Mostar, picturesquely situated in the valley of the Neretva River, is the fifth largest city in Bosnia-Herzegovina with a population of just over 113,000 and historically the capital of Herzegovina.
The city's most famous landmark is the Old Bridge, the Stari Most, historically considered a symbol of the union between Christianity and Islam. Built in 1566, the bridge was destroyed in the Bosnian war in 1993 and rebuilt after the war. It is considered a protected cultural asset and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005 as a symbol of reconciliation and international and intercultural cooperation.
But Mostar has much much more to offer, and as always I tried to capture all my impressions with my camera. The city impressed me so much that I dedicated my longest video to it so far.

We cross into Bosnia & Herzegovina, the 11th country of our bikepacking trip across Europe. We run into some major challenges as we try to find a place to camp, then we head back towards Croatia as we encounter even more difficulties. Possibly our biggest sufferfest video of the trip!
