Tajrish is a neighbourhood of Tehran, capital of Iran. Administratively it is in Shemiranat County, Tehran Province. It used to be a village and later was absorbed into the city of Tehran.
The Tajrish neighbourhood is located along the northern edge of Tehran. This neighbourhood is one of the oldest parts of Tehran and during the last few decades, has become popular with the wealthy by virtue of the low levels of pollution, in turn created by the area's favorable location along Tehran's northern hills. Tajrish is situated in the Shemiranat County. As of 2006, the neighborhood had 86,000 inhabitants.
The Tajrish square itself is known as Sar-e Pol-e Tajrish which means At the Tajrish Bridge. This square is actually a vast bridge on top of a qanat river. In older times the locals used to call this bridge Gowgal, meaning [The Bridge] of the Cow Herd.

Tajrish traditional market is the oldest market in the north of Tehran. A small market simulated from the big market of Tehran. Tajrish Bazaar has a very old architecture and structure. Some of its places were built more than 200 years ago during the Qajar period. Therefore, it has been registered as one of the national monuments of Iran. When you enter the bazaar, you will encounter a long corridor covered with brown bricks, which was popular among many who remember the memories of ancient Iran.
In the other corner is Imamzadeh Saleh Square, where the people of Tehran have a lot of devotion to the Imamzadeh and it dates back to the seventh and eighth centuries AH.
بازار تجریش بازاری سرپوشیده دارای معماری و ساختار بسیار قدیمی است. برخی از اماکن آن بیش از 200 سال پیش در سلسلهبازار سنتی تجریش قدیمی ترین بازار شمال تهران است. بازاری کوچک شبیه سازی شده از بازار بزرگ تهران.
بازار تجریش دارای معماری و ساختار بسیار قدیمی است. برخی از مکان های آن بیش از 200 سال پیش در دوره قاجار ساخته شده است. از این رو به عنوان یکی از آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسیده است. وارد بازار که می شوید با راهروی طولانی پوشیده از آجرهای قهوه ای روبرو می شوید که در بین بسیاری از کسانی که خاطرات ایران باستان را به خاطر می آورند محبوبیت داشت.
در گوشه دیگر میدان امامزاده صالح قرار دارد ، که مردم تهران ارادت زیادی به امامزاده دارند و قدمت آن به قرن هفتم و هشتم هجری قمری می رسد.

Tajrish Bazaar market Walking Tour Tehran 2022
Tajrish has an old bazaar and a mausoleum called Imam Zadeh Saleh, both popular tourist spots.
Tajrish Square is currently one of the busiest parts of Tehran, with bus terminals, cab terminals, and shopping malls including the popular Tandis Center. The square is where Valiasr Street terminates. Valiasr is the longest and, along with Shariati Avenue, one of the most important streets in Tehran. It is also one of the busiest transportation hubs in Tehran. Many other suburbs are accessible from this square. A major metro station, the northern terminus of line one (the red line) is located here.
Tajrish is at the junction of streets that lead to Saad Abad Palace, Velenjak, Asad Abad, Zafaraniyeh, Elahieh, and Niavaran as well as many of the other places in northern Tehran.
The traditional bazaar of Tajrish neighborhood will be renovated over 18 months at an estimated cost of about 28 billion rials.
The Deputy head of Tehran Beautification Organization for technical affairs, announced that the bazaar is close to Emamzadeh Saleh Mausoleum as well as Velenjak, Darband and Darakeh mountain resorts and its renovation is a top priority for Tehran Beautification Organization. The official noted that the project will include reconstruction of the traditional market using both traditional and modern styles, wastewater collection, power, gas, telecommunication installations, as well as repair of small and large shops and passageways.
Tajrish bazaar has been built according to architectural style which closely resembles the traditional bazaar located in downtown Tehran. Some of its arches have been destroyed due to construction of multi-story buildings and its traditional identity has been threatened by irregularity of window shops and external view of new stores. “According to ratification by Tehran Municipality, the bazaar will be organized according to a new plan which will be implemented in cooperation with Tehran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization. ” The official further stated that the project will take 18 solar months and the cost of organizing this economic and trade center in north Tehran has been estimated at about 28 billion rials.
Tajrish bazaar includes a roofed passageway through which thousands of people pass en route to paying pilgrimage to Emamzadeh Saleh or to the Bazaar for purchasing goods.

Nowruz is the Iranian or Persian New Year celebrated by various ethnicities worldwide. It is a festival based on the Iranian Solar Hijri calendar, on the spring equinox. It is on or around 21 March on the Gregorian calendar.
نوروز نخستین روز سال خورشیدی ایرانی برابر با یکم فروردین ماه، جشن آغاز سال نوی ایرانی و یکی از کهنترین جشنهای به جا مانده از دوران ایران باستان است. خاستگاه نوروز در ایران باستان است و هنوز هم مردم مناطق گوناگون فلات ایران، نوروز را جشن میگیرند. زمان برگزاری نوروز، در آغاز فصل بهار است که امروزه به آن برابری بهاری گویند.
نوروز در ایران و افغانستان آغاز سال نو محسوب میشود و در برخی دیگر از کشورها یعنی تاجیکستان، روسیه، قرقیزستان، قزاقستان، سوریه، عراق، گرجستان، جمهوری آذربایجان، آلبانی، چین، ترکمنستان، هند، پاکستان و ازبکستان تعطیل رسمی است و مردمان آن جشن را برپا میکنند.
نوروز به عنوان یک جشن قدیمی و کهن از اقوام متعددی در منطقه به ارث رسیدهاست و با رنگ و انگ ویژه، شناسنامه ایرانی به خود گرفته و از آن به عنوان نماد پیوند دهنده افراد و اقوام ایرانی و ملت ایران یاد میشود. ایرانیان نوروز را آغازگر رستاخیز طبیعت، گاه رویش و زایش باغ و بوستان میدانند و بر این باور هستند که در نوروز، همزمان با طبیعت، باید روزگار نو و جدیدی را با روان و نگرش نو، در تنپوش تازه ای آغاز کنند.
نوروز، با عنوان رسمی «روز بینالمللی نوروز»، توسط یونسکو به عنوان میراث فرهنگی و معنوی بشر به ثبت جهانی رسیدهاست. این روز همچنین یکی از روزهای مقدس و اعیاد مذهبی زرتشتیان و بهاییان نیز بهشمار میرود.

The Iran Mall (Persian: ایران مال) is the biggest shopping mall in the world in terms of area and one of the largest commercial, cultural and social projects in the world located in northwest Tehran, Iran, by Chitgar Lake.
This multi-purpose complex has been designed on a land with an area of 317,000 square meters and seven floors. Its infrastructure area in the first phase is 1,350,000 square meters which will be increased to 1,600,000 square meters when all the development phases are completed.
The first phase with the capacity of 267,000 square meters of gross leasable area and 708 retail units was opened on the International Labour Day (01 May 2018).
Over 1200 contractors and 25,000 workers took part in the construction of Iran Mall. Iran Mall is owned by Ayandeh Bank. The original idea of building such a great complex came from the well-known Iranian entrepreneur, Ali Ansari, who has also been the chief executive of constructing Iran Mall.

The traditional bazaar of Tajrish neighborhood will be renovated over 18 months at an estimated cost of about 28 billion rials.
The Deputy head of Tehran Beautification Organization for technical affairs, announced that the bazaar is close to Emamzadeh Saleh Mausoleum as well as Velenjak, Darband and Darakeh mountain resorts and its renovation is a top priority for Tehran Beautification Organization. The official noted that the project will include reconstruction of the traditional market using both traditional and modern styles, wastewater collection, power, gas, telecommunication installations, as well as repair of small and large shops and passageways.
Tajrish bazaar has been built according to architectural style which closely resembles the traditional bazaar located in downtown Tehran. Some of its arches have been destroyed due to construction of multi-story buildings and its traditional identity has been threatened by irregularity of window shops and external view of new stores. “According to ratification by Tehran Municipality, the bazaar will be organized according to a new plan which will be implemented in cooperation with Tehran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization. ” The official further stated that the project will take 18 solar months and the cost of organizing this economic and trade center in north Tehran has been estimated at about 28 billion rials.
Tajrish bazaar includes a roofed passageway through which thousands of people pass en route to paying pilgrimage to Emamzadeh Saleh or to the Bazaar for purchasing goods.

Bazaar Reza is one of the oldest shopping malls in Mashhad, close to Razavi Holy Shrine and is one of the most important shopping malls for pilgrims and tourists. It is designed to look semi-traditional but is a 20th-century creation. Bazaar Reza is built in two separate floors and two corridors with about 1711 business units. These commercial units show the prominent feature which is the length of this passage. The main feature of Bazaar Reza is that it reaches more than one kilometer in length. A large number of hotels in Mashhad are located around this bazaar. It starts from Beit al-Moghadas Square which ends on 17th Shahrivar Square and has entrances from both squares.
Crossing this long market by seeing shops and goods makes it easy to overcome the time and enjoy all the variety. Bazaar Reza attracts most pilgrims’ attention because of its proximity to the shrine and they can buy souvenirs. You are faced with a wide range of goods such as prayer rug, Turbah and rosary and Mashhad perfume on the first floor which are good choices for souvenirs from Mashhad. In addition, all kinds of clothing, decorative items, turquoise rings, saffron, barberry, dried fruit and spices can be seen on the first floor of Imam Reza Market of Mashhad.
There are workshops for handicrafts, turquoise, jewelry and embroidery on the second floor. You can see these workshops closely and order the things you need. Also there are shops that buy and sell saffron and nuts on the second floor and you can go there to ease your needs and necessities.
