La Isla Saona es una de las más grandes de la República Dominicana que se encuentra ubicada frente a las costas de la provincia La Altagracia. Políticamente pertenece a la provincia La Romana. Es parte del parque nacional Cotubanamá (Antiguo parque nacional Del Este). La isla también es de gran atractivo turístico por sus hermosas playas y bellezas naturales.
La isla cuenta con dos asentamientos humanos permanentes, los poblados de Mano Juan y Catuano. Mano Juan es un pueblo de pescadores con casas de madera y la «playa Catuano», la cual tiene un destacamento de la marina de guerra.2

REPUBBLICA DOMINICANA -piccole avventure indimenticabili- #caraibi #santodomingo #bayahibe
Finalmente dopo 2 anni siamo ripartiti per una nuova avventura fuori dalla nostra terra.
Per questo viaggio siamo sbarcati in #RepubblicaDominicana, abbiamo dormito una notte nella città di Santo Domingo, poi ci siamo spostati con dei bus nella cittadina di Bayahibe.
La piccola cittadina dominicana di #Bayahibe è abitata da molti Europei, soprattutto Italiani, infatti qui abbiamo incontrato dei nostri amici Italiani che abitano ormai da tempo in questa 'colonia'.
La nostra prima escursione è stata davvero movimentata, abbiamo cavalcato le grandi pianure Dominicane per esplorare le vaste piantagioni di canna da zucchero.
Nella seconda avventura ci siamo immersi tra la foresta tropicale per conoscere le varie piantagioni medicinali e non solo, che nascono in questa zona tropicale, poi ci siamo addentrati in una grande grotta nel sottosuolo per fare il bagno.
Dopo la lunga camminata un pò di relax con un giro in zattera sul fiume #Chavón, il torrente dove sono stati girati film storici come Rambo 2, Apocalypse now e tanti altri.
Nella nostra terza avventura abbiamo raggiunto in catamarano l'isola di #Saona, un paradiso terrestre, un luogo quasi non reale, sia per il colore delle acque che per la bianchezza della sabbia.
Come ultima escursione, abbiamo raggiunto con un bus il #Monkeyland, il regno delle scimmie, l'opportunità di interagire con tante scimmie scoiattolo è stata fantastica, hanno mangiato insieme a noi da un cesto di frutta e ci siamo fatti tante foto simpatiche insieme a loro.
Grazie a chi ci ha accolto in modo meraviglioso in questa terra, grazie al nostro amico Giuseppe #studiofisiojes per i suoi trattamenti, grazie alla Signora Adele e tutti i suoi collaboratori di #VillaLuna per aver esaudito tutte le nostre richieste.
Speriamo presto in una nuova avventura!
