Day 82 of our new life as full time travelers // Recorded on November 25th 2021
After spending almost three months traveling around Turkey, we felt completely qualified to create our own DIY Turkish food tour in Istanbul. We asked around our new Turkish friends, did our research online, and came up with 14 different foods & drinks we wanted to feature in this Istanbul food tour video. There were 2 drinks we couldn't find though, but we'll try those next time :)
It was so much fun to walk around Istanbul and try so many new foods and old favorite ones too. Turkish food is delicious! We liked *almost* everything!
We hope you enjoy today's video. It was really fun to create this DIY food tour in Istanbul... as you will see towards the end. We had to sacrifice one for the team after all ;)

Welcome to another episode of Chopstick Travel. This is the 3rd episode from our series in Istanbul Turkey! Istanbul is a city rich with history which greatly influences the dishes. Istanbul is PACKED with amazing STREET FOOD and traditional dishes that make you step back in the with each bite.
We take you to have a rich and sinful breakfast called kayak which is drizzled in honey, an adventure to the Topkapi Palace to learn about the Ottoman Sultans who lived there, to have a special HORIZONTAL kebab for lunch with spiced lamb and salad, a quick ferry ride across the Bosphorus river to the Asian side of Istanbul, a quick snack at a local shop for lamahcun, Turkey’s answer to pizza washed down with the local drink Ayran, and of course, one of our favourite foods in all of Turkey, we eat Pide for dinner. It was garnished with raw egg yolk, cheese and parsley. MOUTHWATERING!
