HOW NOT TO ARRIVE at LANGCLIFFE PARK, SETTLE, NORTH YORKSHIRE - Part 5
Welcome to my Channel - In this video we were diverted due to road closure in Settle & we show you how not to arrive at LANGCLIFFE PARK caravan site at Settle North Yorkshire, we had to turn around & followed the diversion, that was until we then saw a sign for Giggleswick & Settle so turned off & followed this road, Not the best idea but we made it to the site safely, once settled on site we take you on a walk around the site

Pier Cottage Caravan Park Coniston in the Lake District
Our second Lake District campsite in our campervan - Pier Cottage Caravan Site in Coniston. A beautiful site right by the side of Coniston Water.
Moored on the pier is the rebuilt steam powered Gondola luxury steam yacht.
The steam yacht Gondola is a rebuilt Victorian, screw-propelled, steam-powered passenger vessel which is moored at Pier Cottage on Coniston Water. Originally launched in 1859, she was built for the steamer service carrying passengers from the Furness Railway and from the Coniston Railway
Coniston is famous for the BlueBird and Donald Campbells world record and the attempt to go 300mph+ which sadly ended in tragedy. There's a film starring Anthony Hopkins as Donald Campbell which was made about it called Across the Lake which we saw for the first time at Pier Cottage and it was surreal seeing Pier Cottage on the TV and out of the window of the campervan and seeing it for real. - link to video:
We Also took a walk into Coniston and grabbed some dinner in the Black Bull. Also took a quick look around and even glanced up at the Coniston Old Man and took a cruise on the Coniston Launch.
A fantastic site, had a great time, we would definitely go back and highly recommended.

Park Top Caravan, Camping & Crafts Certified Site in the Yorkshire Dales
We visit Park Top Caravan, Camping and Crafts Camping and Caravanning Club Certified Site which is just outside of Richmond, North Yorkshire near Marske. With beautiful views across the Swale valley and beyond.

Great stay at Harrogate Caravan Park in our Elddis CV20 campervan with a visit to Fodder which is a farm shop and cafe next door, dinner at The Travellers Rest, and also a trip into Harrogate.
We visited the Yorkshire Motorhome & Campervan show in Harrogate on Friday 18th March 2022.
We stayed at Harrogate Caravan Park while visiting the Yorkshire Motorhome and Campervan Show which was conveniently located near the show ground.
There's a cafe and produce shop next door to Harrogate Caravan Park which is handy for anything you may have forgotten or maybe even a treat.
We also visited The Travellers Rest which is near to Harrogate Caravan Park:

Situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, and only six miles from Scarborough with its two bays and castle. St Helens in the Park is an attractive, established caravan park offering a welcome and relaxed atmosphere, with first class facilities.
Terracing and landscaping at the Park has created intimate areas ... screened by trees to create individual spaces each with their own character and outlook
... where families can enjoy their holiday together, close to the play areas for the children.

For those looking for something just a little different there are two wooden cabins available to hire -- each large enough for four people to enjoy and close to the children's play area. Camping without the need to pitch a tent!

There's space for kite flying and football in the three acre space set aside for children, as well as a dedicated area for you to walk your pets.
With Scarborough only 6 miles away and the North York Moors beckoning there is something for everyone.
The superb shower blocks are cleaned throughout the day and all have hair care and baby units available in the ladies section and have hot water on tap 24 hours every day.
There's even a campers laundrette if you need it too.
The well-stocked, licensed on-site shop is open for, fresh milk and bread daily, or if you forget the essentials.
Many of our guests prefer to eat in our on-site café -- with a range of dishes to appeal to almost everyone.
If you're wanting to venture outside the site and explore the area, there are pubs and restaurants within easy reach in the lovely Wykenham Village, or further afield in Scarborough or the surrounding North Yorkshire region.
There's plenty to do and see at St Helen's in the Park - THE best camping and caravanning location between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Coast.
