Beirut is the capital and largest city of Lebanon. It the third largest city in the Levant region and the fifteenth largest in the Arab world. On a peninsula at the midpoint of Lebanon's Mediterranean coast, Beirut is an important regional seaport.
It is one of the oldest cities in the world, having been inhabited for more than 5,000 years. The first historical mention of Beirut is found in the Amarna letters from the New Kingdom of Egypt, which date to the 15th century BC.
Before the Lebanese Civil War, Beirut was widely regarded as the Paris of the Middle East, often cited as a financial and business hub where visitors could experience the Levantine Mediterranean culture. Beirut's diverse atmosphere and ancient history make it an important destination which is slowly rebuilding itself after continued turmoil.

Lebanon (or لُبْنَان in Arabic 2024) is a country in the Middle East and part of the Levant. Lebanon like Syria was strongly Hellenized during the ancient and Byzantine medieval times (Greek Orthodox). After the conquest of the Arabs the country became partly Islamized but it still has a strong Christian presence. Mount Lebanon Mutasarrifate saw the emergence of the monastic orthodox traditions of the Maronites, and later of the Druze. This led to the Maronite-Druz dualism of Lebanon which is still present today. Lebanon is famous for its Cedar trees which are known as the Cedars of God. The cedar is the symbol of Lebanon and also represented in the Lebanese Flag. Lebanon is a country of 6 million people. Many of the Lebanese live in Beirut. The metropolitan area of Beirut has a population of 2,2 million.
On 4 August 2020, a massive explosion in the Port of Beirut resulted in the death of hundreds of people and destroyed the harbour and a huge part of the city. As many as 300,000 people have been left homeless by the explosion. The explosion was followed up by a huge fire in the city in September 2020. The cause of the blast is believed to be from stored ammonium nitrate. However, Beirut is rising from its ashes.

Beirut (2024) is an ancient Phoenician-Greek city with a historic city centre in the Middle East. The city was known in Greek as Berytos or Βηρυτός when it was part of the Seleucid and the Byzantine Empires where Caanite and Greek populations lived together.
The city is more than 5,000 years old. It is located on the crossroad of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It was only after the 7th century that the city was slowly arabised after the muslim conquest of the levant in the 7th century. Nowadays still a minority of Greek Orthodox populations survived aswell as Aramaic speaking citizens.
Beirut is the largest city and the capital of Lebanon. Beirut is known as the Paris of the Middle East. The city has approximately 2,5 million citizens. After a civil war and a severe economic crisis in 2019 and 2020, the port of Beirut blasted on the 4th of August in 2020. A tragic event known as the Beirut Explosion, killing over 200 citizens. The accident happened due to the unsafe storage in the port of tonnes of ammonium nitrate that eventually exploded.

MEA Middle East Airlines flight from Beirut, Lebanon to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in economy class. MEA Middle East Airlines / Air Liban is the national airline of Lebanon and one of the oldest airlines in the Middle East. This flight is operated jointly with Air France. The aircraft was an Airbus A330. The flight was quite a positive experience despite the heavy turbulence in the beginning. The biggest +s - fast check in in Beirut Airport, excellent food on board, very friendly and polite cabin crew, generous leg room. The video is available in 4K. Beirut was my first stop on a 10 day tour of Lebanon. It’s the small countries largest city and is beautifully situated on the Mediterranean coast, surrounded by mountains. The city has a beautiful blend of cultures and perfectly merges it's legendary past with a modern, vibrant way of life. The city has been through a lot in recent history, but the cities resilience is a testament to how vital this middle eastern city is to the region. The city is rising from the ashes but there is still so many scars of a tumultuous past that are very interesting to see and explore. I had a few days here, and this is how it went….

上一期咱們聊過世界上最古老最美麗的瀑布，也由此簡單了解了一下曾經的中東旅遊勝地黎巴嫩。黎巴嫩位於亞洲西南部地中海東岸，其東北與敘利亞接壤，南部與以色列為鄰，是中東地區最西化的國家之一。
其首都貝魯特位於地中海沿岸，也是該國最大的海港。貝魯特的城市歷史可追溯至公元前15世紀，與鄰國敘利亞的大馬士革並列為世界最古老城市。
一戰後貝魯特及整個黎巴嫩被交由法國託管，二戰後黎巴嫩獨立，貝魯特成為了首都。貝魯特一直維持著阿拉伯世界的文明都市，重要商業中心以及旅遊中心的地位，因此一度被譽為中東的巴黎，直至1975年黎巴嫩爆發內戰為止。內戰期間很多居民紛紛逃亡至其他國家，戰爭結束後，貝魯特大舉重建，並且逐漸在恢復其中東旅遊、文化中心和主要都市的地位，以及商業、時裝和媒體的中心地位。貝魯特曾被《紐約時報》評為最佳旅遊城市，孤獨星球也將其評為全球最具活力的城市之一。
貝魯特是中東消費水平比較高的城市，剛剛結束戰亂沒幾年，如今滿街的豪車帥哥美女，時尚奢華程度絲毫不比迪拜遜色。
一半是老城一半是時尚都市，黎巴嫩與普通的阿拉伯國家的很大差別，在貝魯特的城市中心都會非常明顯的體現出來。很多遊客來到貝魯特都會去鴿子岩欣賞日落，而貝魯特的美食也是豐富且風格多樣。
如果有時間，並且確保安全的情況下，一定要遊覽一下黎巴嫩的招牌，古羅馬占領時期修建的世界遺產巴爾貝克神廟，該神廟位於黎巴嫩南部以色列邊境附近，是世界上保存最為完整的最大的羅馬古建築之一，也被稱為黎巴嫩的“長城”。
在黎巴嫩的其他城市的黎波里，比布魯斯，塞達等地，也同樣擁有豐厚的歷史文化遺址。

La ciudad es una de las más diversas de Oriente Próximo, dividida entre las diferentes ramas cristianas y musulmanas. Beirut fue destruida durante la Guerra Civil del Líbano y dividida entre Beirut occidental (musulmán) y oriental (cristiano).
Beirut es el centro comercial, bancario y financiero del Líbano y cuenta con veintiuna universidades.
