Meeting The Real Santa Claus in Lapland Finland ????
Journey with me to Finland’s Laplap to meet the real Santa Claus in his official hometown of Rovaniemi. A visit to Santa Claus Holiday Park marks the entrance to the arctic circle at the base of Lapland. Here in Rovaniemi you can visit Santa’s official post office, say hello to his team of reindeer, check out a husky sled dog park and do plenty of Lapland Finland souvenir shopping. Meeting the real Santa in his working office is quite a delight after you venture through a whimsical corridor to get there.

This is how many Finns spend their summer days. In my opinion it’s one of the best and most authentic ways to enjoy Finnish summer.
I’d highly recommend anyone visiting Finland to rent a cottage for few nights to experience Finland in a proper way. Usually the cottages are in the middle of the nature on lakes and have woodfire sauna, BBQ and maybe even a boat you can use.

Finnish Lapland was a dream destination of ours, and we knew we had to spend several days there while traveling Finland. Our time in wild Finnish Lapland began with mushing huskies through the arctic forest and witnessing the pure beauty of the northern lights. Our visit in Lapland was made even grander when we got to stay in a luxurious glass roof teepee at Finland's Apukka Resort. ????????

The first time I traveled to Finland was in 2017 and it was just for the purpose of ticking it off as a country visited. However, the people I met there were so friendly that I wanted to return again. Fast forward two years later, in 2019, I visited it again and this time, I stayed longer to visit my friends who were living there. Finland is a fun place to visit and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Walking in Helsinki Christmas market | Finland Christmas 2022 December ????
The first Christmas market after Covid pandemic. The market opens from 11am to 7pm. This year, the Christmas market is extremely crowded with tourists all over the world!
Best time to visit is during the weekdays definitely. Prettiest time to visit the market is from 3pm - 4pm as the sun would set at that time. The Christmas vibe and lights from the market are the best during sunset.
