raiatea, Huahine, Tikehau, Rangiroa, Fakarava, to the Marquesas, Gambier and Austral archipelagoes, the country covers more than two million square miles of the South Pacific Ocean.
