Korean Food Tour - SHORT RIBS BBQ and Juicy FRIED CHICKEN on 14-Hour Incheon Airport Layover!

Korean food tour on Incheon Airport layover!

Flying from Bangkok to Honolulu, my wife and I had a 14 hour layover at Incheon International Airport. I’ve been to Seoul a few times already, but I had actually never been to Incheon, the city where the airport is really located. So we decided to head into Incheon city, eat as much as possible on our airport layover, then return to the airport to catch our next flight.

Sinpo International Market - We started off at Sinpo International Market. It was extremely cold, and we were freezing!

Sinpo Charm (신포참닭강정) - Sinpo Market is known throughout Korea for their amazing Korean fried chicken which is known as dakgangjeong. It’s a sweet spicy fried chicken, and you’ll find about half a dozen restaurants in this market serving it. The chicken was pretty tasty and addictive, but it was too sweet for me.
Total price - 18,000 KRW ($16.86)

Coffee - 8,700 KRW ($8.15) for 2 - It was so unbelievably cold in
Incheon, that we couldn’t really walk around very long, so we stopped to have a cup of coffee and warm up a bit.

Korean BBQ (탑숯불갈비) - This was one of the best Korean barbecue kalbi (beef short ribs) experiences I’ve had in Korea. It was a friendly family run restaurant and everything from the short ribs to all the sides, were spectacular. If I had an Incheon Airport layover and wanted to leave the airport, just eating a Korean bbq meal like this would be worth it.
Total price - 32,000 KRW ($29.97)

Americano - 4,000 KRW ($3.75) - We had another cup of coffee, it was so cold.

Hongdubyeong (홍두병) - 2,000 KRW ($1.87) - Incheon, South Korea, is famous for its Chinatown. Although it was a bit quiet when we went, it was still nice to walk around. There’s a snack you have to try called Hongdubyeong (홍두병).

Sang-Won (상원) Restaurant - Finally to end this Korean food tour of Incheon on our layover, we went to one last restaurant to eat a dish you can’t miss when you visit Incheon - Jajangmyeon. It was my first time to really have an authentic version of the dish, and even though it doesn’t look all that appealing, it’s absolutely delicious. Incheon is the birthplace of jajangmyeon, which is a Korean Chinese dish.
Total price - 13,500 KRW ($12.64)

Taxi from Incheon to Airport - 37,500 KRW ($35.12)

We were so tired, we decided to take a taxi back to the airport. And it proved to be much easier and not that expensive than public transportation. I’d recommend just taking a taxi if you go to Incheon during your airport layover.

Korea Trip is Over! Korean Sauna Experience + Flying Home to Canada

My Korea trip is over! Come join us for a Korean sauna experience at Siloam Jjimjilbang where I have my final meal in Korea (Dolsot Bibimbap) and give you a tour of the premises. After relaxing at the sauna for a bit I head back to my apartment in Seoul to give you a brief tour before heading to the airport by metro to catch my Air Canada flight back home to Canada.

Overall the two weeks I had in Korea was the biggest travel surprise of the year. I'd wanted to revisit Korea but didn't think it would be possible this year. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Seoul, Busan, and Daegu as I got to eat all of my favorite foods, try a few new dishes and visit places I had never been to before.

If you're thinking of taking a trip to Korea I'd highly recommend it. Now that our Korea series is over you can look forward to videos from us coming out from Canada, Argentina and India. It will be nice to have Audrey back on the channel again after a long absence. We're really excited about what we have coming out soon.

Korea Trip is Over! Korean Sauna Experience + Flying Home to Canada:

Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a vlogging travel couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.

Our most recent trip was to South Korea where I embarked upon a two-week adventure without Audrey. Invited as part of a YouTube vlogging trip, organized by KTO, I spent the first week traveling with other YouTubers in Seoul, Busan and Gyeongju. My second week included independent exploration of Korea with my good friend and fellow YouTuber David of DavidsBeenHere.

Having lived and traveled in South Korea, the chance to return to one of my favorite countries was one of the biggest surprises of 2019. On this particular trip, I had an opportunity to do many things I had not previously covered including a visit to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone between South Korea and North Korea), a Buddhist Temple Stay and a Korean cooking class. It was almost as if the program designed by KTO knew exactly what I had missed out on before.

Obviously, a huge highlight from the two weeks I spent revisiting Korea was the food. I feasted on all of my favorite Korean dishes including Korean barbecue, dolsot bibimbap, haemul pajeon, tteokbokki, bulgogi, kimbap and many others. I can honestly say that Korean food is world-class and is one of my top 5 favorite cuisines in the world. Aside from trying familiar dishes, I had the opportunity to sample raw Korean seafood for the first time.

While visiting Seoul, highlights included going to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Namsan Seoul Tower, Jogyesa Temple and Hongdae. As one of the biggest cities in the world, I barely scratched the surface of things to do in Seoul.

Spending extended time in Busan was my favorite part about the trip with top highlights including a Korean temple stay, fresh fish markets and a Korean baseball game. It was from Busan that we ended up taking a day-trip to Daegu where we enjoyed a traditional Korean market and tried Galbi-Jjim for the first time.

If you want to see more videos from Korea in the future, let us know in the comments what places you'd like us to travel to and what food experiences you'd like to see on this travel channel.

Have you traveled to South Korea before? What was your experience like? Please share your Korea travel tips, advice and experiences in the comments below.

KAL Lounge Korean Airlines Lounge Incheon (Seoul) Terminal 1 SkyTeam Lounge Vietnam Airlines

We visit the KAL Lounge at Seoul Incheon Terminal 1! Today, we fly on Vietnam Airlines from Seoul Incheon to SGN Ho Chi Minh city, and onward to Singapore. We arrived at the Incheon Airport early, having read and heard how crowded it would be, and definitely it was crowded but fortunately we managed to do our Tax refund and also check in, security and immigration clearance fairly quickly.

Once inside the restricted area, we made our way to the KAL Lounge, as the CHeck-in counter lady had told us. The lounge is BEFORE the train ride to the Concourse, where our aircraft was (Gate 111), so you have to use the lounge and factor enough time to get to the plane because you still need to take a train to get there.

I read from the internet that this KAL lounge (located besides the Starbucks) was new, opened in June 2019. The signages were not great and we couldn't find it at first, until we asked a member of staff who told us in a deep Korean accent that it was 'besides Starbooks'.

Getting in was straightforward, as we had lounge passes issued by the check-in. The lounge itself wasn't very big, since it was only meant to cater to SkyTeam alliance members and not KAL. I was told KAL flies from Terminal 2 (maybe they have a few flights from Terminal 1, not sure). So the KAL Lounge at Terminal 1 wasn't big. It certainly felt new. We were there during breakfast hours, and there was a decent hot food selection (4 choices of hot food) plus some vegetarian porridge. There were some pastries and croissants, but I didn't see breads and a toaster. There were sufficient drinks, a nifty beer machine, and instant noodles. I pretty much tried most of the stuff I wanted to try, including the beer machine, and instant noodles.

THere were also 3 massage chairs and I managed to snag 1 and had a massage for about 10 minutes until I got bored. The windows were large and overlooked the Terminal gates, but because the were tinted in a certain way (probably to avoid the afternoon sun), I could get a good view of the airplanes.

Overall, it was a decent lounge, but certainly can't be called flagship by any standards. Oh, it is NOT a Priority Pass Lounge. I checked my Priority Pass app and it didn't have this lounge for Seoul Incheon.

WE BECAME KIDS IN KOREA (Everland, Seoul) | TAX-FREE SHOPPING FOR TOURISTS

This video is based on my visit to Everland Resort in Seoul. It is the biggest theme park in Korea. During the visit, I happened to pass from the rush hour traffic of Seoul city. I observed a few things which can be helpful to reduce traffic congestion in urban areas. I hope this video reaches to the concern authorities so that they can implement the best practices to solve the traffic jam problem in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, etc. Also includes Tax-free shopping for tourists in Seoul and Best app for maps in Korea. #Seoul #Everland #TaxFreeShopping
