Libyan Sahara Water from the Desert - The Secrets of Nature

Amazing SAHARA: Tassili n'Ajjer, Algeria [Amazing Places 4K]

Six days deep into the heart of the Sahara, into one of the most picturesque parts of the desert: Tassili n'Ajjer National Park of Algeria, near the borders with Libya and Niger.

I never thought I could be so overwhelmed by the beauty of the Sahara but for sure this was one of the most amazing trips I have ever had. I witnessed breathtaking Saharan landscapes changing endlessly before my eyes, and I hope that you too, watching the video, will get mesmerized by the amazing beauty of the desert - the tall dunes, the dramatic sandstone formations (pinnacles, buttes, arches), and the ancient rock art. More than 15,000 petroglyphs and paintings, some up to 8,000 years old, have been discovered in the area. The Tuareg people who have lived in the Sahara for millennia are nowadays happy to guide travelers through its secrets. Tassili n'Ajjer is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that deserves to be seen and admired.

Have you ever seen a lake in a desert? ????️???? Here is one – in Namib Desert!

There’s one in Namibia’s Namib desert. Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by sand dunes. It’s covered in water after a good rainy season. You can even swim in the shallow lake. ????‍♀️
Our tip: climb up the dunes at sunrise and enjoy the view. Then go swimming. But be careful, the floor of the lake is very slippery.

Timimoun oasis: Growing food in the desert I WIDE

Timimoun’s market is filled with colourful and fresh vegetables. One can hardly believe that they have been grown in the centre of the desert, in one of its unlikely gardens.

One of the sellers from the market invites us to follow him back into his garden. While showing us around, he explains to us the ancient irrigation system that allows vegetation to thrive in one of the driest places on earth.

TIMIMOUN OASIS: the veins of the SAHARA | WIDE | FULL DOCUMENTARY

In the south of Algeria, in the red desert of the Touat and Gourara regions, lies Timimoun the flamboyant, one of the most beautiful oases in Africa.

Here, the inhabitants devote their everyday life to the foggaras: a thousand-year-old irrigation system respectful of the environment, but threatened with disappearance by modern techniques that are much less so.

The gardeners of the desert who perpetuate this tradition are also known for their hospitality. In the Berber cultural tradition, a traveller is always made welcome.

The Sahara is the biggest desert on earth. It takes its name from the Arab word for emptiness. In the dead heart of that emptiness there's a place called the Tenere. The Tenere takes its name from the Tuareg word for nothing. A nothing the size of France in the middle of an emptiness the size of the United States. It's no wonder the locals call this place The Land Of Fear”. David Adams retraces the trade routes of the people who call this stove-hot corner of the planet home.

Hadzabe bushmen drinking water from river bed.

Hadzabe bushmen drinking water from river bed. Read more at
The Hadzabe bushmen are an ethnic group in north-central Tanzania, living around Lake Eyasi in the central Rift Valley and in the neighboring Serengeti Plateau. The Hadzabe bushmen number just under 700. Some 300--400 Hadzabe bushmen live as hunter-gatherers, much as their ancestors have for thousands or even tens of thousands of years; they are the last full-time hunter-gatherers in Africa. The Hadzabe bushmen are not closely genetically related to any other people. While traditionally classified with the Khoisan languages, primarily because it has clicks, the Hadzabe bushmen language appears to be an isolate, unrelated to any other. The descendants of Tanzania's aboriginal hunter-gatherer population, they have probably occupied their current territory for several thousand years, with relatively little modification to their basic way of life until the past hundred years. Since the 18th century, the Hadzabe bushmen came into increasing contact with farming and herding people entering Hadzaland and its vicinity;the interactions were often hostile and caused population decline in the late 19th century. The first European contact and written accounts of the Hadzabe bushmen are from the late 19th century. Since then, there have been many attempts by successive colonial administrations, the independent Tanzanian government, and foreign missionaries to settle the Hadzabe bushmen, by introducing farming and Christianity. These have largely failed, and many Hadzabe bushmen still pursue virtually the same way of life as their ancestors are described as having in early 20th-century accounts. In recent years, they have been under pressure from neighbouring groups encroaching on their land, and also affected by tourism and safari hunting.

SAHARA wasn't always a DESERT! What's HIDDEN under the sands?

Subscribe @mindcanny

Welcome to the world of the Sahara, a mesmerizing expanse of sand dunes stretching as far as the eye can see. This iconic desert has captivated the human imagination for centuries, but its origins may surprise you. While it may appear eternal, the Sahara hasn't always been a vast arid wasteland devoid of life. Today, we embark on a journey through time, delving beneath the surface of millions of tons of sand to uncover the secrets that lie hidden beneath. Join me as we unveil the mysteries of the Sahara and discover remarkable facts about this enigmatic terrain.

The Sahara Desert, deriving its name from a simple Arabic word meaning desert, is often mistakenly believed to be the largest desert on Earth. However, that distinction belongs to the Antarctic desert. Nevertheless, when it comes to the typical image of a desert with vast stretches of sand, scorching heat, and majestic dunes, the Sahara truly takes the lead. Covering an area of over eight and a half million square kilometers, it encompasses nearly one-third of the entire African continent. Spanning across ten African countries, this desert is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea.
Interestingly, the Sahara Desert continues to expand each year, encroaching further southward at a rate of five to ten kilometers annually. While many may associate the desert with towering sand dunes of peculiar shapes, cacti, and an apparent lack of vegetation and wildlife, there is more to this barren landscape than meets the eye.

What is hidden under the sands of the Sahara? Incredible facts about this desert

Endless sandy landscapes, the scorching sun and complete absence of people around… This is how one of the most famous deserts of the world — the Sahara - is drawn in the imagination. It seems that the golden dunes have always been here, but this is not so. When you look at the Sahara, its endless sands and silent dunes, you want to know what lies under millions of tons of sand. In this issue, I propose to take a trip to the past and find out: - whether this part of the African continent has always been an arid and lifeless desert. We will find out what is hidden under the sands of the Sahara - and also reveal incredible facts about this mysterious place.

The Sahara! Hidden Oasis desert near The Eye of The Sahara! it's not mirage!

This Oasis is not far from The Eye of The Sahara, rumors is saying that the water is coming from the eye of the Sahara, is really mysterious think and it's not mirage, it's really fantastic.
I discovered the eye of the Sahara details at our family loved channel@BrightInsight

Oases are made fertile when sources of freshwater, such as underground rivers or aquifers, irrigate the surface naturally or via man-made wells.
The presence of water on the surface or underground is necessary and the local or regional management of this essential resource is strategic, but not sufficient to create such areas: continuous human work and know-how (a technical and social culture) are essential to maintain such ecosystems.

Rain showers provide subterranean water to sustain natural oases, such as the Tuat. Substrata of impermeable rock and stone can trap water and retain it in pockets, or on long faulting subsurface ridges or volcanic dikes water can collect and percolate to the surface. Any incidence of water is then used by migrating birds, which also pass seeds with their droppings which will grow at the water's edge forming an oasis. It can also be used to plant crops.

Africa's Sahara Desert is the size of the United States, making it the largest desert in the world. It's also the hottest place on the planet.
Mysteries Discovered Beneath The Sand In The Sahara Desert. The Sahara desert covers an immense area of nine million square kilometers. Despite its territorial reputation, for some reason, people still think that there is nothing to be uncovered under that golden rug. If you're one of those people, that's about to change soon. From ancient Mega lakes that are a quarter of a million years old, to chunks of a protoplanet, this huge ecosystem is home to many mysteries that we're working hard to uncover.
Facts About Sahara Desert | Lakes in the Sahara Desert
For years scientists have been trying to uncover what lies beneath the sands of the Sahara. This mysterious desert holds a lot of secrets and mysteries that scientists have always wanted to uncover and now they have succeeded. Thanks to researchers we now know that eleven thousand years ago, the Sahara was different from what it is now.
The Sahara is home to a range of wildlife that has evolved to survive in one of the toughest environments on Earth. The desert animals include cheetahs, gazelles, ostriches, Fennec foxes, and monitor lizards in addition to camels and goats. The exceedingly venomous sand viper and the d*athstalker scorpion are other dangerous creatures that make this place home.
