Our turbulent approach into Manchester as we descend over Stockport Stepping Hill Hospital, John Lewis And Sainsburys in Cheadle Hulme, personally I would give our landing on this flight a 7/10, it was kind of an average landing but smoother than Mytilene in the trip report, the braking was also very fast
Those lights on the runway signify if the plane is too low or too high on approach

Don't think I've ever seen a 757 take off quite like this. 34 year old G-LSAE, performing a test or training flight. With no passengers onboard, so nice & lightly loaded. Sits on the brakes and slowly increases power, before releasing and shooting off down the runway at an incredible rate. Within seconds its off the ground and soars into the sky at such a rate, looked like something from an airshow.
Awesome to witness. I must stress this was an empty flight, with no passengers onboard. The aircraft climbed to a cruising altitude and flew around in circuits over the North sea for several hours before returning to Manchester.

Well let me start by saying, when I booked this flight it was supposed to be a 757. But unfortunately swapped to this 737 about a week or so before. Also having paid £12 for seat selection on the 757, Jet2 required another payment to choose my seat again on the 737 when it was changed. So to say I wasn't happy is an understatement. The flight cost £29, but I paid £24 to book a single seat. So that wasn't a great start to the trip.
The flight departed from Manchester's new Terminal 2. Once pushed back taxied for departure on 05L. A beautiful day for flying across the UK, quite clear skies as we climb across the country. Once in the cruise at 37,000ft something that I love seeing. A race! We were in parallel with a Ryanair 737 from Liverpool to Reus. Flying at 39,000ft, we slowly undertook the Ryanair 737 over the south coast and across the English Channel. Some great air to air shots of that before it turned slightly and disappeared into the distance... For about 45 minutes or so. Then somewhere over central France it returned to view, but not as close as it was. But very cool to see. Starting our descent over Barcelona and approach into Palma onto RWY06L over the sea.

On the 6 March 2023 I took a flight back to Manchester Airport on this 21 Year old Jet2 Boeing 737-800, in the Red n' Grey Livery or (Diet Coke Livery;) It was a great flight, even tucked into a Pizza Twist Taste of Italy we'll see!

It was a very nice flight on our way back from Manchester ! We took off 6 minutes early and we arrived 35 minutes early, the crew was very nice, and the red lights in the cabin were amazing !
The GVA-MAN flight was absolute shit, that's why I don't upload it ;)
