Are you planning a trip to Kyrgyzstan in 2017? Looking for Things to Do in Kyrgyzstan? This video and playlist could be for you!
First World Traveller heads to Bishkek, which is the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan is located in Central Asia, bordering Kazakhstan to the North, China to the East, the other Stans (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan) to the west and Afghanistan to the south (although not bordering).
Kyrgyzstan is a brilliantly diverse country, with influences from India, China, Russia, the Middle East and more. This video details a trip to Osh Bazaar in Bishkek, which is typical of Kyrgyz bazaars, selling clothing, souvenirs and most interestingly, Kyrgyz food, from Besbarmaq, Boorsoq, Kyrgyz Naan, Plov and more.
Also, check out the food area of Osh Bazaar, including local fruit & vegetables, flour, rice, dried fruit & nuts and spices, which together result in an amazing aroma and a great introduction to Kyrgyzstan!

Kyrgyzstan is a gorgeous country. Especially when the world's second highest lake, Lake Issyk Kul is located to the north of the country.
In this video, First World Traveller has a beach holiday in Bosteri, on the north shore of Lake Issyk Kul, east of Cholpon-Ata, about 6 hours drive from Bishkek on a Marshrutka. Check out my Airbnb nightmare from hell!
Bosteri is very much a tourist area, primarily frequented by Russian tourists. You can swim in the lake! Although it can be cold even in Summer! A great thing about this area is that you have Lake Issyk Kul on one side and the mountains on the other! Fantastic!

Are you heading to Kyrgyzstan? Planning a Kyrgyzstan Trip in 2017? This video is Part 3 of First World Traveller's Kyrgyzstan series, this time heading to Kochkor, a small town approx 3 hours south of Bishkek.
In terms of Things to Do, there isn't a lot, however Kochkor is a great stop off to experience small town Kyrgyzstan life on the way to Cholpon-Ata, Bosteri & Lake Issyk Kul.
In this video I go for a walk to discover yet more amazing scenery, mountains, rivers, and also discover something great in that the local children will always run up to you to say hello and practise their English!
I then head towards Lake Issyk Kul where I am reminded why I rarely use Airbnb to find accommodation! Check out what happens in the episode!

Are you planning a trip to Kyrgyzstan in 2017? Looking for Things to Do in Kyrgyzstan in and around the Bishkek area? In this video First World Traveller briefly checks out Ala Archa National Park, a large 200 sq km park roughly 50 minutes south of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
Ala Archa National Park was established in 1976 and offers numerous activities from hiking and mountain climbing around the various hills, mountains, glaciers and rivers. I went in Summer therefore the views are probably more spectacular in Winter!
The Archa (where the park gets it's name) is a Juniper tree common to the area and Kyrgyzstan's altitude. It was once believed that these trees chase off evil spirits, however if they were planted too close to a house they would suck the energy from those living inside!

Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan - How to Cross The Border
After waking up at 5am, it was time for country number two on my list for my summer trip - Kyrgyzstan. To get there, it would be going by Mashtrutka across central Asia and through the border to get to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
I have no camera equipment and decided to experiment with travel vlogging with my phone on my journey. It was harder than I expected, not really sure what to say while navigating bus stations and border checkpoints. I hope next time I will have the equipment and practice for a better quality vlog.

Kyrgyzstan's developing tourism infrastructure consists of homestays and yurt stays that expose travelers to a complete cultural immersion to the unique nomadic lifestyle. Aside from the stunning scenery and incredible trekking, we found the Kyrgyz people to be a genuine and friendly people. Traveling to Song Kul and Issyk Kul and more shows just how underrated a travel destination Kyrgyzstan is.

Buses vary hugely in Japan, from Willer Express, JR buses, Highway Express buses and local buses. I would like to point out that this isn't a 100% concrete guide to bus travel in Japan, it is purely my own experience from 8 weeks travel in Japan.
Bus travel is an advantage in terms of cost, however is more suitable for shorter journeys to lesser known locations.

Kyrgyzstan Travel Vlog Episode 3 | Karakol, Issyk Kul, Altyn Arashan & Kaji Say
Welcome to the third episode of my Kyrgyzstan Travel Vlog. In this exciting episode i explore the city of Karakol, the adventure capital of Kyrgyzstan where I spent some time exploring the Dungan mosque, the Russian orthodox cathedral and Tatar mosque as well as some kayaking on Issyk Kul lake. I then moved to the lakeside town fo Kaji Say to enjoy the beach and try Eagle Hunting and Archery in the Mars canyon. The most beautiful place I explored in this episode is the Altyn Arashan valley and its hot springs which were breathtaking.
