In the video I stated that the “touch piece” of Titanic was sealed off and you cannot touch. At the time I am certain I misread the “Please Touch” sign…as “Please Do Not Touch” (as this is typically what we are accustomed to seeing). Coupled with the fact it was in a plexiglass case was enough to make me think it was only on visual display.
However, through watching other videos of the museum, I have come to know that there is a small hole in top of the plexiglass case that you can reach through and touch an actual piece of Titanic history. My apologies to anyone who may have missed out on touching this piece of history (like myself) due to my statement.

World’s Largest TITANIC Graveyard (REAL Items Recovered from the Ship)
After the sinking of the Titanic, recovered bodies were brought back to Halifax, Nova Scotia in cable ships and buried across 3 cemeteries in the city, the largest one being the Fairview Lawn Cemetery. There's several other landmarks in Halifax which are connected to this tragedy in ways that you can't imagine. So in this video, we'll explore some of those landmarks, learn about the aftermath of the sinking and also look at some of the artifacts that were recovered from the ship after it sank.

Titanic Museum Pigeon Forge

The Titanic Museum is a two-story museum shaped like the RMS Titanic. It is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and opened on April 8, 2010. It is built half-scale to the original ship. Similar to the one in Branson, Missouri, the museum holds 400 pre-discovery artifacts in twenty galleries. It is the largest permanent Titanic museum in the world.
The structure is built in a pool to create the illusion of the Titanic at sea, and the 2-hour, self-guided tour is designed to give guests the sensation of being an original passenger on the Titanic's 1912 maiden voyage.
As guests enter, they are given a passenger boarding ticket. On this ticket is the name of an actual Titanic passenger and the class they were traveling. Guests will learn the individual stories of several passengers. In the Titanic Memorial Room, they will find out whether their ticketed passenger survived.
The structure cost $25 million to build.

An absolutely astounding exhibit!.... In this video you will get a complete walk through of the Titanic artifact exhibit at Luxor Las Vegas on the Las Vegas strip. This is a fantastic exhibition and the largest display of authentic Titanic artifacts recovered from the wreckage. The center piece of the exhibit is a massive 15 ton piece of Titanic's hull appropriately called The Big Piece. It's incredible to see as it hangs on display and crazy to think the journey it has taken from the bottom of the North Atlantic all the way to the Mohave desert. If you love history, I highly recommend taking the tour as it is well worth the price of admission. Enjoy!

TITANIC Artifact: Perfume Vial
This is just one of 62 perfume vials recovered from a small leather case belonging to Adolphe Saalfeld. He was traveling to New York on Titanic to sell his fragrances to big cities in the United States. Although some of the vials recovered had been broken and lost their perfume, some still emit the scent of the samples they contained - despite nearly a century on the ocean floor!

Along the way visitors will learn countless stories of heroism and humanity that pay honor to the indomitable force of the human spirit in the face of tragedy.
On April 15, 1912, the RMS Titanic met an untimely end when it sank after colliding with an iceberg in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. The accident claimed the lives of over 1,500 passengers who brought with them hopes that were never realised and dreams that never came true.
But no story really ends. Relive the promise, grandeur and tragedy of the world's largest Ship as Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition makes its debut at Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center.
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition features numerous artifacts recovered from the Ship's wreckage housed in galleries meticulously recreated to resemble various iconic sections of the Ship. The Exhibition will take visitors of all ages through key milestones in the Titanic's story, from its conception and construction through to life on board and the wreckage from the sinking, as well as the incredible stories of its passengers and crew.
Visitors will also get to learn the story behind the discovery of the Titanic wreck in 1985 and the subsequent efforts made to monitor and recover artifacts from the site.

First Officer William Murdoch was the Officer on duty the night the Titanic struck the iceberg. He gave the command to reverse the engines and turn the ship away from the iceberg, and that fateful night he was lost to the ocean as he worked diligently to save everyone aboard. His personal possessions have been discovered in his leather engraved toiletry bag and it gives a glimpse into the life of those aboard Titanic.

Where to see an amazing collection of Titanic and HMS Bounty artifacts
Once I realized that an upcoming photo shoot with photographer Glen Graves entailed artifacts from the TItanic and HMS Bounty, I asked our digital content editor and sometimes film gal, Leigh Walker to come along and document the day. I am obviously best behind the computer, instead of in front of the camera --as I couldn't contain my excitement of the items he had on display. His collection goes way beyond the Titanic and H.M.S. Bounty, but I was thrilled to hold a few items like Captain Bligh's divider in my hands. These items are all on display at Tony's business, Audio Video Integration in San Rafael, California.
