$20 VS $60 BUFFET in Manila, PHILIPPINES ????! All You Can Eat SPIRAL & VIKINGS Buffet Review

I eat at two all you can eat buffets in Manila, Philippines. One is the legendary SPIRAL BUFFET and the other at VIKINGS, one of the best local buffet restaurants! A Filipino buffets review ft. Making It Happen Vlog! Thumbs up this video & click subscribe ❤️

Check out @MakingithappenVlog (they're amazing!):

On this Filipino food trip we try The Alley by Vikings, an all you can eat buffet with multiple restaurants! We went to the Alley which is their international street-inspired food hall. The price for adult on a weekday lunch is 788 PHP and weekday dinner/weekends is 988 PHP which comes out to $19.51 USD. For the price, the selection and service and experience was definitely worth it!

Then I visit the famous Spiral Buffet known as one of the world's greatest buffet. The food selection is INSANE and I was definitely blown away by the meat, fresh seafood, cheese selection AND the decoration. I checked the most recent Spiral buffet price and it's at 3,500 PHP per person which comes out to $69.12. It is actually much closer to $70 USD! One of the best buffet restaurants I've ever tried for sure. Definitely a luxury buffet experience, worth it for holidays and major celebrations.

Hope you get a chance to visit these all you can eat buffets when you travel to Manila! Which of these two amazing buffets would you love to try?

A big thank you to @Vessi for sponsoring this video. The people and places encounter in the Philippines just keep getting better and better and that goes for buffets too! After getting the spend the day with good friend Sam and JR exploring Tagatay and enjoying their wonderful hearty soups, bulalo, I thought I'd do some exploring on my own as the friends have tired out. So glad that you are able to join me.

After visiting great places like @OkadaManilaIntegratedResort Buffet and @solaireresort 's Lobster buffet, I was excited to visit the Spiral Buffet at the @sofitelmanilahotel . For years, I have great things about this luxurious seafood buffet from the greats like Mike Chen and Mark Wiens, but never had a chance to visit even though have worked in Manila years back (it was all work and cup of noodles to tie me over). But now, I'm so grateful to meet up with great friend (in person and virtually) to enjoy this massive feast! And yes, massive it was! A touch of luxury with the decadent lobsters and seafood with a bit of pretentiousness (in the best possible way) with a cheese room offering 100 cheeses from the aromatic to the pungent. The the dozens of different stations, all preparing dishes to perfection, the ones to look out for was definitely the French station and the Asian noodle station. From seafood to prime rib, and foie gras (for those who indulge) to balut, there's something for everyone. An above all else, it was the people; servers and hosts made it special and it's always a treat to meet new friends and fellow guests.

I hope you get a chance to try some of the great places in Manila! Hope you're keeping well and eating well.. the following links may be of help:

The buffets in Manila just keeps getting better and better and have even surpassed the Vegas favourites like the Caesar's Bacchanal and the Wynn Buffet. I've recently heard that the biggest and best buffet in Manila is at the legendary iconic Manila Hotel @themanilahotel1912 . Given the grandeur of many of the buffets here, that is a tall order and the only way to verify is with a visit. I was happy to oblige.

The Manila Hotel is a historic landmark since 1912 and is just as grand as ever! Living up to this style, it's buffet offering at Cafe Ilang Ilang is an indulgent and grand experience there one can become lost in the maze of 12 gourmet stations. From luscious lobsters to the crispy lechon; a Japanese buffet station that resembles that of Iron Chef's kitchen stadium to the brigade of chefs cooking and serving classic dishes made to order, it all culminates into a wonderful evening for celebration and feasting. And as usual, as good as the food and ambiance were, it was the servers, chefs, and hosts that made it memorable.

Spiral Buffet: The Most Amazing Buffet I've Ever Seen! (Manila Day 4)

See more photos and details about Spiral Buffet here: Read the full post here:

On Day 4 in Manila, Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Manila invited us to go to their Spiral Sunday brunch / lunch buffet. Since I had already heard about it from others, many of whom said it was the best and grandest buffet in the Philippines, and maybe in Asia, I was pretty excited to have the chance to try it out.

We arrived right as the sunday lunch buffet started, right at 12 noon, and we first met the manager who showed us around the buffet, and explained the philosophy of the buffet. At Spiral Buffet in Manila they have 21 different food ateliers, which is French means artisan workstations - so at the buffet they mean different types of cuisine and stalls. So there are basically 21 different types of cuisine to choose from, French, Indian, Filipino, Thai, and a full cheese room, and fresh cold Japanese section as well. As soon as we sat down, we were poured a glass of champagne to begin with. There are two different prices for the sunday brunch buffet - you can either go with unlimited alcoholic beverages (champagne and wine) or you can go without alcohol. If you’re interested in drinking, the former option is a great option.

I had no clue where to start eating, so I just went with the food that was the closest to our table - the cold Japanese atelier - including a full tuna sitting and waiting to be sliced by the piece. After my plate of sushi and sashimi and caviar, I then had a plate of Filipino food including crocodile adobo and the infamous balut - a fertilized boiled egg - all of which were pretty good. I then had a plate of Indian food, French food, and some Japanese hot food too.

What I really liked about Spiral Buffet at Sofitel Manila is that even though it was so incredibly grand and so extensive, the food was cooked in small batches, so it wouldn’t sit too long before being finished off. This way, the food remained fresh, and hot, and though it was a buffet, the quality was truly top notch. I haven’t been to too many hotel buffets in my life, but this was easily one of the best buffets I’ve ever seen or eaten at.

Spiral Buffet, Sofitel Philippine Plaza, Manila
Address: CCP Complex Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City, Manila, 1300, Philippines
Phone number and contact: (+632) 551-5555 and fbreservations@sofitelmanila.com (reservations on a Sunday for lunch are recommended)
Website: and
Prices: 4,092 PHP per person with alcohol, 3,378 PHP per person with no alcohol
How to get there: Spiral Buffet is located Sofitel Philippine Plaza which is at Manila Bay, not far from the Mall of Asia.

Disclosure: We were invited to eat at Spiral Buffet, so didn’t pay for our meal. But everything in this video, and all thoughts are my own.

Manila's Luxurious 5-Star Buffet | Crispy Lechon & Seafood -The Ultimate Filipino Dining Experience!

Sponsored by The Ridge Wallet. Use my link: to get the best deal for up to 30% off.

A big thank you to Ridge.com for sponsoring this video! After a day of exploring the all the great eateries in Manila and experiencing the luscious bone marrow bulalo; a delicious traditional beef soup, I had to take a bit of a rest. It's easy to indulge in too much food especially in a place like Manila with all the street food from skewers, sisig and all good things pork... and it's an incredible deal.

And after a short rest, night has fallen and looking around me, this reminds me so much of Vegas, with the lights, resorts, casinos, and of course, the buffets! I'm excited to a modest buffet, but even a modest buffet in the Philippines is a 5-star buffet so no complaints here! This is an international buffet featuring dishes from many cultures, but they also showcase one culture for a period of time. This current offering happens to focus on Indian cuisine! And did the Indian cuisine ever shine! Fro the roasts produced by the tandoor to the giant roast lamb that could be mistaken to be camel given the size; to all the rich flavourful gravies, curries and the fresh breads.

Want to expand the taste buds beyond India? Go a little further right and you'll be at the Italian station with the delicate Barramundi and all the great dishes from the Mediterranean region. Go to the left and you'll discover all the great flavours of Asia. A wonderful experience all around.

A big thank you to Ridge.com for sponsoring this video! Enjoying the great sights of Manila as well as the food. I got a chance to meet up with good friend Michelle and we explored the mean streets of Manila (so to speak) and spent an enjoyable day touring, shopping and eating. Our first stop was in Tokyo town where we found this hidden Japanese restaurant. Service and food was exceptional and the surprise of the day? The wonderful mackerel sashimi! Absolutely a must try... Then we were off to do more walking and exploring.

Really good to work up an appetite as later that evening, there was a trip planned to the Solaire Resort and Casino for their unlimited lobster and seafood buffet! With over 25 lobster dishes on the menu along with the endless buffet, we were in for a treat! Lobster Tempura? or Lobster Kare Kare? How about a Lobster chowder, or a baked cheesy lobster? We can give those all a try and try I did :-)

Amazing hospitality and endless seafood and meats; it was truly one of the best buffets I've been to.

Buffet in the Philippines | Manila's Massive Seafood Buffet at Okada Manila...

It's been incredibly busy at work with 18 hour days through the weekdays and the weekends, so when there's an opportunity for a little break, let's take full advantage of this! So happy to connect with each other and let's make this moment special by going to one of the best buffets I've been to. The catch? It's in the Philippines! ...and half the fun is simply getting there!

Years ago, when I had the good fortune to work in the Philippines, I got a chance to visit a luxurious buffet that was overwhelming is size and quality in the best possible way! It was called the Medley Buffet at the @OkadaManilaIntegratedResort Casino in Manila. Back then they were just going through their soft openings and even then, it was grand! Over the top in every respect, it's the Vegas style buffet but with the grandeur, elegance, and hospitality of the Philippines! Lobster, lechon, succulent meats & carvery, and probably the largest dessert station I've encountered. Fast forward a couple of years (or five), and I can't wait so see what it's like now!

The Most Popular Buffet in the Philippines | An Upscale Vikings Buffet Experience

For 18 FREE meals with HelloFresh plus free shipping, use code TIMLEE18 at !

So many great places to see and so many wonderful places to eat. This time, I get to dine with good friends Sam and Clara, and new friend Dar and I get the enjoy Manila's most popular spots. My favourite and probably the most popular in the Philippines is a small fast food grilled chicken spot call @MangInasalPhilippines ... perfectly grilled chicken made to order along with the savoury sweet sauces and yes, the chicken oil...can't forget about the luscious flavourful chicken oil.

But the evening had more treats in store. This will be a visit to the Philippines' most popular buffet called the Vikings Buffet. I had a chance to visit the one in the Mall of Asia and as festive and celebratory as that was, they have another location; one that is a bit more upscale called NIU by Vikings; offering the the great dishes as their original location but with touches of truffles and caviar here and there, and an assortment of seafoods and meats... and of course, the wine, beer, and spirits.

I hope you get a chance to try some of the great places in Manila! Hope you're keeping well and eating well.. the following links may be of help:

A big thank you to @Vessi for sponsoring this video! The buffets and dining experience in the Philippines continues to get better and better. In fact this time, I'm at the Entertainment Area in Manila and this the Las Vegas of the Philippines. With the Casinos, Resorts and of course the buffets. I would dare say many of these places surpass its Vegas counterparts.

Take for example today's excursion to what I think it the Best Lobster Seafood Champagne Brunch Buffet in Manila. This is at the Finestra restaurant in the @solaireresort and they offer a Sunday Brunch consisting of luxurious Italian cuisine plated and made to order. From the Seafood towers of oysters, lobsters, crab, and other shellfish; served chilled and/or grilled, to the wagyu steaks, ribeye, fillet, and the pastas, pizzas, and the fresh catch from the ocean, it was quite an extravagant event.

Not only is this an endless feast of food, it is also an endless feast of drinks and cocktails. With the other guests being over an hour late, normally that would be an issue, but not here. Salvan, was nice enough to server champagne and create expertly crafted cocktails (as mild or as boozy as you like) while we waited. This is one of the few times I enjoyed the wait.
