The Liechtenstein Museum is in Vienna, Austria contains the art collections of its owners, the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, rulers of the principality of Liechtenstein. They include important European works of art, forming one of the world's leading private art collections. Its highlight used to be Leonardo's portrait of Ginevra de' Benci. A catalogue of the artists (with short biographies) featured in the Gallery at the time of Prince Joseph Wenzel was compiled by Vicenzo Fanti in 1767.[1]
The museum, which was open to the public until the Anschluss of 1938, had various locations, including the Liechtenstein Garden Palace in the IX District Alsergrund, Vienna, and the Liechtenstein City Palace in Bankgasse, Vienna. It was reopened on 29 March 2004 and, after battling with lack of tourist interest, was shut down in November 2011.
According to the official website, the highlights of the princely collections can be viewed exclusively as part of an event package or a pre-booked guided tour.[2]

Liechtenstein is a German-speaking microstate situated in the Alps and in the southwest of Central Europe.
Liechtenstein is bordered by Switzerland to the west and south and Austria to the east and north. It is Europe's fourth-smallest country, with an area of just over 160 square kilometres and a population of 38,749. Liechtenstein is one of only two doubly landlocked countries in the world, along with Uzbekistan.

Liechtenstein is one of the smallest countries in Europe and located in between Switzerland and Austria in the Alps. The capital city of Liechtenstein is Vaduz and is situated close to the Rhein river and the Alps. Vaduz offers a true fairy-tale view with its beautiful mountains and castles.
I recently had the chance to travel to Vaduz and explored the city with my drone. If you are traveling through Europe and especially Switzerland, Liechtenstein should be on your list. Due to its size it can easily be done in a day.
