Located in the west of the capital, Riyadh city, the Snaky River Road is the continuation of Wadi Hanifa towards Ringing Birds Lake. A string of villages and farms lie along the river, including the historical and modern cities of Ha'ir on the western and northeastern sides of the river respectively.
In the current period, wetlands of the Wadi Hanifa had become a popular destination for recreational activities such as fishing and picnicking and have also become a stop for migratory birds. The most famous spots across the Wadi are Wadi Namar, Wadi Hanifa and Ringing Birds Lake of Ha’ir which is now considered as one of the Kingdom’s primer parks.
Visitors can traverse the park using the surrounding paved walkways, allowing them to enjoy the renovated lake and charming sunset views with their families and friends. The Park provides seating areas and services catering to hikers, picnickers, and children playing ballgames or riding their bicycles.
The park has 2 large waterfalls and 2 big islands. The views of the islands from the highlands of the park are something unworldly.

In this video of Living the Jo Life, we go on a boat trip around the Farasan Islands. From the harbor in Jazan, it took about 45 minutes to get to our first stop; our own private island, where we got to relax, go for a swim in the crystal blue water, and enjoy the sun on the beach. After a few hours, we continued to a fishing spot. We managed to catch several fish, before heading to Farasan Island, where we were cruising around some shallow areas with beautiful turquoise water. Near the mangroves, we spotted many sting rays. We also stopped for snorkeling before heading back to Jazan. We had an amazing day and can highly recommend a boat tour around the Farasan Islands.
