We also sail through the Kilim Geoforest Park, a mountain range full of caves and coastal mangrove forests. Finally, we sleep in one of the world's most beautiful eco resorts: Berjaya.
After the busy capital of Kuala Lumpur, the jungle in Taman Negara, the high mountains in the Cameron Highlands, colonial Penang and this wonderful island, our amazing journey through Malaysia is over, but of course we continue. This time Australia is up next!
We make our trip through Malaysia during a year-long world tour. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. Malaysia is already our nineteenth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in Langkawi, then back to Malaysia and then on to many more beautiful destinations! Langkawi is a cluster of 99 islands on Andaman Sea in Malaysia. Located at the state of Kedah and about 400KM from Kuala Lumpur. We have spent 2 days in this free duty island and managed to visit some beautiful places the likes of Dataran Lang, Cenang Beach, Tanjung Rhu Beach, KLIM Geoforest Park, Sky Cab, Sky Bridge as well as some of duty free shops. LANGKAWI MALAYSIA full island tour 4K UHD HDR
Langkawi, is the largest island of the homonymous Malaysian archipelago. Stunning landscapes, dense forests, waterfalls, villages and pristine beaches make one of the most enchanting islands of the Indian Ocean.
Cenang beach is the main village beach, Tanjung Rhu and Datai Bay are the most beautiful and secluded.
The Kilim Karst Geoforest Park is a complex ecosystem, where a dense mangrove forest grows around gigantic limestone rocks formations along a river bed, formed some 500 million years back. It is renowned for its astounding sceneries, caves and wildlife, that make a must-see geological, biological and cultural site.
Not to be missed a cable car ride from from the Oriental Village at Teluk Burau to the peak of Gunung Machinchang, which is also the location of the Langkawi Sky Bridge, a curved pedestrian cable-stayed bridge: the wiews over the forest, sea and the islands around are simply astounding.

Underwater World. The largest aquarium in Malaysia is located in Pantai Cenang. So this is the one of the family with toddlers friendly attraction place to visit there. The kids indeed enjoy the place, it is to escape the heat outside the area. Hope you all enjoy!

Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah, is a district and an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia and one of the beautiful island in Malaysia. And I am truly in love.

In this video, come join me and explore what it's like staying at The Andaman in Langkawi, a Malaysian tropical island. Had the pleasure of staying here last November 2018 with an ocean view room! Visited here for my good friend's wedding and it really was beautiful. Keeping this on my list when I get married in the future!
Why it's so nice?
Firstly, The Andaman resort is tucked away between rainforest and Datai Bay, and an 8,000-year-old revived coral reef.
Secondly, the staff is so friendly and completely unpretentious, they always greet you warmly and not in a force like manner. Plus I get the feeling that they don't care who or what you are, they will treat you the same as any other guest which is so refreshing! Completely non judgemental.
Thirdly, it's very safe, you can leave your belongings on the beach and it will be fine. Can't say much about the Monkeys though, you have to keep a close eye on those cheeky ones.
There are lots of things to do at The Andaman resort other than enjoying the private pristine beach, you can also learn about their coral reef rehabilitation. The corals around Langkawi Datai Bay were destroyed from the Tsunami, and The Andaman is making huge efforts to replant and revive the corals in the resort coastline. Don't forget to book your wildlife walk and see the exotic animals and birds in the rainforest. Or Indulge in a massage on top of a hill or paddle board to the nearest island.
